    I have a series of value that include the empty string levels(mydata$phone_partner_products) "" "dont_know" "maybe_interesting" "not_interesting" "very_interesting" "very_not_interesting" If I make a frequencies table I get this table(mydata$phone_partner_products) dont_know maybe_interesting 3752 226 2907 not_interesting very_interesting very_not_interesting 1404 1653 1065 How can I reorder the columns in a more meaningful way? How can I rename the empty string "" level? Thank you a lot in advance.

I know one column has specified single EditingControl type, yet I think grid is flexible enough to do some tricks, I may think of only: Adding as many invisible columns to grid as required types of cells and on CellBeginEdit somehow exchange current cell with other column's cell Creating custom column and custom cell with possibility of changing EditingControl for single cell Which approach is better, is there any other solution, are there any examples ?

    Im developing an form in cakePHP where i want to set two forms next to eachother. Im creating it using this code. echo $form-input('timeback', array('options' = array('week',1,2,3,))); This creates a dropdown. Followed by this code: echo $form-end('submit'); This all works well, accept that these two forms should be next to eachother instead of below eachother. Is there a way to make this happen?     I have a simple dataframe with two columns: df <- data.frame(x = c(1,1,2,2,3), y = c(rep(1:2,2),1), target = c('a','a','a','b','a')) I would like to compare the strings in the target column (find out whether they are equal or not, i.e., TRUE or FALSE) within every level of x (same number for x). First I would like to compare lines 1 and 2, then 3 and 4 ... My problem is that I am missing some comparisons, for example, line 5 has only one case instead of two - so it should turn out to be FALSE. Variable y indicates the first and second case within x. I played around with ddply doing something like: ddply(df, .(x), summarise, ifelse(as.character(df[df$y == '1',]$target), as.character(df[df$y == '2',]$target),0,1)) which is ugly ... and does not work ... Any insights how I could achieve this comparison? Thanks

  • Remoting into two diffrent servers on the same network

    I`m trying to figure out a way to remote into both my servers on the same network. I have a 2008 r2 and a server 2003. Right now i can remote into my server 2003 but I dont know what IP to use for the 2k8 server. They seem to have the same public im. Both servers are behind a fire wall (sonic wall tz170) I rememeber having to to something on the firewall to get into the 2k3 server but forgot what I did... Can anyone give some advice thanks

  • copy an identity column into another table

    I have 2 tables that are related,both have identity columns for primary keys and i am using a vb form to insert data into them,My problem is that i cannot get the child table to get the primary key of the parent table and use this as its foreign key in my database. the data is inserted fine though no foreign key constraint is made.I am wondering if a trigger will do it and if so how. All my inserting of data is done in vb. The user wont insert any keys. all these are identity columns that are auto generated. If a trigger is my way out please illustrate with an example. If there is another way i can do this in VB itself then please advise and an example will be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance

    Hi, I keep getting this error in mysql. Here is the query: SELECT user_id FROM detalii_contor WHERE tip_contor=apa_calda i want to use this query in a php file but it doesn't give any result. so i tried to write it in the sql command prompt. here is what i tried in the php file: $Q = "SELECT id_contor, den_contor FROM detalii_contor WHERE tip_contor='".$contor."'"; $Q = "SELECT id_contor, den_contor FROM detalii_contor WHERE tip_contor='$contor'"; even without "" or without '' i wanted to get $contor from a form, i also tried with $_POST['util'] and {$_POST['util']} i've also tried to set $contor the value i need, but no result. please help. thanks, Sebastian

Why not just instantiate the object initialization within the actual constructor?

The timestamps however, are stored in a different table: Table A has column my_id Table B has columns my_id, timestamp I would want something like SELECT id, time FROM (SELECT my_id AS id FROM A) q1, (SELECT timestamp AS time FROM B WHERE my_id = id) q2 ; But how can I get the value of id within a different subquery? Is there an elegant solution for this problem?

    Hello, I am sure this has to a comon thing I just can't find it. I am making a combobox from my data source. Basically, This is a projects form and the user needs to select the the primary contact which is contrained by the customer id (GETbyCustomerID) set in another field. I have it working... mostly except the combobox only displays the contact ID which is completely useless to the user. I need to know how to display the First and Last name (both are seperate columns in the table). Any help? I am just using the designer.

    I am trying to create a windows form project, and use speech recognition for the Kinect with the Kinect to Windows SDK. I have the form application project (p1) and the Kinect speech project (p2) which is a command prompt. I made it a command prompt because it was the easiest way to do things. Anyway, I have read and found two things about this. 1)I found out how to run two projects at the same time in the same solution. 2) I also found out how to add references to get classes from each project to the other. So, how would I get variables from each project? Just by using project references, or something? P2 can recognize speech and save it to variables, if that counts for anything.
