I have a criteria page in my asp.net application. When user clicks report button, firstly in a new page results are binded to a datagrid, then this page is exported to excel file with changing content type method.
That normally works, but when large amount of data comes, system.outofmemoryexception is thrown.
Does anyone know a way to fix this problem, or another usefull technic to do?
I'm thinking that, as flat screens get bigger and cheaper it won't be too long before 'digital wallpaper'-like screens become popular in people's living rooms with a host of applications that could take advantage of this particular screen size/resolution.
Is there a proper name for this size of screen?
'Wall Screen' - is too ambiguous
'Massive Screen' - is probably best reserved for something you'd put on the side of a sky scraper
'Small Screen' - nabbed by the mobiles
'Large Screen' - kind of means desktop
I'm thinking of the kind of screen used in 'Minority Report'.
Hi every body
I have an audit table that have data for insert, update and delete operations. I am writing a report that will display data in the order of Insert, Update and Delete. I don't think the order by clause will help. any help?
Does anyone have experience developing with ESQL/C for INFORMIX-SQL, as in calling C funcs within "Perform" screen generator and "ACE" report writer?
I have ISQL without ESQL/C. I experimented compiling a perform screen, where in the instructions section I put "ON BEGINNING CALL userfunc() END" and although I don't have
ESQL/C, the Perform screen successfully compiled without errors!.. Apparently, the compiler didn't reject the C call even though there's no ESQL/C or C program linked.
Hello everyone!
I am now writing a report about MS Access and I can't find any information about its performance speed in comparison to other alternatives such as Micorsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc... It's obvious that MS Access is going to be the slowest among the rest, but there is no solid documents confirming this other than forums threads, and I don't have the time and resources to do the research myself :(
Hoping for your help,
V.S.
There are a few related questions on SO - but have not found the answer -
I would like to generate a "signature"/bucket id to report a minidump/crash back to our issue tracking system. Since MS already does this with "bucket ids" I figured I could just re-use their bucket/signature generation.
Can I get that ID from either a top level filter or the _EXCEPTION_POINTERS object I have inside the filter or the _MINIDUMP_EXCEPTION_INFORMATION structure or from the minidump itself?
This is a C++ application.
Hello all,
While putting an image element in PDF report, how can we give the alt description or similar kind of description for that image? The idea is to read the description when some screen reader is used to read the PDF. Currently, the reader (JAWS) says just 'graphic' when encountering an image in the PDF.
Thanks!
Hi... I'm looking for an application developed in C# with following qualities, which is available as source code...
Based on OO Architecture
Must connect to DB.
Must handle atleast a "one to many master child" relationship (eg: Order and items ordered)
Should display the data using Datagrid or other similar controls.
Reports (either with report buider or otherwise)
I want to understand the layering of objects better... Do you have any links...
Thanks.
I need to provide a report of which APIs are used by our code. For a Windows DLL, I would use "dumpbin /imports" - is there an equivalent for a Java .class file?
javap seems to be the obvious place to look, but I can't find any options that seem to do what I'm after.
Thanks!
Hello, I am creating a Beta Testers reporting module so they can send in thier comments on my software, but I would like to have the option to include a screenshot with the report. How do I take a screenshot of the screen with Python on Windows? I have found several examples on Linux, but haven't had much luck on Windows.
I'm starting a new BREW project, and I'd like to compile with Warning Level 4 (/W4) to keep the application code nice and clean. The problem is that the BREW headers themselves don't compile cleanly with /W4.
In gcc you can differentiate between application and system headers by using -I and -isystem, and then by default gcc doesn't report any compilation warnings in system headers. Is there an equivalent mechanism in Visual C++?
I had recently a crash report where I could see that in the CountDownTimer's onTick method
the getView() call returns null.
I use the onTick method to display the remaining time in a textView. The textView is inside a Fragment.
Since the CountDownTimer runs in the UI thread I have no idea why this had happened.
What could be the cause for this and what is a possible workaround for this problem?
Thanks!
I am not getting this error locally in VS 2005
or when running the report through the preview
but during subscription I start getting
ReportParameterValueNotSetException
even though all my parameters especially the one it's complaining about is set
this has started happening all of a sudden and has been working great before.
Any ideas why this might have happened
I have create a report in Microsoft Reporting Service that is presented in a browser. I would like to create button that opens a textbox where the user can fill in text. This text should be saved in column in the underlying database.

Hi, I am passing a List as a JRBeanCollectionDataSource to a Subreport, I was wondering how you retrieve the integer value and display on the report. Your help is greatly appreciate.
Is there some relatively simple way to programmatically include source code lines to python logger report. For example...
import logging
def main():
something_is_not_right = True
logging.basicConfig(level=logging.DEBUG,
format=('%(filename)s: '
'%(levelname)s: '
'%(funcName)s(): '
'%(lineno)d:\t'
'%(message)s')
)
if something_is_not_right == True:
logging.debug('some way to get previous line of source code here?')
So that output would look like this.
example.py: DEBUG: main(): 14: if something_is_not_right == True:
I have an application which was written in Visual Basic 6.0 and some version of Crystal Reports (I believe with a version that came with it). I need to make a few updates to the report now. We have the .rpt file.
Is there a way with which version of Crystal Reports that this was created?
I have a problem with UpdatePanels and IE6. ( Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException )
The version of .NET is 2.0.
The strange thing is that if i open Fiddler to capture the requests, IE6 starts working ok!.. If i close Fiddler, then IE6 starts to report the problem.
The problem is that i can't see the request because when Fiddler is monitoring, the error stops appearing.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
It's been a mystery how does Cell Minute Tracker manage to fetch AT&T users data.
Maybe someone here has the long waited answer.
I'm really curious rather they got a confirmation to scrape user’s cellular report
And how they can fire up multiple requests to AT&T site without being banned?
I'm waiting for someone who could shed some light on this mystery
Thanks

I am looking to clean up the file that we store in source control (SVN) for the Magento projects we are working on.
Which files/folder are have no purpose being in SVN, ie the ones are not necessary for the site to function, or are only transient?
So far I have identified
var\cache
var\session
There are some I am unsure about:
downloader\pearlib\cache
var\report
downloader\pearlib\download
downloader\pearlib\docs
Can anyone provide a definitive list?
does BI studio come bundled with another software? i am trying to create a report server for SSRS but am not able to find BI on my computer and cannot find a place where to download.

I just got a bug report from someone running an app I wrote under Windows XP. He says it won't start up.
The application failed to initialize
properly (0xc0150002). Click on OK to
terminate the application.
It works fine at my end, (under Windows 7,) and I don't have any Win7- or Vista-specific stuff in the program, so it should work on XP too. How do I go about tracking this down and debugging it?
