  • How can I extract a URL from a sentence that is in a NSString?

    What I'm trying to accomplish is as follows. I have a NSString with a sentence that has a URL within the sentience. I'm needing to be able to grab the URL that is presented within any sentence that is within a NSString so for example: Let's say I had this NSString NSString *someString = @"This is a sample of a http://abc.com/efg.php?EFAei687e3EsA sentence with a URL within it."; I need to be able to extract http://abc.com/efg.php?EFAei687e3EsA from within that NSString. This NSString isn't static and will be changing structure and the url will not necessarily be in the same spot of the sentence. I've tried to look into the three20 code but it makes no sense to me. How else can this be done? Thanks for help.

  • Wordpress auto-generated "canonical" links - how to add a custom URL parameter?

    Hello - Does anyone know how to modify the Wordpress canonical links to add a custom URL parameter? I have a Wordpress site with a page that queries a separate (non-Wordpress) database. I passed the URL parameter "pubID" to display individual books and it is working OK. Example: http://www.uglyducklingpresse.org/catalog/browse/item/?pubID=63 But the individual book pages are not showing up properly in Google - the ?pubID parameter is stripped out. I think maybe this is because all the item pages have the same auto-generated "canonical" URL link tag in the source - one with the "pubID" parameter stripped out. Example: link rel='canonical' href='http://www.uglyducklingpresse.org/catalog/browse/item/' Is there a way to perhaps edit .htaccess to add a custom URL parameter to Wordpress, so that the parameter is not stripped out by permalinks and the "canonical" links? Or maybe there's another solution ... Thank you for any ideas!

  • How to run node.js app on port 80? Are processes blocking my port?

    I believe the port 80 on my remote instance is blocked, and I am trying to run a node.js app using port 80. I have experimented with ports 3000 and 3002, and both ports are working fine, but I get an error when running on port 80. I suspect port 80 is blocked from my output of netstat -an below, but how can I find the process id's of the addresses that are blocking port 80 below?   • Retrieve a list of the most popular GET param variations for a given URL?

    I'm working on building intelligence around link propagation, and because I need to deal with many short URL services where a reverse-lookup from an exact URL address is required, I need to be able to resolve multiple approximate versions of the same URL. An example would be a URL like http://www.example.com?ref=affil&hl=en&ct=0 Of course, changing GET params in certain circumstances can refer to a completely different page, especially if the GET params in question refer to a profile or content ID. But a quick parse of the page would quickly determine how similar the pages were to each other. Using a bit of machine learning, it could quickly become clear which GET params don't effect the content of the pages returned for a given site. I'm assuming a service to send a URL and get a list of very similar URLs could only be offered by the likes of Google or Yahoo (or Twitter), but they don't seem to offer this feature, and I haven't found any other services that do. If you know of any services that do cluster together groups of almost identical URLs in the aforementioned way, please let me know. My bounty is a hug.

I want to change the hyperlink URL to the above one. Please suggest as how to proceed with that.

  • KB2667402 update fails to install with 0x80004005. Yet it's also showing as installed

    I've got 15 Windows 2008 R2 x64 servers that I manage with SCCM2012. I've noticed during my Windows updates reporting that there's two boxes that are showing as 'error' for total updates installed. Digging around, it looks like the update that is failing to install is KB2667402. The Software Centre on the server itself shows the following: The software change returned error code 0x80004005(-2147467259). So SCCM thinks it hasn't installed the update. However, if I go to the Programs and Features application and select 'Windows Updates', I can see an entry for KB2667402: If I try and uninstall this, I get an error: An error occurred. Not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled If I try and download the patch from Microsoft directly, I get the same error installing as displayed in Software Centre. The only odd thing about this setup that I can think would affect this is that I run the RDP service on a non-standard port. However, I do this across all the servers, so it seems odd that it would fail on just 2 out of 15. Now I need them to convert to domain specific complete URL. No ../ or ../../ like thing in the URL. I want URLs like http://www.example.com/Default.aspx http://www.example.com/Manage/Page.aspx http://www.example.com/Manage/Account/Default.aspx Currently I am doing this following way (assuming I have HttpRequest object) Request.Url.Host + path.Substring(1); Is there a more simplest way to achieve this..?

    Hello - Does anyone know how to modify the Wordpress canonical links to add a custom URL parameter? I have a Wordpress site with a page that queries a separate (non-Wordpress) database. I passed the URL parameter "pubID" to display individual books and it is working OK. Example: http://www.uglyducklingpresse.org/catalog/browse/item/?pubID=63 But the individual books are not showing up properly in Google - the ?pubID parameter is stripped out. I think maybe this is because all the item pages have the same auto-generated "canonical" URL link tag in the source - one with the "pubID" parameter stripped out. Example: link rel='canonical' href='http://www.uglyducklingpresse.org/catalog/browse/item/' Is there a way to perhaps edit .htaccess to add a custom URL parameter to Wordpress, so that the parameter is not stripped out by permalinks and the "canonical" links? Or maybe there's another solution ... Thank you for any ideas!

The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters." This error occurs when my URL length = 225 chars. Surly I can have much longer URL's without this problem and doesn’t this relate to file paths rather than URL's ? Im sure some of you MVC guys have experienced this ;) is there a way round it ?? where am i going wrong ?? thank you for your time Truegilly

  • In Drupal, can you control block display according to e.g. number of URL parts?

    I'm having a little trouble controlling page-specific block display in Drupal... My URL's will be of this typical structure: http://www.mysite.co.uk/section-name/sub-page/sub-sub-page The 'section-name' will effectively be fixed, but there will be many sub-pages (far too many to explicitly reference). I need to somehow control block display as follows: One block will show on all pages where URL contains 'section-name/sub-page' but not on pages 'section-name/sub-page/sub-sub-page' Conversely, another block will show on all pages where URL contains 'section-name/sub-page/sub-sub-page' but not on pages 'section-name/sub-page' My only idea is to do a bit of PHP that looks for the string 'section-name' and then also counts URL parts (or even the number of slashes). Not sure how to implement that though :) Your help would be appreciated!

  • Using PHP to grab the absolute URL of the script?

    Basically, I want my script to output its absolute URL, but I don't want to statically program it into the script. For example, if my current URL is http://example.com/script.php I want to be able to store it as a variable, or echo it. i.e. $url = http://example.com/script.php; But if I move the script to a different server/domain, I want it to automatically adjust to that, i.e. $url = http://example2.com/newscript.php; But I have no idea how to go about doing this. Any ideas?
