  • JQuery templating engines

    I am looking for a template engine to use client side. I have been trying a few like jsRepeater and jQuery Templates. While they seem to work OK in FireFox they all seem to break down in IE7 when it comes down to rendering HTML tables. I also took a look at MicrosoftAjaxTemplates.js (from http://www.codeplex.com/aspnet/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=16766) but turns out that has the same problem. Any advice on other templating engines to use?

  • Alternate three and three rows in a table with jQuery

    I want to set the alternate background color for rows in a table - but the twist is that I don't want every other row to be colored, I want to treat them in blocks of three rows. So for a table with eight rows I want the first three to be white, then the next three to have a background color, and the last two are back to white again. How can I do this using jQuery?

    I am using jquery table sorter and have two tables. Instead of sorting the data just in the first table, could there be a way to combine the data in the second table and sort both?   • jquery - detect if selector returns null

    What is the best way to detect if a jQuery-selector returns an empty object. If you do: alert($('#notAnElement')); you get [object Object], so the way I do it now is: alert($('#notAnElement').get(0)); which will write "undefined", and so you can do a check for that. But it seems very bad. What other way is there?

I want to make the Header say 'May 2010' of datepicker as a link and when he clicks on it, it should display a small div or option to select month and year with Apply and close buttons and when he click on apply the dat picker should change with the selected month and year.     I have a jQuery AJAX call with type:'GET' like this: $.ajax({type:'GET',url:'/createUser',data:"userId=12345&userName=test"}, success:function(data){ alert('successful'); } ); In my console output is: GET:http://sample.com/createUser?userId=12345&userName=test params: userId 12345 userName test In my script i should get the value using $_GET['userId'] and $_GET['userName'] but i can't get the value passed in by ajax request using GET method.   • Include Jquery inside GreaseMonkey script under Google Chrome

    As maybe some of you know google chrome has put some severe limitation on greasemonkey scripts. Chromium does not support @require, @resource, unsafeWindow, GM_registerMenuCommand, GM_setValue, or GM_getValue. And without require, I can't find a way to include jquery library in Greasemonkey script under google chrome. Does anybody have some advice for the matter? Thanks in advance.
