    Hi, To upload a single file, it is very simple to use this HTML script: <p> <input type="file" name="input.txt" /> In this question, my task is to select a folder and then get the input.txt inside that folder. The server will response whether input.txt is available or not and to upload it to web server. Is there any way to select a folder instead selecting a file in the input form. Thanks.

    Today, I have looked into HTML code of facebook.com, and found something like this: <input type="hidden" value="€,´,€,´,?,?,?" name="charset_test"/> It's repeated two times inside the <form>...</form>. Any idea what this code might be useful for - some kind of server-side client charset detection? As far as I know, browser charset is being transmitted in HTTP request anyway (an "Accept-Charset" header).

  • best option to create simple website mockup with navigation

I'm a developer so I know how to do this in frameworks like ASP.Net MVC and grails.     Does anyone have a no JavaScript way to make HTML checkbox still submit a value? As in if you check it the form submission will include a value A but if it is uncheck it still contains a value B?     How can I (using jquery or other) insert html at the cursor/caret position of my contenteditable div: <div contenteditable="true">Hello world</div> For example, if the cursor/caret was between "hello" and "world" and the user then clicked a button, eg "insert image", then using javascript, something like <img src=etc etc> would be inserted between "hello" and "world".     Say I have this piece of code: var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: location, title: 'B&#250;fals', map: map }); This creates a marker as expected but if I hover the mouse over it I don’t see 'Búfals' as I would expect (instead I see the html code).
