    Hi, In .NET land what would be a good approach for quick prototyping of a concept (i.e. development just on my PC) that could then be extended out to product (users across LAN/WAN), BUT in a fashion that the model/business logic code and data access layer code can be used as is? One thought for example I had as to do: (a) WinForms with business logic and Entity Framework layer to SQL Server Express on my PC, then (b) Go then to ASP.net (using the business logic / data library) with SQL Server/IIS Any comments? Other suggestions?

    I have a company that would like to bring me in to serve me an hour long exam. No resources other than a pencil and paper. I really couldn't get any sort of feedback on the type of exam (implementation or generic) beside that it would test a few specific areas. Have you done anything like this? What sort of questions did they ask? What's a good way to prepare? I'll probably go in a couple weeks before school starts back up. A time sensitive exam structure is a weak point for me, so what should I absolutely focus down on? If they like the exam, that's when I'll get a face-to-face meeting.     PCMEF is an architecture style presented in the book Practical Software Engineering by Maciaszek and Liong. The layers are: P: Presentation C: Controller M: Mediator E: Entity F: Foundation. It is some kind of enchancement compared with MVC - architecture. I recommend it to interactice, data and communicating - oriented purposes. I have programmed it using Visual Prolog. Foundation in my applications is the data model (domains) for the application. PCMEF is like a simulated computer: Presentation is the display, Controller the user interface and event handling, Mediator the internal logic and data highway. Entity is the database or external interfaces and F defines the knowledge. This is a really nice small architecture. Does any other have experiance of it?

I am told to get the maximum value, average, nd within this same array, if any point in the array is twice the average, i should cout an "outlier." So far i have gotten the average and maximum numbers in the array. but i am unable to set the programme to cout the outlier.   • Why use constants in programming?

    I've just been going back over a bit of C studying using Ivor Horton's Beginning C book. I got to the bit about declaring constants which seems to get mixed up with variables in the same sentence. Just to clarify, what is the difference in specifying constants and variables in C, and really, when do you need to use a constant instead of a variable? I know folks say to use a constant when the information doesn't change during program execution but I can't really think of a time when a variable couldn't be used instead. Thanks

    I wonder whether there's a way to program a resource DLL for Windows Clusters in Delphi. I want to write a program that observes cluster state changes. Judging from the MSDN API reference, all relevant functions are located in the ClusAPI.h and ResAPI.h headers, but unfortunately it seems as if they haven't been ported yet and HeaderConv seems to fail on them.     HI All I need to write a scientific application in C++ doing a lot of computations and using a lot of memory. I have part of the job but due to high requirements in terms of resources I was thinking to start moving to OpenMPI. Before doing that I have a simple curiosity: If I understood the principle of OpenMPI is the developer that has the task of splitting the jobs over different nodes calling SEND and RECEIVE based on node available at that time. Do you know if it does exist some library or OS or whatever that has this capability letting my code reamain as it is now? Basically something that connects all computers and let share as one their memory and CPU? I am a bit confused because of the high material available on the topic. Should I look at cloud computing? or Distributed Shared Memory? Can you help me or address me a bit? Thanks

    Is there any function in Objective-C to print a list of elements as unordered HTML elements. For ex - [@"a--b-c---d" htmlList: @"--"] returns @ "ab-c-d" the "--" is the delimiter to seperate the string of elements. I have used NSSArray to store the input string and function componentsSeperatedByString:@"--" to get the elements. How do I go ahead in adding the HTML tags li and /li between elements and ul and /ul at the end of the entire list? Please help, Im a beginner in objective -C
