  • How to import text file to table with primary key as auto-increment

    I have some bulk data in a text file that I need to import into a MySQL table. The table consists of two fields .. ID (integer with auto-increment) Name (varchar) The text file is a large collection of names with one name per line ... (example) John Doe Alex Smith Bob Denver I know how to import a text file via phpMyAdmin however, as far as I understand, I need to import data that has the same number of fields as the target table. Is there a way to import the data from my text file into one field and have the ID field auto-increment automatically? Thank you in advance for any help.

  • ::LookupAccountSid API Extremely Slow When Targetting x64 Platform (Windows 7)

    During our application startup, we are making a call to ::LookupAccountSid(). When I build targetting the x86 architecture, this call is nearly instantaneous. However, when I target x64 (debug or release), the call generally takes over 40s to complete. Since this is occurring during application startup, the result is fairly unpleasant as it will appear to the user that the application is not launching. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on a Dell Studio XPS 16 (Intel Core i7 Q 720). Our application is a native Windows application written in C++. My compiler options (CCOPTS) and linker options (LINKOPTS) are as follows: CCOPTS = "/nologo /Gz /W3 /EHs /c /DWIN32 /D_MBCS /Ob1 /vmg /vmv /Zi /MD /DNDEBUG /DDV_BUILD_DLL /DIV_BUILD_DLL /DDVASSERT_EXCEPTION /Zc:wchar_t-" LINKOPTS = "/manifest:no /nologo /machine:X64 kernel32.lib user32.lib gdi32.lib winspool.lib comdlg32.lib advapi32.lib shell32.lib ole32.lib oleaut32.lib uuid.lib odbc32.lib odbccp32.lib /DEBUG /subsystem:windows /DLL" Any help would be greatly appreciated :D Thanks, --Chris

    I want to use a QComboBox with the "keys" and "values" from a tuple similar to the ones used in a django models. For example I have the following structure for a person's sex. SEX_CHOICES = (('M', 'Male'), ('F', 'Female')) The first item of the tuple contains the code of the sex that is stored in the database, and the second one the text that I want to display in the QComboBox as an item. Is there a way in wich I could set the QComboBox value as M and it displays Male. An also when the user select the element Male I could get the selected value as M. Thanks

    I have discovered through trial and error that the MATLAB engine function is not completely thread safe. Does anyone know the rules? Discovered through trial and error: On Windows, the connection to MATLAB is via COM, so the COM Apartment threading rules apply. All calls must occur in the same thread, but multiple connections can occur in multiple threads as long as each connection is isolated. From the answers below, it seems that this is not the case on UNIX, where calls can be made from multiple threads as long as the calls are made serially.

    I am looking for a way to connect to a MS Analysis Services OLAP cube, run MDX queries, and pull the results into Python. In other words, exactly what Excel does. Is there a solution in Python that would let me do that? Someone with a similar question going pointed to Django's ORM. As much as I like the framework, this is not what I am looking for. I am also not looking for a way to pull rows and aggregate them -- that's what Analysis Services is for in the first place. Ideas? Thanks.

  • Using SDK 3.2 API in Universal iPhone/iPad application

    I have a project configured (I think) to produce Universal binaries. The base SDK is set to 3.2 and the Deployment Target is set to 3.1. Target Device Family is iPhone/iPad and the architecture is armv6 armv7. I had a few questions about how this Universal binary thing really works: 1) When I want to submit an app binary for review, what configuration should I set as the build target? If I set it as "Device - 3.1" I get a warning which says "warning: building with Targeted Device Family" that includes iPad('1,2') requires building with the 3.2 or later SDK". However, if I build with SDK 3.2, will it still run on iPhones with OS 3.1? What's the right configuration for device and architecture (arm6/arm7)? 2) How do I test the scenario above (built with SDK 3.2, but installed on a device running OS 3.1)? If I build with SDK 3.2, when I try to install it on a phone with OS 3.1, I get an error saying that the phone's OS isn't updated. Thanks!

    Currently i'm having a project which requires to set placemarks and link them with polylines (i suppose), lines which have an arc to it, with properly segmented portions to the arc. I've been able to generate kml file with jak library. But i can't produce more den 1 placemark in the kml file.     Dose nHibernate play well with database level cascading deletions? What I mean is that if I have a constraint set at the RDBMS level to cascade delete all orphans, will nHibernate invoke any custom delete logic at the application level if I were to delete an entity though nHibernate? Or should I remove the cascading deletions from the RDBMS level and just use the cascading delete feature of nHibernate itself by defining that behavior though its configuration? Thanks

    While giving permissions to the 'defaultAppPool' user I am getting the message 'There is no such global user or group: DefaultAppPool.' Can anyone help me here! However, using command 'net localgroup "Performance Monitor Users" DefaultAppPool /add' I am able to resolve the error but i am facing this problem in Windows Server 2003/IIS 6.0. Here, I am always prompted as 'There is no such global user or group: DefaultAppPool.' I have also added the 'Network Service' but no avail.

  • Transportation Web App - utilizing google or bing map api

    I am working on a transportation web app and I am having a bit of a problem. First, I want to be able to define a shipping corridor, say like I-95 between Baltimore MD and Richmond VA. And store what parameters I need to define this route. Users will then use a web interface and can select various routes, in this case, I-95. Vendors will be posting constantly changing pickup locations in the application database which have a shelf life of about 2 days. Some of these locations maybe along this route. I am storing the LAT and LONG for the specific location right now. If any of these points ARE along or within 2 mile of the route (just off the highway basically - the ideal check would based on an actual highway exit but at this point anything would work), I want them to show up in my search results. Any ideas or suggestions?

    Hi All, I am using flurry in my app, and I am new to that. I have some doubts. My requirement is, In my main activity I will start a session, and calling onevent method in some activities. And I am not calling endSeesion method anywhere. I want to know when the FlurryAgent will hit the flurry site. So do I need to call endSession then where should I call that method? How FlurryAgent maintains the session. In case if I call like this FlurryAgent.onEndSession(this); FlurryAgent.onStartSession(this, Constants.FLURRY_API); FlurryAgent.setLogEnabled(true); will it work like this - previous session will be closed and new session will be started. I can track only http urls using fiddler, when I try to track https calls then its getting crashed, I have modified ssl settings in fiddler, I dont know how to configure my emulator.     I have a web application that I want to sync with Flickr. I don't want the users to have to log into Flickr so I plan to use a single login. I believe I'll need to do something like this: import flickrapi flickr = flickrapi.FlickrAPI(myKey, mySecret) (token, frob) = flickr.get_token_part_one(perms='write', my_auth_callback) flickr.get_token_part_two((token, frob,)) flickr.what_have_you(... I don't know what my_auth_callback should look like though. I suspect it will have to post my login information to flickr. Could I do the get_token_part_one step just once manually perhaps and then re-use it in get_token_part_two?
