  • Model Fit of Binary GLM with more than 1 or 2 predictors

    - by Salmo salar
    I am trying to predict a binary GLM with multiple predictors. I can do it fine with one predictor variable however struggle when I use multiple Sample data: structure(list(attempt = structure(c(1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L), .Label = c("1", "2"), class = "factor"), searchtime = c(137, 90, 164, 32, 39, 30, 197, 308, 172, 48, 867, 117, 63, 1345, 38, 122, 226, 397, 0, 106, 259, 220, 170, 102, 46, 327, 8, 10, 23, 108, 315, 318, 70, 646, 69, 97, 117, 45, 31, 64, 125, 17, 240, 63, 549, 1651, 233, 406, 334, 168, 127, 47, 881), mean.search.flow = c(15.97766667, 14.226, 17.15724762, 14.7465, 39.579, 23.355, 110.2926923, 71.95709524, 72.73666667, 32.37466667, 50.34905172, 27.98471429, 49.244, 109.1759778, 77.71733333, 37.446875, 101.23875, 67.78534615, 21.359, 36.54257143, 34.13961111, 64.35253333, 80.98554545, 61.50857143, 48.983, 63.81072727, 26.105, 46.783, 23.0605, 33.61557143, 46.31042857, 62.37061905, 12.565, 42.31983721, 15.3982, 14.49625, 23.77425, 25.626, 74.62485714, 170.1547778, 50.67125, 48.098, 66.83644444, 76.564875, 80.63189189, 136.0573243, 136.3484, 86.68688889, 34.82169565, 70.00415385, 64.67233333, 81.72766667, 57.74522034), Pass = structure(c(1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 2L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 2L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 2L, 2L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 2L, 2L, 2L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 2L, 1L, 2L, 1L, 2L), .Label = c("0", "1"), class = "factor")), .Names = c("attempt", "searchtime", "mean.search.flow", "Pass"), class = "data.frame", row.names = c(1L, 2L, 3L, 4L, 5L, 6L, 7L, 8L, 12L, 13L, 14L, 15L, 16L, 17L, 18L, 19L, 20L, 21L, 22L, 23L, 24L, 25L, 26L, 28L, 29L, 30L, 31L, 32L, 33L, 34L, 35L, 36L, 37L, 38L, 39L, 40L, 50L, 51L, 53L, 54L, 60L, 61L, 62L, 63L, 64L, 65L, 66L, 67L, 68L, 69L, 70L, 71L, 72L)) First model with single predictor M2 <- glm(Pass ~ searchtime, data = DF3, family = binomial) summary(M2) drop1(M2, test = "Chi") Plot works fine P1 <- predict(M2, newdata = MyData, type = "link", se = TRUE) plot(x=MyData$searchtime, exp(P1$fit) / (1+exp(P1$fit)), type = "l", ylim = c(0,1), xlab = "search time", ylab = "pobability of passage") lines(MyData$searchtime, exp(P1$fit+1.96*P1$se.fit)/ (1 + exp(P1$fit + 1.96 * P1$se.fit)), lty = 2) lines(MyData$searchtime, exp(P1$fit-1.96*P1$se.fit)/ (1 + exp(P1$fit - 1.96 * P1$se.fit)), lty = 2) points(DF3$searchtime, DF3$Search.and.pass) Second model M2a <- glm(Pass ~ searchtime + mean.search.flow+ attempt, data = DF3, family = binomial) summary(M2a) drop1(M2a, test = "Chi") How do I plot this with "dummy" data? I have tried along the lines of Model.matrix and expand.grid, as you would do with glmer, but fail straight away due to the two categorical variables along with factor(attempt)

    - by Alexander
    I'm currently working on WYSIWYG editor using .net WebBrowser control and I need to implement spell checking. My question is how can I get text under mouse pointer when I right click on the misspelled word to show all spell suggestions? Tried to wrap every misspelled word in html label with javascript event, but there seems to be the problem in invoking C# code from javascript.

  • autocomplete and $.getJSON problem

    - by Dusty Roberts
    Hi There I have a script: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#PrincipleMember_IdNumber").autocomplete({ close: function(event, ui) { var member = {}; member.IDNumber = $("#PrincipleMember_IdNumber").val(); $.getJSON("<%= Url.Action("MemberLookup","Member") %>", member, function(data) { $("#PrincipleMember_Firstname").val(data.FirstName); }); } }); }); A form: <fieldset class="fieldsetSection"> <legend>Principle Member</legend> <table> <tr> <td width="150px" class="editor-label"><%=Html.LabelFor(l=>l.PrincipleMember.IdNumber)%></td> <td class="editor-field"><%= Html.AutoCompleteTextBoxFor(i => i.PrincipleMember.IdNumber, "IdNumber", "AutoComplete")%></td> <td><%=Html.ValidationMessageFor(v => v.PrincipleMember.IdNumber)%></td> </tr> <tr> <td width="150px" class="editor-label"><%=Html.LabelFor(l=>l.PrincipleMember.Firstname)%></td> <td class="editor-field"><%=Html.TextBoxFor(t => t.PrincipleMember.Firstname)%></td> <td><%=Html.ValidationMessageFor(v => v.PrincipleMember.Firstname)%></td> </tr> </table> and finally a json result action: public JsonResult MemberLookup(Member member) { member = _memberRepository.GetMember(member.IDNumber); return this.Json(member); } my json result is executed perfectly and i get a result, but for some reason this section of the script is not executing: $("#PrincipleMember_Firstname").val(data.FirstName); i've tried replacing it with an alert();, but that too is not executing. Can anyone see what i am doing wrong here?

  • Labeled fixtures for associations in Rails 3 broken

    - by elsurudo
    After upgrading to Rails 3, fixtures that refer to other labelled fixtures (for relationships) stop working. Instead of finding the actual fixture with that name, the fixture label is interpreted as a string. Example: # Dog.yml sparky: name: Sparky owner: john # Person.yml john: name: John Where Dog "belongs to" person. The error message is: SQLite3::SQLException: table dogs has no column named 'owner'

  • SQLAlchemy custom query column

    - by thrillerator
    I have a declarative table defined like this: class Transaction(Base): __tablename__ = "transactions" id = Column(Integer, primary_key=True) account_id = Column(Integer) transfer_account_id = Column(Integer) amount = Column(Numeric(12, 2)) ... The query should be: SELECT id, (CASE WHEN transfer_account_id=1 THEN -amount ELSE amount) AS amount FROM transactions WHERE account_id = 1 OR transfer_account_id = 1 My code is: query = Transaction.query.filter_by(account_id=1, transfer_account_id=1) query = query.add_column(func.case(...).label("amount") But it doesn't replace the amount column. Been trying to do this with for hours and I don't want to use raw SQL.

  • Form submits correctly in Chrome/FF, but fails altogether in IE/Safari

    - by culov
    I have a form with a css submit button. When a the submit button is clicked, i call a function that executes: document.forms["request"].onsubmit(); What should happen, then, is that the onsubmit method ought to be triggered. This works properly in Chrome/FF, but for some reason IE/Safari will bypass the onsubmit function and simply add the parameter "address=" onto the url as if it were submitting the form and ignoring the onsubmit function. Heres the code for the form: <form id="request" method="get" onsubmit="addLocation(this.address.value); return false;"> <br> <label style="position:relative;left:5px;" for="address">Enter an intersection or address: </label> <br> <br> <input style="height:35px; width:300px;position:relative;bottom:1px;left:10px;" id="address" name="address" class="required address"/> <a style="float:right;right:120px;position:relative;" class="button" onclick="submit();"> <span>Submit Request </span> </a> </form> and what follows are some relevant js functions: function addLocation(address) { if (geocoder) { geocoder.getLocations(address, function (point) { if (!point) { alert(address + " not found"); } else { if (point.Placemark[0].address != submittedString) { submittedString = point.Placemark[0].address; addRow(point.Placemark[0].address); req = "addrequest?truck=" + "coolhaus&address=" + point.Placemark[0].address; alert(req); addRequest(req); request.onreadystatechange = function () {} } } }); } } function addRequest(req) { try { request = new XMLHttpRequest(); } catch (e) { try { request = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } catch (e) { alert("XMLHttpRequest error: " + e); } } request.open("GET", req, true); request.send(null); return request; } You can test the form here: http://la.truxmap.com/request?id=grillmastersla Thanks so much!

    Hey I have a table, where i have a click event on the tr: <tr id="<%= candidate.AnsogerID %>" class="newCandidatesTableTr"> , this click event: $(".newCandidatesTableTr").click(function(e) { works just fine, but in the row i also have a click event on a td: $(".insertCandidate").live("click", (function(e) { and this conflicts eachother. I want to do one thing if the tr is clicked and other when this specific td in the tr is clicked. So how do i in my tr.click() event defined that the event shall not happend when i click the specific td? Here is the code: // Lists a table with old candidates who migth be the same person as the new candidate $(".newCandidatesTableTr").click(function(e) { alert(this.id); GetCandidateName(this.id); }); // Show insert candidate dialog $(".insertCandidate").live("click", (function(e) { var tempCanName = $(".suggentionCandidatesTableTitle").text(); var tempCanNameSub = tempCanName.substr(0, tempCanName.length - 1); var canName = $(".suggentionCandidateName_" + canID + "").text(); $("#mergeCandidateDialog").empty(); $.blockUI({ message: $("#mergeCandidateDialog").append( "<div>" + tempCanNameSub + "'s ansøgning vil blive lagt under den eksiterende ansøger " + canName + "'s data.<br /><br /> Ønsker du at fortsætte?<br /><br /></div>" + "<div id=\"content\">" + "<input type=\"button\" id=\"" + this.id + "\" class=\"insertCandidateYes\" value=\"Ja\" />" + "<input type=\"button\" id=\"insertCandidateNo\" value=\"Nej\" /></div>"), css: { cursor: 'default', fontWeight: 'normal', padding: '7px', textAlign: 'left' } }); })); <% foreach (var candidate in Model.Ansogninger) { %> <tr id="<%= candidate.AnsogerID %>" class="newCandidatesTableTr"> <td><div id="candidateID""><label title="<%= candidate.Navn %>"><%= candidate.AnsogerID %></label></div></td> <td><div id="<%= "candidateName_" + candidate.AnsogerID %>" class="candidateNameTD"><%= candidate.Navn %></div></td> <td><div id="candidateEmail"><%= candidate.Email %></div></td> <td><div id="candidateRundeName"><%= Model.RundeName %></div></td> <td id="testTD"> <div id="<%= "acceptCandidateButton_" + candidate.AnsogerID %>" class="acceptb">Godkend</div> </td> </tr> <% } %> /Thanks

From my searches on the web everything seem to be OK. Any idea?

  • Get all files from VSS for a given date?

    Is there a way I can ask Visual source safe to get all the files from a given date for a project? We don't use labels, so I can't roll back to a specific label and am hoping that I can somehow just call a certain date range to get the files as they existed on a specific date? Impossible?

    I'm trying to group down records by their priority levels, e.g. --- Priority: High --- Records... --- Priority: Medium --- Records... --- Priority: Low --- Records... Something like that, how do I do that in PHP? The while loop orders records by the priority column which has int value (high = 3, medium = 2, low = 1). e.g. WHERE priority = '1' The label: "Priority: [priority level]" has to be set above the grouped records regarding their level

  • IS there a simple way to remove Alt-Character shortcuts at runtime

    - by Dan Neely
    I have a dialog with a number of Alt-Letter shortcuts on labels for textboxes/etc. This dialog can present data in either an editable or a read-only mode. I've received a request to hide the underlines for the shortcuts if the dialog is in read only mode. Other than editing the label text at runtime (ugh) is there any way to remove them? If you don't know what I'm referring to by alt-Letter shortcuts see this question.

  • NfcAdapter.getDefaultAdapter(this) returns null in emulator

    I am trying to test ForegroundDispatch (http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/ApiDemos/src/com/example/android/apis/nfc/ForegroundDispatch.html) in emulator API 10 (Android 2.3.3). When i call NfcAdapter.getDefaultAdapter(this), i get null. Why is this so? Code: public class ForegroundDispatch extends Activity { private NfcAdapter mAdapter; private PendingIntent mPendingIntent; private IntentFilter[] mFilters; private String[][] mTechLists; private TextView mText; private int mCount = 0; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedState) { super.onCreate(savedState); setContentView(R.layout.foreground_dispatch); mText = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.text); mText.setText("Scan a tag"); mAdapter = NfcAdapter.getDefaultAdapter(this); // Create a generic PendingIntent that will be deliver to this activity. • IDs necessary in update script not being stored (or even seen!?) (PHP MySQL)

    - by Derek
    Hi guys, I really need help with this one...have spent 3 hours trying to figure it out... Basically, I have 3 tables necessary for this function to work (the query and PHP)... Authors, Books and Users. An author can have many books, and a user can have many books - that's it. When the admin user selects to update a book, they are presented with a form, displaying the current data within the fields, very straight forward... However there is one tricky part, the admin user can change the author for a book (incase they make a mistake) and also change the user for which the book is associated with. When I select to update the single book information I am not getting any values what so ever for author_id or user_id. Meaning that when the user updates the book info, the associations with the user and author is being scrapped altogether (when before there was an association)... I cannot see why this is happening because I can clearly see the IDs for the users and authors for my option values (this is because they are in select dropdowns). Here is what my sql to retrieve the user ID is: SELECT user_id, name FROM users and then i have my select options which brings up all the users in the system: <label>This book belongs to:</label> <select name="name" id="name"> <option value="<?php echo $row['user_id']?>" SELECTED><?php echo $row['name']?> - Current</option> <?php while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { ?> <option value="<?php echo $row['user_id']; if (isset($_POST['user_id']));?>"><?php echo $row['name']?></option> <?php } ?> In the presented HTML form, I can select the users (by name) and within the source code I can see the IDs (for the value) matching against the names of the users. Finally, in my script that performs the update, I have this: $book_id = $_POST['book_id']; $bookname = $_POST['bookname']; $booklevel = $_POST['booklevel']; $author_id = $_POST['author_id']; $user_id = $_POST['user_id']; $sql = "UPDATE books SET bookname= '".$bookname."', booklevel= '".$booklevel."', author_id='".$author_id."', user_id= '".$user_id."' WHERE book_id = ".$book_id; The result of this query returns no value for either author_id or user_id... Obviously in this question I have given the information for the user stuff (with the HTML being displayed) but im guessing that I have the same problem with authors aswell... How can I get these ID's passed to the script so that the change can be acknowledge!! :(

  • Form value not passed to Seam bean after a4j reRender

    - by Casper
    I'm making a webapp in Seam but ran into a problem I can't seem to fix. I have a JSF form where the customer can select a reservation type through a combobox. Based on the selected value, other form components gets rendered. For example: the customer selects Hours as reservation type, a panelGroup gets rendered where the customer can select a start- and an end hour. But if the customer would select 'part of the day' as reservation type, a selectOneMenu gets rendered where the customer can select a part of the day (morning, afternoon, evening) The rerendering well but the values of the components with a rendered conditional won't get passed to the bean. They stay null values. This is the code i'm talking about: <h:panelGrid columns="2"> <h:outputText value="Reservation Type" /> <h:selectOneMenu value="#{selectedPeriodPart}"> <s:selectItems value="#{productManager.getAvailableDayPartsSpot()}" var="daypart" label="#{daypart.label}"></s:selectItems> <s:convertEnum /> <a4j:support ajaxSingle="true" event="onchange" action="#" reRender="spot"></a4j:support> </h:selectOneMenu> <h:outputText id="date_spot" value="Date" /> <a4j:outputPanel id="calendar_spot" layout="block"> <rich:calendar value="#{reservation.reservationPeriod.startDate}" locale="en" cellWidth="24px" cellHeight="22px" style="width:200px" /> </a4j:outputPanel> <h:outputText rendered="#{selectedPeriodPart eq 'DAY_PART'}" value="Daypart" /> <h:selectOneMenu value="#{selectedDaypart}" rendered="#{selectedPeriodPart eq 'DAY_PART'}"> <f:selectItem id="si_morning" itemLabel="Morning (6:00 - 12:00)" itemValue="morning" /> <f:selectItem id="si_afternoon" itemLabel="Afternoon (12:00 - 18:00)" itemValue="afternoon" /> <f:selectItem id="si_evening" itemLabel="Evening (18:00 - 00:00)" itemValue="evening" /> </h:selectOneMenu> <h:outputText rendered="#{selectedPeriodPart eq 'HOURS'}" value="Hours" /> <h:panelGroup id="hours_spot" rendered="#{selectedPeriodPart eq 'HOURS'}"> <ui:include src="/includes/reservation/select_hours.xhtml" /> </h:panelGroup> </h:panelGrid> </s:div></code> Note: The calendar value do get passed back to the bean but the value of this piece of code doesn't (it does if you remove the rendered conditional):

  • jquery ui autocomplete does't close options menu if there is no focus when ajax returns

    - by Uri
    I'm using jquery ui autocomplete widget with ajax, and on noticed the following problem. Background: In order for the user to be able to focus on the autocomplete and get the options without typing anything, I use the focus event: autoComp.focus(function() { $(this).autocomplete("search", "");} However this produces the following effect: when the user clicks, an ajax request is being sent. While waiting for the response, the user then clicks elsewhere and the autocomplete is blurred. But as soon as the response returns, the options menu pops out, even though the autocomplete has no focus. In order to make it go away the user has to click once inside, and again outside the autocomplete, which is a bit annoying. any ideas how I prevent this? EDIT: I solved this in a very ugly way by building another mediator function that knows the element's ID, and this function calls the ajax function with the ID, which on success check the focus of the element, and returns null if it's not focused. It's pretty ugly and I'm still looking for alternatives. EDIT#2: Tried to do as Wlliam suggested, still doesn't work.. the xhr is undefined when blurring. Some kind of a problem with the this keyword, maybe it has different meanings if I write the getTags function outside of the autocomplete? this.autocomplete = $('.tab#'+this.id+' #tags').autocomplete({ minLength: 0, autoFocus: true, source: getTags, select: function(e, obj) { tab_id = $(this).parents('.tab').attr('id'); tabs[tab_id].addTag(obj.item.label, obj.item.id, false); $(this).blur(); // This is done so that the options menu won't pop up again. return false; // This is done so that the value will not stay in the input box after selection. }, open: function() {}, close: function() {} }); $('.tab#'+this.id+' #tags').focus(function() { $(this).autocomplete("search", ""); }); $('.tab#'+this.id+' #tags').blur(function() { console.log('blurring'); var xhr = $(this).data('xhr'); // This comes out undefined... :( if (xhr) { xhr.abort(); }; $(this).removeClass('ui-autocomplete-loading'); }); and this is the getTags function copied to the source keyword: function getTags(request, response) { console.log('Getting tags.'); $(this).data('xhr', $.ajax({ url: '/rpc', dataType: 'json', data: { action: 'GetLabels', arg0: JSON.stringify(request.term) }, success: function(data) { console.log('Tags arrived:'); tags = []; for (i in data) { a = {} a.id = data[i]['key']; a.label = data[i]['name']; tags.push(a); } response(tags); } })); console.log($(this).data('xhr')); }

  • How to use an UpdatePanel inside a Reapeater ItemTemplate with a HTML Table

    - by vanslly
    I want to allow the user to edit by data by row, so only need content updated by row. I managed to achieve this by using a Repeater with a UpdatePanel in the ItemTemplate. Using a div <asp:ScriptManager ID="ctlScriptManager" runat="server" /> <asp:Repeater ID="ctlMyRepeater" runat="server"> <ItemTemplate> <div> <asp:UpdatePanel ID="ctlUpdatePanel" runat="server"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:Label ID="lblName" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("Name") %>' /> <asp:LinkButton ID="btnRename" runat="server" CommandArgument='<%# Eval("ID") %>' CommandName="Rename">Rename...</asp:LinkButton> </ContentTemplate> <Triggers> <asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="btnRename" EventName="Click" /> </Triggers> </asp:UpdatePanel> </div> </ItemTemplate> </asp:Repeater> But, I want to use a table to ensure structure and spacing and CSS styling wasn't doing it for me, but when I use a table everything goes whacky. Using a Table <asp:ScriptManager ID="ctlScriptManager" runat="server" /> <table> <asp:Repeater ID="ctlMyRepeater" runat="server"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:UpdatePanel ID="ctlUpdatePanel" runat="server"> <ContentTemplate> <tr> <td> <asp:Label ID="lblName" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("Name") %>' /> </td> <td> <asp:LinkButton ID="btnRename" runat="server" CommandArgument='<%# Eval("ID") %>' CommandName="Rename">Rename...</asp:LinkButton> </td> </tr> </ContentTemplate> <Triggers> <asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="btnRename" EventName="Click" /> </Triggers> </asp:UpdatePanel> </ItemTemplate> </asp:Repeater> </table> What's the best way to solve this problem? I prefer using a table, because I really want to enfore structure without reliance on CSS. Thanks in advance.
