  • Nested resources in namespace form_for

    - by Nelson LaQuet
    Problem The form_for helper incorrectly determines the path to my nested resource inside of a namespace. The models in question are: Forum::Thread and Forum::Reply respectively, located in a subfolder called "forum" under my models directory. This is in Rails 3 BETA 3. routes.rb namespace :forum do root :to => 'threads#index' resources :threads do resources :replies end end app/views/forum/replies/_form.html.haml ... - form_for [@thread, @reply] do |f| ... app/controllers/forum/replies_controller.rb ... def new @reply = Forum::Reply.new end ... Error undefined method `forum_thread_forum_replies_path' In reference to the line outlined above in _form.html.haml

  • Apache POI HWPF Nested Lists?

    - by Mahadevan
    Hi, I used the following code to read list structures from a word file using hwpf. My question is how to read a list structure that is nested ie a list within a list within a list and so on. if (p instanceof ListEntry) { ListEntry entry = (ListEntry) p; outText = entry.text(); outText = "<li>" + outText + "</li>"; // verifca prima e ultimo if (i > 1) { pPrev = range.getParagraph(i - 1); if (!(pPrev instanceof ListEntry)) outText = "<ul>" + outText; } if (i < nParagrafi - 1) { pNext = range.getParagraph(i + 1); if (!(pNext instanceof ListEntry)) outText = outText + "</ul>"; } if (i == nParagrafi - 1) { outText = outText + "</ul>"; }

  • xaml nested class path designer issue

    - by Vlad Bezden
    Hi, I have nested class public class Enums { public enum WindowModeEnum { Edit, New } } In my xaml I reference code: <Style.Triggers> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding WindowMode}" Value="{x:Static Types1:Enums+WindowModeEnum.Edit}"> <Setter Property="Visibility" Value="Collapsed" /> </DataTrigger> </Style.Triggers> Code compiles and runs properly, however I can't open xaml code in design window. I am getting following error: Type 'Types1:Enums+WindowModeEnum' was not found. at MS.Internal.Metadata.ExposedTypes.ValueSerializers.StaticMemberDocumentValueSerializer.ConvertToDocumentValue(ITypeMetadata type, String value, IServiceProvider documentServices) at MS.Internal.Design.DocumentModel.DocumentTrees.Markup.XamlMarkupExtensionPropertyBase.get_Value() at MS.Internal.Design.DocumentModel.DocumentTrees.DocumentPropertyWrapper.get_Value() at MS.Internal.Design.DocumentModel.DocumentTrees.InMemory.InMemoryDocumentProperty..ctor(DocumentProperty property, InMemoryDocumentItem item) at MS.Internal.Design.DocumentModel.DocumentTrees.InMemory.InMemoryDocumentItem.SetUpItem(DocumentItem item) Same error exist in VS2008, VS2010. Does anybody has any idea, how to deal with it so I can open window in design mode. Thanks a lot. Sincerely, Vlad.

  • C# Nested Repeater Accessing elements

    - by Rich
    I have a list of Accommodation objects bound to a Repeater, and then a nested Repeater which has the various attendee groups listed [e.g. Default, Seniors, Juniors]. This is all output fine, with the values displayed as LinkButtons, which when clicked gets sent to a code-behind event handler. Here is an example of the output to give you a picture [with some er... interesting attendee group names]: In the event handler, I test the object parameter to see which Repeater has been sent, as the outer repeater's links can also be clicked [so the Accommodation would be set, but no Attendee Group]. Is there a way to get a HiddenField from the outer RepeaterItem that contains the currently clicked inner repeater's LinkButton? E.g. From the image, I click the Attending link in the Women section. So the EventArgs via FindControl can get me the hidden field which contains the Attendee Group's ID, which is good, but I also need the Accommodation ID [to know whether it was either Wimbledon Hotel Inn or New Acc]

  • How to use/manipulate return value from nested boost::bind

    - by JQ
    I have two functions: 1. A & DataSource(); 2. void DataConsumer( A * ); What I want to achieve: Using one statement to assemble them into one functor. I have tried: 1. boost::function< void() func( boost::bind( DataConsumer, & boost::bind( DataSource ) ) ); certainly it didn't work, compiler says it can not convert 'boost::_bi::bind_t ' to 'A *' 2. boost::function< void() func( boost::bind( DataConsumer, boost::addressof( boost::bind( DataSource ) ) )); compiler says cannot convert parameter 1 from 'boost::_bi::bind_t' to 'A &' Question: how to use return value from the nested boost::bind ? or if you want to use boost::lambda::bind.

  • Rails 3 - Nested layouts - LocalJumpError

    - by Art Shayderov
    Hi Nested layouts do not work in Rails 3. After I hit this I tried Rails Guides Example on a blank project (both ruby 1.9.1 and 1.8.7). LocalJumpError no block given on line <%= yield :stylesheets %. If you remove this line you will get the same error on the next yield statement. Could someone fix(patch) this? It's probably just a matter of calling block_given? in the right place. That would be great. Thanks Added on 4/3: Rails 3 beta 2 released. Problem fixed.

  • Converting a flat array to a nested array

    - by matte
    Hi, I am trying to convert a flat array to a nested array depending on the 'level' data of each array item. 'level' data shows us if current array item is a child, a parent or a sibling. Here is the flat array: $sequentialArray = array( array('title'=>'Page 1', 'level'=>0), array('title'=>'Page 2', 'level'=>0), array('title'=>'Page 3', 'level'=>1), array('title'=>'Page 4', 'level'=>1), array('title'=>'Page 5', 'level'=>2), array('title'=>'Page 6', 'level'=>0), array('title'=>'Page 7', 'level'=>1), array('title'=>'Page 8', 'level'=>0) ); And here is the expected result: $nestedArray = array( array('title'=>'Page 1', 'children'=>array()), array('title'=>'Page 2', 'children'=>array( array('title'=>'Page 3', 'children'=>array()), array('title'=>'Page 4', 'children'=>array( array('title'=>'Page 5', 'children'=>array()) )), )), array('title'=>'Page 6', 'children'=>array( array('title'=>'Page 7', 'children'=>array()) )), array('title'=>'Page 8', 'children'=>array()), ); I tried using references with array indexes but that didn't work. Any ideas?

  • Algorithm for evaluating nested logical expression

    - by TravelingSalesman
    I have a logical expression that I would like to evaluate. The expression can be nested and consists of T (True) or F (False) and parenthesis. The parenthesis "(" means "logical OR". Two terms TF beside each others (or any other two combinations beside each others), should be ANDED (Logical AND). For example, the expression: ((TFT)T) = true I need an algorithm for solving this problem. I thought of converting the expression first to disjunctive or conjunctive normal form and then I can easily evaluate the expression. However, I couldn't find an algorithm that normalizes the expression. Any suggestions? Thank you. The problem statement can be found here: https://icpcarchive.ecs.baylor.edu/index.php?option=com_onlinejudge&Itemid=2&category=378&page=show_problem&problem=2967

  • Problem with nested lambda expressions.

    - by Lehto
    Hey I'm trying to do a nested lambda expression like to following: textLocalizationTable.Where( z => z.SpokenLanguage.Any( x => x.FromCulture == "en-GB") ).ToList(); but i get the error: Member access 'System.String FromCulture' of 'DomainModel.Entities.SpokenLanguage' not legal on type 'System.Data.Linq.EntitySet`1[DomainModel.Entities.SpokenLanguage]. TextLocalization has this relation to spokenlanguage: [Association(OtherKey = "LocalizationID", ThisKey = "LocalizationID", Storage = "_SpokenLanguage")] private EntitySet<SpokenLanguage> _SpokenLanguage = new EntitySet<SpokenLanguage>(); public EntitySet<SpokenLanguage> SpokenLanguage { set { _SpokenLanguage = value; } get { return _SpokenLanguage; } } Any idea what is wrong?

  • The cost of nested methods

    - by Palimondo
    In Scala one might define methods inside other methods. This limits their scope of use to inside of definition block. I use them to improve readability of code that uses several higher-order functions. In contrast to anonymous function literals, this allows me to give them meaningful names before passing them on. For example: class AggregatedPerson extends HashSet[PersonRecord] { def mostFrequentName: String = { type NameCount = (String, Int) def moreFirst(a: NameCount, b: NameCount) = a._2 > b._2 def countOccurrences(nameGroup: (String, List[PersonRecord])) = (nameGroup._1, nameGroup._2.size) iterator.toList.groupBy(_.fullName). map(countOccurrences).iterator.toList. sortWith(moreFirst).head._1 } } Is there any runtime cost because of the nested method definition I should be aware of? Does the answer differ for closures?

  • substitute in a nested list (prolog)

    - by linda
    /* substitute(X,Y,Xs,Ys) is true if the list Ys is the result of substituting Y for all occurrences of X in the list Xs. This is what I have so far: subs(_,_,[],[]). subs(X,Y,[X|L1],[Y|L2]):- subs(X,Y,L1,L2). subs(X,Y,[H|L1],[H|L2]):- X\=H, not(H=[_|_]), subs(X,Y,L1,L2). subs(X,Y,[H|_],[L2]):- X\=H, H=[_|_], subs(X,Y,H,L2). My code works except it omits the elements following the nested list. For example: ?- subs(a,b,[a,[a,c],a],Z). Z = [b, [b, c]] . What should I add to this program?

  • Nested WPF DataGrids

    - by jvberg
    I have a DataGrid (from the toolkit) and I want to nest another DataGrid in the DataGrid.RowDetailsTemplate. The trick is I want to bring back the data from one table in the main grid and then based on row selection go and get additonal detail from a different table and show it in the DataGrid in the detail template. This is easy enough to do in 2 seperate DataGrids but I am having trouble getting it to work with the nested version. Is this even possible? If so, could someone point me in the right direction. I should note I am using LinqToSql clases to populate the data. Thanks for your consideration. -Joel

For example, an expression that would locate an instance of if statements three or more layers deep with different styles (if, if/else, if/elseif/else): if (...) { <code> if (...) { <code> if (...) <code> } else if (...) { <code> } else { <code> } } else { <code> }

  • nested page-faulting of user-space address in Linux

    - by shankar
    Hi, I would like to know if it is functionally wrong to page-fault a user-space address when kernel is running fault-handler to bring in a user-page. OS is Linux 2.6.30 Assume that both user-addresses are valid ( falling within vma , rw permission ) for the task. When I check the kernel code, i find that the kernel does not mind the nested fault if the faulted-addresses are valid and the fault did not occur in atomic-context or in irq handler. (I dont think the answer is cpu-specific, but I would add that i am interested in arm and mips ). eg : The scenario can happen if I print stack-data from page-fault handler. thanks shankar

  • Knockout.js nested sortable bindings

    - by user2391998
    I am working with the knockout.js sortable plugin; however, I ran into a problem that I have so far been unable to solve. I have two sortable bindings, one for buckets and another for bucketItems. I am able to reorder bucketItems between buckets and between buckets; however, I am unable to reorder buckets. Would you have any idea why this would be? I am also using nested with bindings, but as far as I can tell, this is not what is causing problems. I would greatly appreciate any insight you have to offer. Thank you so much for your time!

  • Nested class with hidden constructor impossible in c#?

    - by luckyluke
    I' ve been doing some programming lately and faced an issue which i found weird in c#. (at least for me) public class Foo { //whatever public class FooSpecificCollection : List<Bar> { //implementation details } public FooSpecificCollection GetFoosStuff() { //return the collection } } I want the consumer of Foo to be able to obtain a reference to FooSpecificCollection, even perform some operations on it. Maybe even set it to some other property of Foo or smth like that, but not To be able to CREATE an instance of this class. (the only class that should be able to instatiate this collection should be Foo. Is my request really that far-fetched? I know that people way smarter defined c# but shouldn't there be such an option that a parent class can create a nested class instance but nobody else can't. So far I created a solution to make an abstract class, or interface available through the property and implement a concrete private class that is not available anywhere else. Is this a correct way to handle such a situation.?

  • Finding controls inside nested master pages

    - by evanmortland
    I have a master page which is nested 2 levels. It has a master page, and that master page has a master page. When I stick controls in a ContentPlaceHolder with the name "bcr" - I have to find the controls like so: Label lblName =(Label)Master.Master.FindControl("bcr").FindControl("bcr").FindControl("Conditional1").FindControl("ctl03").FindControl("lblName"); Am I totally lost? Or is this how it needs to be done? I am about to work with a MultiView, which is inside of a conditional content control. So if I want to change the view I have to get a reference to that control right? Getting that reference is going to be even nastier! Is there a better way? Thanks

  • Using jquery with nested masterpages

    - by diver-d
    Hi everyone, Can anyone show me how to use jquery in an asp.net nested masterpage. I have my main masterpage where I have added the link to the jquery libaray and also the validation framework. I have then created another masterpage with some styling and created a aspx page based on that masterpage. How can I attach the validation framework to textboxes within my page? I have tried $("#aspnetForm").validate({ rules: { <%=txtPostCode.UniqueID %>: { minlength: 2, required: true }, <%=txtContactEmail.UniqueID %>: { required: true, email:true } }, messages: { <%=txtPostCode.UniqueID %>:{ required: "* Required Field *", minlength: "* Please enter atleast 2 characters *" } } }); However nothing happens. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • Java: Non-static nested classes and instance.super()

    - by Kiv
    I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around non-static nested classes in Java. Consider the following example, which prints "Inner" and then "Child". class Outer { class Inner { Inner() { System.out.println("Inner"); } } } public class Child extends Outer.Inner { Child(Outer o) { o.super(); System.out.println("Child"); } public static void main(String args[]) { new Child(new Outer()); } } I understand that instances of Inner always have to be associated with an Outer instance, and that that applies to Child too since it extends Inner. My question is what the o.super() syntax means - why does it call the Inner constructor? I've only seen a plain super(args) used to call the superclass constructor and super.method() to call the superclass version of an overridden method, but never something of the form instance.super().

  • Cleaning up code - flatten a nested hash structure

    - by knorv
    The following Perl sub flattens a nested hash structure: sub flatten { my $hashref = shift; my %hash; my %i = %{$hashref}; foreach my $ii (keys(%i)) { my %j = %{$i{$ii}}; foreach my $jj (keys(%j)) { my %k = %{$j{$jj}}; foreach my $kk (keys(%k)) { my $value = $k{$kk}; $hash{$kk} = $value; } } } return %hash; } While the code works it is not very readable or clean. My question is two-fold: In what ways does it not correspond to modern Perl best practices? How would you clean it up?

  • Python nested dict comprehension with sets

    - by Jasie
    Can someone explain how to do nested dict comprehensions? >> l = [set([1, 2, 3]), set([4, 5, 6])] >> j = dict((a, i) for a in s for i, s in enumerate(l)) >> NameError: name 's' is not defined I would have liked: >> j >> {1:0, 2:0, 3:0, 4: 1, 5: 1, 6: 1} I just asked a previous question about a simpler dict comprehension where the parentheses in the generator function were reduced. How come the s in the leftmost comprehension is not recognized?
