• Restore default keyboard shortcut for Workspace Switcher/Show Desktop

  I tried setting the default keyboard shortcut to Hide normal windows (Show desktop) to Super + S. It didn't work and now whenever I press Super + S, I get the workspace switcher. I tried setting Hide normal windows back to Ctrl + Super + S, but it doesn't work. I'm still getting the Workspace switcher. How can I reset these two settings? I use the Show Desktop quite a lot and it is quite annoying not being able to do it.

  For the life of me, I can not get this to work. I can get MouseEnter, MouseLeave, and Click events to fire, but not MouseLeftButtonDown or MouseLeftButtonUp. What could it be?

I have 4 sections: Section1, Section2, Section3, Section4 There are classes for each section, so I am hiding and showing based on the section. • Cannot update, apt-get cannot fetch index files

  I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10 from the iso 'ubuntu-11.10-desktop-amd64.iso'. I installed this in VMWare Fusion 4.1.1 running on OSX 10.7.3. When setting up the VM, I allowed easy install to take care of creating my user and installing VMWare tools. No problems during installation, everything seems to be working great. The problem is that apt-get will NOT update, so I can't do software updates or install any software with apt-get install. I have been searching high and low, and have found several threads covering similar issues. How to fix a ruined package catalog? is one, Update manager generates 404 error while attempting update. Will not update is another, Ubuntu 11.10 Update issue (failed to fetch...) is a third I have tried changing my software source download location to "Main Server" rather than "Server for United States", to no avail. Same errors. Tried sudo apt-get clean, sudo apt-get autoclean, Have done a sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/*, still having the exact same problem. As I said, this is a brand new installation as of yesterday evening. • UDP packets to IP addresses other than specific ones not arriving and not shown in Wireshark

  I'm writing a service using UDP, but I can't manage to reply to the client. When sending to the client via the DHCP-assigned IP (192.168.1.143) Wireshark shows no sent packets. The server receives and Wireshark shows any packet sent by the client (broadcasted). If I send to a random, unassigned IP Wireshark doesn't show it. I thought the NIC would happily send it, since there is a router in the way - shouldn't Wireshark show it, even though it cannot possibly be received by a remote endpoint? If I send to either the router IP or another (specific, there is only one other) computer, the packet is shown in Wireshark. I am running Windows 7, the firewall is turned off using the control panel. Does the fact that wireshark doesn't show these packets mean that they aren't sent? What reason could there be for showing packets to one IP, but not another, on the same subnet?

• Show USB drives in launcher, but not mounted internal partitions

  Well the title pretty much says it all. I have partitions that appear in the launcher when the system mounts them, just like when a USB key is plugged in. I do not want these mounted internal hard disc partitions to show as icons in the launcher, but I do want my external USB to show there when I plug it in. I've tried MyUnity - it has only an option to not show/hide all mounted devices, which is not what I want. Can this be done? • Why will Screenshot not show up in Dash?

  I'm relatively new to Ubuntu, and am running into a problem I've not seen before. This is on an Ubuntu 12.04 system. I can't find Screenshot. I'm trying to take a shot of a screen from a web page, go to Dash, type in Screenshot, and nothing shows up. I've done this many times before, but suddenly Screenshot is not found. I downloaded an app called Shutter, it seems to have installed just fine, but like Screenshot, I don't know how to find it. Dash reveals nothing. In Dash, I've noticed that I have no applications showing up in response to a search. For instance, I can type Firefox, and get no results either, even though I'm using Firefox to submit this question. Is there something I can do to get Dash to show applications? Search results show only files and folders, and downloads. I did find one answer on Ask Ubuntu, which gave the following instructions: None of these fixes worked for me. But after more searching: rm ~/.cache/software-center -R worked like a charm. I did need to run: unity --reset & afterwards though, for the changes to take effect within dash, but the software center just started working straightaway. However, when I issued the unity --reset & command, it resulted in an internal error, and I'll have to reboot in order to reset my computer (which fortunately is allowing me to complete this question). So I'm still wondering why applications won't show in Dash, and will appreciate any help.

  I have this very simple sql statement: SELECT max_dose FROM psychotropes WHERE (patient_meds.psychotrope = psychotrope_name) AND (patient_meds.patient_id = 12) when I try to run it in Visual Studio 2008, it tells me "The multi-part 'patient_meds.psychotrope' identifier could not be bound" it's weird, because I did set a relationship between the two tables in the diagram viewer

• jquery show / hide div on click even in a slideshow?

  Is it possible to combine a slideshow and show / hide div functionality? My html structure is below, and basically, I'm trying to get the tabs a links to open up the div with the corresponding class if a user clicks on it. If a user doesn't click on it, it should still just cycle through each image. So, if the images are rotating, and I click on <a class="t2"> then would open.
