• Techniques to avoid DeadlineExceededException in GAE/J?

  I am developing an Twitter4J web application in Google App Engine/Java. I need to show two lists. One is Twitter friends and other is followers. With photo and screen name. It is working fine for people who have 20-30 followers and friends. But it gave me DeadlineExceededException when I try a user who has 150+ followers and friends. GAE throws this exception if web request take time more than 30 seconds. So what techniques I can adopt to avoid this exception. Should I generate two AJAX calls for each of my list. After page loads. So that every call will have its own 30 secs limit? Or what else you think? I am gone make it. Please help.

  I have two objects that have a ManyToMany relationship with one another through a mapping table. Though, when I try to save it, I get a stack overflow exception. • Zend_Auth / Zend_Session error and storing objects in Auth Storage

  Hi All, I have been having a bit of a problem with Zend_Auth and keep getting an error within my Acl. Within my Login Controller I setup my Zend_Auth storage as follows $auth = Zend_Auth::getInstance(); $result = $auth->authenticate($adapter); if ($result->isValid()) { $userId = $adapter->getResultRowObject(array('user_id'), null)->user_id; $user = new User_Model_User; $users = new User_Model_UserMapper; $users->find($userId, $user); $auth->getStorage()->write( $user ); } This seems to work well and I am able to use the object stored in the Zend_Auth storage within View Helpers without any problems. The problem that I seem to be having is when I try to use this within my Acl, below is a snippet from my Acl, as soon as it gets to the if($auth->hasIdentity()) { line I get the exception detailed further down. The $user->getUserLevel() is a methord within the User Model that allows me to convert the user_level_id that is stored in the database to a meaning full name. I am assuming that the auto loader sees these kind of methords and tries to load all the classes that would be required. When looking at the exception it appears to be struggling to find the class as it is stored in a module, I have the Auto Loader Name Space setup in my application.ini. • Visual Studio 2010 failed tests throw exceptions

  In VisualStudio2010 Ultimate RC I cannot figure out how to suppress {"CollectionAssert.AreEqual failed. (Element at index 0 do not match.)"} from Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UnitTesting.AssertFailedException If i Ctrl+Alt+E I get the exception dialog; however that exception doesn't seem to be in there to be suppressed. Does anyone else have any experience with this? I don't remember having to suppress these Assert fails in studio 2008 when running unit tests. My tests would fail and I could just click on the TestResults to see which tests failed instead of fighting through these dialogs. For now I guess I'll just run my tests through the command window.

complete Looks like the SATA interface tries to use 6Gbps link, then fails miserably and Linux fallbacks to 3Gbps. This is somewhat fine for me, as the system boots successfully each time and works under high load (cd linux-3.2.8; make -j16). I've also ran memtest86+ and it did not find any errors. What concerns me more is that Grub sometimes takes a long time to load the images and/or fails to load itself completely. The error is consistent and is probablistic: that is, each time I boot I have a certain chance to fail. Actually, I have a slight suspiction on the cause of the failure. Look at the cabling: What kind of engineer does it this way? Nah. Even 1Gbps Ethernet hardly tolerates cables bent over a small angle, and there you have 6Gbps SATA. How cound I determine and fix the cause of errors and/or switch the link to 3Gbps mode permanently?

• OpenID: Trying to Get Email Address from Google OP

  I’m using dotnetopenauth 3.2 to implement Openid and can’t figure out how to get Google to pass the email address in the Claims Response. I know that Google doesn’t support simple registration, but I can’t determine what they do support. Caveat to this question is that I just started learning OpenID and I know I don’t have a solid grasp on the specification which I think is leading to my confusion. Any help would be appreciated!

• SQL Server (2005) Linked Server Issue

  I have SQL Server 2005 with several linked server defined. One of them is a connection to an Oracle server and another one is an ODBC bridge to another server on a remote machine (ODBC server). Recently I tried to use the linked server to Oracle to update data with two large size tables by using several joints. The update query took too long time and finally there was exception thrown: Update O set value = l.value FROM OracleServer..schema.largesizeTable O Join localLargeSizeTable l on .... The problem is that after the exception, I realized that another linked server to ODBC was not working any more. I had to restart SQL server to get the ODBC linked server back. It looks that the linked server pool could be crashed if any of them failed(not like sandbox in Chrome for each tab and no impact on other tabs or Chrome application at all). I am not sure if my assumption is correct or not. Is this a known issue of SQL server 2005?

  I have been told to update some application from Spring 2.0.8 to Spring 2.5.5. This application is using Struts 1.2.7. Once I change the Spring.jar I get the following exception while loading in JBoss 4.0.5: 10:14:57,579 ERROR [[/PortalRRHH]] Servlet /PortalRRHH threw load() exception javax.servlet.UnavailableException: org.springframework.web.struts.DelegatingTilesRequestProcessor This is defined in the struts-config.xml this way: <controller locale="true"> <set-property property="processorClass" value="org.springframework.web.struts.DelegatingTilesRequestProcessor"/> </controller> I have no clue of what is happening since it works with the old version of Spring and the DelegatingTilesRequestProcessor is still available in Spring 2.5.5. • Stack trace in website project, when debug = false

  We have a website project. We are logging unhanded exceptions via a appdomain level exception handler. When we set debug= true in web.config, the exception log is showing the offending line numbers in the stack trace. But when we set debug = false, in web.config, log is not displaying the line numbers. We are not in a position to convert the website project in to webapplication project type at this time. Its legacy application and almost all the code is in aspx pages. We also need to leave the project in 'updatable' mode. i.e. We can't user pre-compile option. We are generating pdb files. Is there anyway to tell this kind of website projects to generate the pdb files, and show the line numbers in the stack trace?

• Hibernate constraint ConstraintViolationException. Is there an easy way to ignore duplicate entries?

  Basically I've got the below schema and I'm inserting records if they don't exists. However when it comes to inserting a duplicate it throws and error as I would expect. My question is whether there is an easy way to make Hibernate to just ignore inserts which would in effect insert duplicates? • problem burning DVD using IMAPI2 in Windows XP using c#.net..

  i have used IMAPI2 for buring CD/DVD in windows XP..but it is giving me unhandeled exception...it is written as:- System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast COM object of type 'IMAPI2.Interop.MsftFileSystemImageClass' to interface type 'IMAPI2.Interop.MsftFileSystemImage'.   I'm pottering around with Fluent NHibernate to try and get a simple app up and running. I'm running through this Fluent NHibernate Tutorial. Everything seems to be going fine and I've created the required classes etc. and it all builds, but when I run the test, I get an exception. Someone in the comments section of the tutorial has the same problem, but I can't find any good information on what's causing it. Any help appreciated. It's probably something trivial.   Hi I have a web application running in cluster mode with a load balancer. It consists in two tomcats (T1, and T2) addressing only one DB. T2 is nfs mounted to T1. This is the only dofference between both nodes. I have a java method generating some files. If the request runs on T1 there is no problem but if the request is running on node 2 I get an exception as follows: java.io.IOException: Invalid argument at java.io.FileOutputStream.close0(Native Method) at java.io.FileOutputStream.close(FileOutputStream.java:279) The corresponding code is as follows: for (int i = 0; i < dataFileList.size(); i++) { outputFileName = outputFolder + fileNameList.get(i); FileOutputStream fileOut = new FileOutputStream(outputFileName); fileOut.write(dataFileList.get(i), 0, dataFileList.get(i).length); fileOut.flush(); fileOut.close(); } The exception appears at the fileOut.close() Any hint? • jPlayer problem in Firefox - also throws error from jQuery?! Not related to OGG support.

  I've been working on a small SVG website, http://docroot.ca/ - the SVG part has been working out pretty well. In the current site, jPlayer is called and given an mp3. jPlayer functions properly in Safari, Chrome, and Opera, but not Firefox which throws the following two errors: Error: not well-formed Source File: Line: 1, Column: 191 Source Code: <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><embed name="jqjp_flash_0" id="jqjp_flash_0" src="js/Jplayer.swf" width="0" height="0" bgcolor="#ffffff" quality="high" FlashVars="id=jPlayerBox&fid=jqjp_flash_0&vol=80" allowScriptAccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></ and: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception...
