    Hi there! I tried running DxDiag (DirectX diagnostics), and I noticed that my graphics card is set to the onboard one that comes with the Core i5 processor (some Intel HD stuff). On my computer, I also have a dedicated graphics card (an Nvidia 310). No serious gaming stuff, I know - just for programming. However, I would still love to know how to switch to that dedicated graphics card instead. My laptop is an MSI CX720.

    We had a database crash this morning starting at 1 minute past midnight (when the database backup runs). The exception emails I was getting said "Table './core/content' is marked as crashed and should be repaired". My question is basically, can mysqldump cause tables to crash, if so how and why? It works fine, but I can't set the resolution to anything higher than 1600 x 1200, whereas my screen is 1920x1080.   • WPF & RenderTierCapability, what could cause a machine to be dropped from Tier 2 to 0?

    I'm having an issue on some imaged machines where they will started out on Tier 2 and after some time of use (they are well spec'd kiosk machines, quad-core, Nvidia 550Ti), they drop to Tier 0 and effectively become useless. Restarting the machine doesn't seem to help. This is a problem more than just "missing hardware acceleration" because my application requires D3DImage to function (which requires Tier 2).     I am using centos 5.7 with cPanel WHM running fastcgi/suEXEC I am trying to make a particular folder writable to allow a script to upload files but seem to be having problems. The folder (and all recursive folders) I want to be writable is: /home/mydomain/public_html/uploads And I want only scripts run by the user "songbanc" to be able to write to this directory. I have tried the following: chown -R songbanc /home/mydomain/public_html/uploads chmod -R 755 /home/mydomain/public_html/uploads But it still doesn't seem to work. The script will only upload files if I set the permissions manually via FTP client to 777. I assume I am misunderstanding how to set permission for users with fastcgi and hopefully someone can help me. Thanks in advance EDIT: Running getfacl on one of the scripts or folders gives the following: # file: home/mydomain/public_html/ripples/1.jpg # owner: songbanc # group: songbanc So it appears that the owner is correct? Earlier I had was 64 bit Windows vista which was working fine but now i cant install any of OS. When I try to re-install OS again same error screen pops up? how can I fix this ? I have 4GB of RAM installed does it have problems with 32 bit OS. When I install second OS I didn't reformat the entire hard disk.

    I have three 23" monitors attached to 2 cards: Geforce GT 220 (1gb) Geforce 8400 GS (512mb) My System is quad core (Q8300 @ 2.50Ghz) 6GB Ram 64-bit windows 7 professional I have 2 monitors connected to the GT 220 and they work perfectly. I have 1 monitor (was hoping to attach another one) to the 8400 The monitor atatched to the 8400 is quite slow and jerky. What can i do to improve the performance? I disabled aero theme, didn't make much difference (if any)
