    Hi, i have a stored procedure that has to retrieve data from multiple tables something like SELECT [AppointmentId] ,[ContactId] ,[Date] ,[BookedBy] ,[Details] ,[Status] ,[Time] ,[Type] ,[JobId] ,[AppointmentFor] ,(Select PersonFirstName from Person where Person_Id = [AppointmentFor]) As UserFirstName ,(Select PersonLastName from Person where Person_Id = [AppointmentFor]) As UserLastName ,(Select PersonFirstName from Person where Person_Id = [ContactId]) As ContactFirstName ,(Select PersonLastName from Person where Person_Id = [ContactId]) As ContactLastName FROM [dbo].[Appointments] my question is there is any other more efficient way to do this? Or is this the right approach? I am working on a Sql server 2008 Thanks

    There was an earlier thread on Java graph or chart library, where JFreeChart was found to be quite good, but, as stated in its FAQ, it's not meant for real-time rendering. Can anyone recommend a comparable library that supports real-time rendering? Just some basic xy-rendering - for instance, getting a voltage signal from data acquisition system and plotting it as it comes (time on x-axis, voltage on y-axis).

    Here's what's currently happening: Z8: 100 Z9: =((Z8*W2)+Z8) Z10: =Z9*X2+Z9 Z11: =Z10*Y2+Z10 I start with a value of 100 and then add data from W2, X2 and Y2. This works, but it spans across three cells. I need it to fit into one. I'm drawing a blank on nesting the equations to fit into the one. Help?

  • Back-to-back ajax long poll without a recursive callback function.

    I'm trying to make long poll ajax calls, back to back. The problem with the current way I'm doing it is that I make each successive call from the callback function of the previous call. Is this a problem? Firebug doesn't show any of my ajax calls as completed, even thought the data is returned and the callback is executed. The recursive structure seems inefficient. Any ideas?

  • Compatibility between Qt and Boost sockets libraries

    Hello In my work, I'm developing a Viewer client for a Offshore simulation server, using sockets to send the simulation data from the Simulator to de Viewer. But, the server uses Boost.asio as it's sockets library. As the client uses Qt for it's GUI, I was wondering if there is any problem in using de Qt Networking library for handling the sockets.   • Delphi simple TCP server hangs. The form freezes but the server continues managing the clients.

    I'm using a form with an IdTCPServer on it managing strings from the client with a AThread.connection.readln/writeln system. The string handling works and that isn't the problem. The thing is, the form with the server on it hangs and will not load, but it still managed all the clients connected to it so it IS running but it just doesn't work as a form. I'll make a guess that its sitting on a readline or something... but I have NO idea how i can fix this at this moment in time.   • Best reporting engine for WPF without a database?

    Does anyone know of a Reporting Engine for WPF? Most of the ones I could find are still for WinForms. I'm happy enough using a WinForms one in WPF with a WinForms host so long as the tool has a UserControl that can be embedded in a window. Also, I'm not using a database and all my data is in XML so the Reporting Engine needs to be able to handle that. Any suggestions?

  • ASP.NET mvc 2 Validation always shows errors on initial page load.

    I've searched around a lot, and honed this problem down to this case: I'm using the PRG pattern, pragmatically I'm using the same DTO for my post/get actions. It looks like when I have the dto with the data annotation attributes in the get action parameter list, the validation is always displaying errors, every time on initial page load. In some cases this could be desired behavior if you put asterisks in the error message, but how do I get rid of it? Thanks in advance.
