  • Enable --hyperlink-source for "cabal install"

    - by Tener
The command cabal haddock has very useful --hyperlink-source option. I would like to have the source hyperlinked when building documentation with cabal install. The ticket #517 seems to be just about it: http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/hackage/ticket/517 However, perhaps it is possible to set this flag via ~/.cabal/config file? If not, how can I get working cabal-install build with the patch from #517 without installing Cabal-0.9, which is currently mandatory (due to one patch from December)?

  • Specifying Android project dependencies (in Eclipse)

    - by Henrik Gustafsson
I have two Android projects, a 'library project' containing a custom layout, and an 'application project' containing an application which uses the layout. Everything seems to build and execute fine, except that the visual layout editor throws a ClassNotFoundException (which I assume is a bug in the plug-in), but when I try to start to make use of the attributes I defined for the custom layout in the xml, I can no longer build. That is; this works: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <se.fnord.android.layout.PredicateLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <TextView android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="asdfasdf" /> </se.fnord.android.layout.PredicateLayout> Whereas this does not: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <se.fnord.android.layout.PredicateLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" xmlns:fnord="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/se.fnord.android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <TextView fnord:layout_horizontalSpacing="1px" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="asdfasdf" /> </se.fnord.android.layout.PredicateLayout> The build fails with a message from aapt: ERROR No resource identifier found for attribute 'layout_horizontalSpacing' in package 'se.fnord.android' The resource identifier does exist in the R-file and attrs.xml contained the library project, and if I put the layout code and resources directly in the application project everything works fine. The layout_horizontalSpacing attribute (and layout_verticalSpacing) is a custom attribute used in the PredicateLayout.LayoutParam class to specify the distance to the next widget. So far I've tried the standard eclipse ways by specifying project references and build path project dependencies. I was also told to try the tag in the application manifest, which did not help. So, what do I need to do for the references in the xml-file to work? I don't know if it's relevant, but the 'library' manifest looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" package="se.fnord.android" android:versionCode="1" android:versionName="1.0.0"> </manifest> The 'application' manifest like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" package="se.fnord.appname" android:versionCode="1" android:versionName="1.0.0"> <application android:icon="@drawable/icon" android:label="@string/app_name"> <activity android:name=".AppName" android:label="@string/app_name"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> </application> </manifest> (The 'PredicateLayout', btw, is a cleaned-up version of this).

  • MVC 2 JScript Runtime Error: FormContext is null

    - by Kenny
When loading a page in my MVC project, I am getting a JScript runtime error that origininates in the MicrosoftMvcValidation.js file saying that Sys.Mvc.FormContext is null or not an object. The page includes a standard "Add" form and a partial view that shows a list of data items. I have the references to the js files in the master page as follows. What could be causing this and how might I be able to fix it?

  • iPhone static libraries: How to hide instance variable

    - by Frenzy
I'm creating a static library to share using the following guide: http://www.amateurinmotion.com/articles/2009/02/08/creating-a-static-library-for-iphone.html In one of the functions, I return a "SomeUIView" which is a subclass of UIView and is defined in the public header, however I don't want to expose the internal instance variable of SomeUIView in the public header. I've tried using categories for a private internal header file for SomeUIView, but I keep running into "Duplicate interface declaration for class 'SomeUIView'". Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

  • mysqld crashes on any statement

    - by ??iu
I restarted my slave to change configuration settings to skip reverse hostname lookup on connecting and to enable the slow query log. I edited /etc/my.cnf making only these changes, then restarted mysqld with /etc/init.d/mysql restart All appeared to be well but when I connect to msyqld remotely or locally though it connects okay a slight problem is that mysqld crashes whenever you try to issue any kind of statement. • Objective-C Xcode: Prefix.pch question?

    - by Johannes Jensen
I have two files independant on each other. Let's just call it Class1 and Class2. In Class1, I need Class2, and in Class2 I need Class1. I have a prefix file where I include all my files, and I get some syntax errors because I do #import "Class1.h" #import "Class2.h" How would I define both of them so they can use each other? What am I doing wrong?

  • RIA Services query: Nested "from" and include children

    - by Stéphane Bebrone
Hi guys, I have the following schema. What I'd like to do is to retrieve all customers (and children properties) from a selected StaffAssignment by StaffId. So I've written the following query: from c in ObjectContext.Customers.Include("Assignments.Activities") from a in c.Assignments from sa in a.StaffAssignments where sa.StaffId == staffId select c But children properties aren't loaded (I added the [Include] in service metadata file as well). What did I do wrong? Gtz, Stéphane.

  • Enable --hyperling-source for "cabal install"

    - by user263407
The command cabal haddock has very useful --hyperlink-source option. I would like to have the source hyperlinked when building documentation with cabal install. The ticket #517 seems to be just about it: http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/hackage/ticket/517 However, perhaps it is possible to set this flag via ~/.cabal/config file? If not, how can I get working cabal-install build with the patch from #517 without installing Cabal-0.9, which is currently mandatory (due to one patch from December)?

    Hi, Is there any extra code need for using rtmp with AS3. I have the code like this. Is that enough for rtmp or any other code needed? var strSource:String = "rtmp://myserver.com/file.flv"; var ncConnection = new NetConnection(); var nsStream = new NetStream(ncConnection); nsStream.play(strSource);

  • Recommend a good db4o viewer

    - by mgroves
I'm playing around with db4o, and I have the Object Manager viewer thingy for Visual Studio. It seems okay, but not exactly on par with tools like HeidiSQL/SQL Studio/etc., not to mention that it locks the db4o file--I can't use my db4o app and Object Manager at the same time. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but regardless, I'd like to know what else is out there. What tools would you recommend for looking at and manipulating db4o files?

  • Writing custom sections into app.config

    - by Michael M.
I want to save some custom data into application configuration file and I need to create some custom sections in app.config. Reading custom data from app.config is simple task, but I can't write information from my programm into app.config. For finding solution of this problem I create test project. For reading data from custom section app.config I used information from this article: http://devlicio.us/blogs/derik_whittaker/archive/2006/11/13/app-config-and-custom-configuration-sections.aspx

  • Screen scraping over SSL with .NET

    - by Even Mien
What solutions exist for screen scraping a site over SSL for use with .NET? My use case is that I need to login to a partner website (https), navigate through a dynamic hierarchy, and download a zipped file of reports. I certainly could use other screen scrapers if there are no good viable options in .NET, either though the framework or OSS.
