• ViewStateMode Disabled but still getting ViewState element

  I have a ASP.NET 4.0 webforms site where I have the MasterPage so it is set to ViewStateMode="Disabled" along with the content placeholders being set similarly. When I'd view my page I'd still see a ViewState field rendered, I then tried adding the ViewStateMode="Disabled" to the page level also but that didn't change anything.

• iphone scrolling ticker example?

  I'm looking at adding a user comment ticker to my iPhone/iPad polling app (Show of Hands). The comments would obviously need to be pulled from a central web source - either a database or perhaps even simple flat files. The ticker would also need to support basic controls (speed, pause, etc.) Can anyone that had tried doing something like this point me to your work and/or pass along any implemetation ideas? When I inserted an image it doesnt shows in firefox and explorer. With safari, the image only shows an empty box with a question sign in the middle.   It is often said that using LDAP is a good way to store data about users. That's beacause users' "directory" is hierarchical and it changes rarely. But in my opinion that doesn't exclude using RDBMS. What might be reasons to use LDAP? I guess that storing multi-valued fields or adding custom fields in LDAP might be easier but it can be done in database too (unless you have many records)

  Hi guys, I have a database that a time filed that is stored in this format "2010.06.04. | 18:53 01". What I need is to select rows that have a specific date, for example "2010.06.04." Right now I am doing it my first selecting all rows and then looping through them and adding ones with the specified date to a new array. Maybe there is an easier way to do it and I somehow can select it using mysqli_query? Thanks!

  I'm playing around with URL schemes in my app. I easily made one to open my app, just adding the necessary items to info.plist. This current URL "myappname://" takes the user to the initial view controller, FirstTableViewController, but I was wondering if it would be possible to modify that URL scheme so it I can have one that takes the user to a certain view controller, such as ThirdTableViewController. I would use this as a handy feature in something like Launch Center.

  i have checked out files from my svn repository to a local project folder. then i add 1 file in the project folder but when i run svn commit -m "added a file" it doesnt commit anything! only when i change in the original files, not adding new ones. how comes? cause i want it to add new files to the repository. thanks!

  I have a iAd that seems to be correctly displaying but when push a new view controller into the view i get a warning from the iAd that says it has been: WARNING A banner view (0x490fd0) has an ad but may be obscured. This message is only printed once per banner view. But the ad still runs fine so should i pay attention to this?
