  • Accessing web Service from jQuery - cross domain

    Hi I am trying to acess a wcf service from a jQuery client Specifically this example http://www.codeproject.com/KB/aspnet/WCF_JQUERY_ASMX.aspx#4 All works well when the client webpage is on the same domain as the service As soon as I move the client webpage to another domain it breaks. It cant reach the service and the request fails This happens for all the examples, ASMX, REST and WCF any ideas how to get this working cross daomain?

  • Read and Step into .Net Framework Source Code

    I did ask whether this was possible in 2008 which was answered in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1296840/read-and-step-into-net-framework-source-code. However my problem is that I am using 2005 and not 2008. Does anyone know whether this is possible please?? The reason I want to do this is to better understand C# paradigms. With Java this is possible and I learnt a tremendous amount by being able to read code written by engineers

    how can i get the parameters of any form being submitted with method=post before it's submitted using javascript(preferably jQuery). What i am trying to do is get the post parameters and submit it to an alternate loacation. i was using $('form').submit(function(){ alert('action= '+$(this).attr("action")); alert('serialized string'+ $(this).serialize()); return false; }); but it works only with get request i want to extract the parameters from the post requests too .

  • Characters with jquery json

    Hi everyone, I'm using jquery $.getJSON to retrieve list of cities. Everything works fine, but I'm from Estonia (probably most of you don't know much about this country =D) and we are using some characters like õ, ü. ä, ö. When I pass letters like this to callback function, I keep getting empty strings. I've tried to base64 encode(server-side)-decode(jquery base64 plugin) strings (i thought it was a good idea as long as I can compress pages with php, so I don't have to worry about bandwidth), but in this way I end up with some random chinese symbols. What would be the best workaround for this problem. Thank you.

"</td><td>Invited</td></tr>"; echo json_encode( array( $html, $currentStatus ) ); Then my jquery is appending this to the table: ... success: function( result ) { var resultArray = eval( result ); $( "#myTable tr:last").append( resultArray[0] ); ... } Problem is, when it prints, it prints the following extra marks: [email protected]<\/td> View Only<\/td> Invited<\/td><\/tr>","1"] If I only echo the HTML it appends to table just fine, but I cant do that because I need the $currentStatus back too to do something with it. The problem I am running into is an order of operations question. When do I call the dataTable function so that I can be assured that the table is built AFTER the values are populated?   • Create JavaScript array of function pointer, without calling it

    I have the code below. I would like to have an array (buttons) with a single element pointing to the a function (closeFlag). <script type="text/javascript"> var closeFlag = new function() { alert('Clicked'); } var buttons = { 'OK': closeFlag } </script> However, when loading the page the alert immediately pops up. When the array is constructed, instead of using it as a pointer, JavaScript calls my function. Why? What mistake, misconception do I have?
