• Symfony - Custom under maintenance page

  Hi there! I'm trying to add a custom page to my web application for the times I'm performing maintenance. I'm trying to test the referred page on my development environment but always appear the symfony page. • How to do case-insensitive order in Rails with postgresql

  I am in the process of switching my development environment from sqlite3 to postgresql 8.4 and have one last hurdle. In my original I had the following line in a helper method; result = Users.find(:all, :order => "name collate NOCASE") which provided a very nice case-insensitive search. I can't replicate this for postgresql. Should be easy - any ideas? Thanks.

• NHibernate & WCF in version 3.0

  Hi everyone :D I've just started a new project which requires a WCF service to handle a distributed environment. I'm still trying to find the best way to implement things. I want to use NHibernate, but I've seen a few different ways to address the serialization. Is this handled in 3.0?   In our developer environment, no users have administration rights. As such, it's not possible to install MSBuild.CommunityTasks without getting admin to do so. What I'm wondering is similar to NAnt, i.e. is it possible to include the files in your solution directory, and just reference it from there? This way, will not matter if the person has it installed, when they checkout latest code, the msbuild community files will come with, and solution will build. \SolutionDir\{solution}.sln \SolutionDir\Project\{files} \SolutionDir\MSBuild.Community\files

Awesomest would be to have eclipse just do it, but since we're really just recovering from one ex-employee that thought he was too pretty for coding conventions, a less-friendly tool that would do it right just once would suffice.

• Can the Microsoft Paint Edit Colors Dialog be supplemented?

  I have written a WinForms application that presents a color picker, limited to the known colors. My environment is Visual Studio C# Express 2008, C#, and Framework 2.0. Currently the MS Paint Colors menu item only presents an Edit Colors dialog. I would like to supplement that by causing the Colors menu item to display both "Edit Colors" and "Edit Known Colors". Can I accomplish this? If so, please provide a citation (or code if preferrred).
