    I have 2 routers in my place. Main Router (Connected to the Internet) - 192.168.1.1 Secondery Router (Connected to the Main Router) - 192.168.0.1 I have a Network Storage Device and few Shared Directorys connected to the Main Router. (Network Storage - 192.168.1.16) How can i acces one of them using a PC connected to the Secondery Router? Home Network Diagram: I currently have access to the internet using both laptop and Main PC. But i want to get access from my laptop to the Storage and to ym shared directorys. The problem is the my Main router always forwards all packets stright to the WAN.. (Internet)

  • Ubuntu 11.10 firewall/gateway - no client internet access

    I have read many other posts but cannot figure this out. eth0 is my external connected to a Comcast modem. The server has internet access with no issues. eth1 is internal and running DHCP for the clients. I have DHCP working just fine, all my clients can get an IP and ping the server but they cannot access the internet.   • Locked out of our Comcast Business Gateway for seemingly no reason

    A little backstory... Last fall we migrated our ISP from AT&T to Comcast at one of our offices. At that time, we received a new modem/router from Comcast and we configured everything to our liking. We've never really had very many issues with the router aside from having to restart it every once in a while. Here's the problem... About three months ago I changed the password on the router from the default. After that, I logged into the router several times to make changes with no issue. During May I logged into the router to add two new static routes, no problems. A week ago, I tried to log into the router and could not. I tried the non-default password that I changed it to, the default, anything and everything I could think of and no luck. I restarted the router on Monday thinking it may just be locked up, but after the restart it would still not let me log in. This router is at our other office about 2 hours from here and I want to avoid having to drive down there and reset to factory defaults, reconfigure, etc. Any ideas?

  • Internet printing : print to iOS gateway -> AirPrint / something -> Laser printers

    I've done a bit of research on the Internet, and it looks like I'm on a dead end. My goal is to minimize cost, and be able to send and print documents AUTOMATICALLY (may be 10 or 20 pages per day) to a laser printer in a remote office. The preliminary method is to use: iOS 5.1.1 (JB'ed) with 3G connection, HP (or other brands) printer with AirPrint, iCloud's Documents and may be write some launchd scripts to monitor any new documents in iCloud. May be with other software. I am not sure yet. By using the cloud, I can upload new docs to the cloud anywhere in my city, and the iOS will be able to see them within a reasonable amount of time, then print it. But it seems this combo is not workable. Anyone got any advice on how to make this set up work, or propose other alternatives that requires NO PC or Mac? Currently I have a 3GS with 3G connectivity spare. Need to buy a new printer though.

  • Nginx Tornado Combination Causing 502 Bad Gateway Errors

    We are facing a problem with inconsistent 502 errors and tracking down the reasons has been a very frustrating exercise. We can reproduce the problem by sending several simultaneous requests quickly. The problem is that several is only in the range of 10 to 20 within a 5 seconds (not a typo). So clearly this type of load should be handled easily. We really like the Nginx + Tornado approach but are considering going to a more traditional (e.g. threading) approach because this problem has been very difficult to solve. I was wondering if you a) know how to fix this issue and b) how we can tracked down the culprit(s). The log files simply identify there being a connection refused. We have the same problem as this post: How do I debug a HTTP 502 error? But there is no answer provided on how to solve the problem so I'm hoping you can help because this may be a common issue with this type of setup. Thanks in advance, Paul

  • Using Windows as a gateway to the internet

    My customer currently blocks outbound RDP and SSH, which means that none of their employees can get access to external Windows and Linux boxes (at the console level). However, a need has recently arisen to give access to an assortment of RDP and SSH endpoints scattered throughout the internet. The endpoint IP addresses are a moving target, and an access list exists to define what those IP addresses are. So now my customer wants to have a single Windows Server that they control as the sole outbound point for RDP/SSH to the internet. Consider it a jump box to the internet. If one of our admins have an access to this Windows box then they can log on, and from there bounce around to RDP/SSH endpoints on the internet. Is a standard Windows 2008 box going to work as a jump box? For example, I seem to recall that Win2k8 limits the number of users that can log on simultaneously, which means that the jump box may not be accessible if lots of users are on it. Advice as to how to make this work..?

    We have 3 PCs, two of it are connected to internet (both of it have 2 NIC) PC1: eth0 - 1.0.0.1 (external IP) eth1 - 172.16.0.1 (internal IP) PC2: eth0 - 1.0.0.2 (external IP) eth1 - 172.16.0.2 (internal IP) PC3: eth0 - 172.16.0.3 (internal IP) Now we want to map port 80 from PC1 and PC2 to PC3. But there is the problem: iptables port forwarding works well from PC1 or PC2, but only in case if PC3 have PC1 or PC2 as gateway. So, question is: can we have port mapping from both PC1 and PC2 regardless of gateway settings on PC3? Thank you in advance.

    I have setup OpenVPN on my server, and I am able to connect to it just fine, and browse the web, etc, from the client box. If I set the following option in the client config, I can no longer browse the web via domain name: redirect-gateway def1 On the server, I have run the following command: iptables -t nat -s 10.8.0.0/24 -A POSTROUTING -j SNAT --to myserver'sIP but that hasn't changed anything. Can anyone help suggest something?

    Hi, I have built an information portal in PHP [Something like a recipe book], where the first few recipes are free to access. The advanced recipes are available only to paid members. I intend to use a simple subscribe now paypal button. When the user clicks on this button, he is directed to paypal website and upon payment redirected to my site. How do I collect the payment information from paypal? I do not want to use a wsdl. I need the information to update my user level field [0 for registered users, 1 for paid users] in the users table.   • PayPal testing without using Sandbox

    I am developing a website in PHP that accepts PayPal payments. It uses the IPN from PayPal and has a custom payment template etc etc. It all works great through the Sandbox server but when it comes to showing my client, I don't want to have to tell them to login to/create a Sandbox account, create a buyer account and make a payment - he hasn't got time for that and probably won't be able to do it. Therefore, my question is - is there any simple way that I can show my client the PayPal integration in "test mode" without him using the sandbox? I realise that I can set the transaction value to 0.01 and just test on the live PayPal server but that isn't an ideal solution. Cheers! Edit: Just to better explain what I mean, this is what my client sees when he first goes to checkout; As you can see, he has to login to his Sandbox account before then purchasing the item using the buyer email that he sets up. It's just confusing and totally non user-friendly.

    Hello. I'd like to build a web service similar to kickstarter that allows users to pledge money to an idea, tho I'm unsure how I can implement this kind of payment system. If the the idea receives a specified amount of money, then the donors are charged. If it doesn't, the donors are not charged. I've done some preliminary research and have found Amazon Payments to be a possible solution provider for this, but I'm still unsure where to start with this and was hoping someone could point me in some right directions for how I can go about implementing this kind of payment structure in my web site. I should also note that this is primarily a prototype I'm building, so it's ok if the solution is limited to U.S. customers only. Also, I plan to build the site using Ruby on Rails.   • Sophos UTM in Hyper-V

    So, I had a previous thread about this Virtualizing Firewalls/UTM. Essentially, I have configured what I think would work, but networking isn't my strong point! Two Virtual Adapters - with IP addresses 192.168.0.2 (External) and 192.168.0.3 (Internal) respectively. The External Adapater looks at 192.168.0.1 (my Zyxel) for it's default gateway. The Internal Adapter, 192.168.0.3, which is what the Sophos UTM listens on, has it's default gateway set to 192.168.0.2, the IP of the External Lan interface. So, PC (192.168.0.11, DHCP) --> (LAN) --> Switch --> 192.168.0.3 (Internal LAN Interface IP) --> Sophos UTM --> 192.168.0.2 (External LAN Interface IP) --> 192.168.0.1 --> Internet Would this be the correct setup, or am I completely out of the game here?     I just set up an new DirectAdmin, and I want to prepare it for IPv6 use. My ISP have gave me an range of IPv6 addresses that I can use. Lets say that address is 2a01:7c8:**:1f::. My neworkadapter user DHCP to resolves its IP-addresses. When i type ifoncig eth0 I get the following result: eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 52:**:**:**:ce:f3 inet addr:37.**.**.44 Bcast:37.**.**.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: 2a01:7c8:****:1f::/64 Scope:Global inet6 addr: fe80::5054:ff:fe87:cef3/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:38941 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:29439 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:3779534 (3.6 MiB) TX bytes:5089379 (4.8 MiB) As you can see, I have an IPv6 address set, but I can't ping6 an IPv6 host. I get the error: connect: Network is unreachable. I decided that I needed an gateway, so I tryed to add one: ip -6 route add default via 2a01:7c8:****::1 dev eth0 (2a01:7c8:**::1 is the gateway of my ISP). But it trows an error: RTNETLINK answers: No route to host. Does somebody know what to do, and how to solve this issue? Thanks a lot!

  • During Vista Repair - No operating system is listed.

    After a Windows update, my brother's Gateway computer loads to the "Step 3 of 3: 0%" and reboots. Safe Mode does not work. I placed a Vista DVD in the drive, and re-booted. (Note, this is my Vista DVD, not the Recovery/System disc that would come with a computer. Gateway does not give you CD's anymore. I believe they store recovery on a partition, but that partition has been wiped out). I chose "Repair Your Computer" I get a dialog box, but no operating system is listed. I'm then prompted to "Load Drivers". What drivers am I supposed to be loading here and where from? I placed a CD in the drive to "load drivers" but I don't see my DVD drive listed. All I saw where X:/Sources along with several Removable Media slots that were empty. On another screen I tried Startup Repair, which didn't do anything. I attempted to use System Restore - but it doesn't detect the hard drive. I'm guessing that I'm missing some sort of SATA driver and that is why the hard disk is not being found. Any ideas on this?

  • Multiple IP's using one NIC connectivity problem - Windows

    I have a frame relay network that is directly connected to a GPRS network. I also have a ADSL high speed network and recently I have been trying to achieve the following network configuration using windows 7 (Also tried XP) with no success to date. On one server I have two NIC's NIC1 I would like the following two static IP address's 10.0.1.110 and 10.0.1.200 the cisco router has a default gateway of 10.0.1.1 the ADSL is DHCP. NIC1 and the cisco router do not have access to the internet. NIC2 is setup for DHCP with a primary DNS and secondary DNS configured to enable internet connectivity. With NIC1 all incoming TCP connections are from IP address's starting with 10.192.x.x I cannot establish a TCP connection to both 10.0.1.110 and 10.0.1.200. Its either one or the other. I have a static route implemented in windows of: route -p 10.192.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0 10.0.1.1 metric 1 I have tried leaving out the gateway in the NIC1 and many other combinations with no success. Can anyone please help? What am I doing wrong?

    I've had a look around google and this forum but could not find an answer to my question. So probably one of you can help me a little. My intended setup is: Router R1: wan connection to isp. connected backup server. provides some wireless SSID. other connected devices like printer, laptop, etc. both wired and wireless. Router R2: no wan connection to isp but connected to R2. connects mp3-streamer and music server. also serves as a wireless access point with same SSID. other than described connections only wireless connections. I would like to be able to control music even if R1 is off, e.g. with no internet connection. On the other hand I would like to access internet also in the case that R2 is off, i.e. no music access. Last but not least I would like to stream internet radio, i.e., R1 and R2 are on, and music is streamed from internet to R1 to R2 to streamer. I would like to realize all this using DHCP (also using static assignments) so i do not have to configure statically on android, laptop, etc. So my questions are: Can I make DHCP provide a list of two default gateways R1,R2? In order to make clients fallback to other gateway if currently assigned gateway is turned off? Thanks in advance, u_b
