  • Ctrl-M chars when transfer files SFTP

    Hi, I am sending files from a windows system to a Unix SFTP server using JSCAPE ftp client. However, I am experiencing the following issue: When uploading a text file from windows to UNiX, each line of text files transferred contains Control-M characters. I did some search and found out that If I use the "ASCII" transfer mode it should solve the issue. But the Ctrl-M is still appearing on the files. Can anyone throw some light in this issue? thanks in advance

    I have created a Django project in local which runs without any kind of problem. But, after an annoying and difficult Cherokee + uWSGI installation on Amazon AWS, my project does not show Django .css internal files. http://f.cl.ly/items/2Q2W3I3R0X1n2X3v0q2P/django_error.jpg <-- /Admin/ looks like The image is a screen of my /admin/, which should have a different style, but .css files are not loaded. I don't understand why it is looking for the .css files in that path. Cherokee should be searching the files in Django original directory so i didn't change .css files in my project. Any advice?     Ive written a cprogram that works when i pipe data into my program using stdin like gunzip -c IN.gz|./a.out If I want to run my program on a list of files I can do something like for i `cat list.txt` do gunzip -c $i |./a.out done But this will start my program 'number of files' times. I'm interested in piping all the files into the same process run. Like doing for i `cat list.txt` do gunzip -c $i >>tmp done cat tmp |./a.out thanks.

  • Puzzled with nib files...

    I know nib files are serialized objects and they have owner, outlets to make connections. Using XCode Navigation window template I created application, which in its order created 2 nib files - MainWindow and SecondView. I can't understand how MainWindow is referring to SecondView, there is no connection between those two as far as I can see. SecondView's owner is UIViewController and in MainWindow there is a navigation tab which is also UIViewController. But how they are connected in IB I can't understand... Also I don't understand who is instanciating MainWindow's owner object and where that object is being kept, where is the variable which is UIApplication myApp = [[UIApplication alloc] init]. If I create 10 nib files with UIViewController owner, who will trigger their deserialization? If some class is nib file's owner, what is the essential responsibilities of that class? Is it deserializing nib file into memory? Sorry for unorganized questions, I've been reading numerous articles and docs about nib files, but it is still confusing.

  • What do encrypted files' data look like?

    I know there are a lot of encryption programs available, that I would guess use different methods for encryption, and thus have different types of output files (.fve .tc .cha .dmg (bitlocker, truecrypt, challenger, ect.)), but if someone didn't know what the file was and just looked at the data, what would it look like? Does it just look like random bits, or can you still pick out a pattern? If it does look random, how is it if I moved the encrypted file to another computer, the other computer can tell it's a file, and is able to decrypt it (how would it even know where to start or stop, if it all looked random)? Also, how is the structure affected by encrypting files twice, using the same method, or a different one? Thanks for any help, and if you know any books or site about encryption for complete idiots, I'd appreciate it!

    I need to point the root domain of my hosting account to a subdirectory (joomla). I want this to be invisible (i.e. browser address bar doesn't change). Also, I need this to work when a user hits the root or a subfile/subfolder. I've tried the following rules, which work individually, but I can't get them to work together. This one works when no subfile/subfolder is specified: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^$ /joomla/ [L] And this one works when a subfile/subfolder IS specified: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule (.+)$ /joomla/$1 [L] I just can't figure out how to combine them.

When using Visual studio it is no problem to use files like tchar.h I have receaved a basic file structure containing those and I'm trying to get them to work on Netbeans IDE but it seems that Netbeans won't allow using files from Visual Studio. I have tried to add the tchar.h file and all other file it required (including some C++ core files) and commenting the errors written in those care files: #error ERROR: Use of C runtime library internal header file. But netbenas can't find the tchar.h file while being in same folder...

    Hello Ive a website that create avatars for users and provide them with link for avatar to use it in their website or singuters etc , my problems is the website based on flash . the main page has 1 swf file that load other swfs used to create avatars , if someone knows the link for the these swf files he can download them which means he can have all the website lets say: www.test.com as main page which load main swf and other swfs files which located at www.test.com/resources/flash/swffiles/file1.swf anyone can grap these files and have all the website which is a big security breach ive trying so many way protect these files from not download but protecting them means the main swf cant talk to them and cant load the main page correctaly , any suggestion for these .. thanks in advance

  • QT QFileDialog how to hide hidden/backup folders (".folder")

    Basically when browsing folders inside a QFileDialog I find very annoying to have everything bloated with hidden or backup folders (don't know how to call them really); specially on home. Is there a way to prevent these type of folders from showing by default on a QFileDialog? I'm using Qt4.6 and getOpenFileName. P.D.: I'm starting to think this might be an ubuntu thing...?

I believe it's caused when it tries to parse the tilde part of that string "Mísero". the directory "D:\MUSICA\La Trampa - El Mísero Espiral De Encanto" exists because I can see it and also have some files in it.   • Windows 7 Media Player won't add MP3 files

    I have a set of MP3 files that Windows Media Player just refuses to add to the library. They are placed in the standard My Music folder. I play them in media player. They just won't be listed in the library. I've tried dragging them and dropping them on the media player but they still don't appear in the library. I have an identical laptop where I've also copied the mp3 files and they appear in the library fine. Any ideas what would cause this?

    I tried to use sqlmaint.exe tool to back up a database on a remote PC. Here is an example of backup: sqlmaint.exe -S remoteSQLServer\SQLInstance -U username -P pwdxxx -D myDB -BkUpMedia DISK -BkUpDB C:\MSSQL_Backups -DelBkUps 3days ... Here I specified to delete backups older than 3 days. However, the job seems not deleting old bak files on the remote PC(where the SQL server sits). The remote PC has Windows 2008 Server. I also set the C:\MSQL_Backups as shared network drive for EnyOne as owner. My understanding is that the job will delete any bak files older than 3 days. Not sure what I missed? By the way, the job runs at a box with SQL server 2005 installed.

    I want the ability add properties and tags to a file (specifically ebook files and ebook related properties in Windows 7 but interested to go so for as many OSes as possible) For e.g. Example.txt or Example.doc or Example.epub should all store and carry properties like 'Author', 'Publication date', 'Tags' etc.. the properties should be stored with the file itself. Such that if it is transferred to another system it retains the properties (even if i need to install 'my app' to support this function on the other machine) How do I make this possible using .net (preferred) and what file system concepts should I learn to understand the underlying concepts and limitations to be able to implement this feature?     I am planning on moving my static files to Google's App Engine. I was wondering if this is a good idea to do. I have read that is it possible that Google will cache your files on multiple locations, which is a good thing in my opinion. The setup should also be quite easy in eclipse with the GAE plugins. But i still have my doubts on the performance of this. Is the setup of App Engine optimized for serving static content. Now I have Nginx server my static content, will App Engine perform the same way. Are there any other ups or downs using this method?

    We're running a Laravel application on an Amazon EC2 server with Apache installed. I've noticed on multiple occasions, that the server doesn't respond to changes in PHP files, even after restarting Apache. For example, if I edit a file that I'm accessing through a URL, and I break the syntax, I don't even get a PHP exception thrown. This is really strange, and has been sticking its head out more frequently these days. Is it possible Apache is caching the PHP files somewhere? Opcode caching perhaps?

    I have a script that runs (this works fine). I'd like to produce logfiles from its output and still show it on screen. I have this command that creates three files from this blog: ((./fk.sh 2>&1 1>&3 | tee errors.log) 3>&1 1>&2 | tee output.log) 2>&1 | tee final.log This does exactly what I want it to. My only issue is that I create files in my script and copy them somewhere, and I'd like to copy these logfiles there too, which I can't do whilst this script is running. I also wanted to make it easier for any user to run my script, so I created another script to run this script. According to this post (see last post) I can put a . before the script name and I can use variables assigned in my called script from the first script if I use them in the first. It doesn't seem to work though and I can't figure out why or find alternative methods. Can anyone help?
