  • Cannot integrate Gallio MBUnit with Team City

    - by Bernard Larouche
I have been trying to get my MBUnit tests suite to work on Team City for many days now without any success. My solution builds no problem. The program is with my tests. After googling for Gallio integration with Team City I tried many ways to make this thing work and I think I am close but need help. I have included the gallio bin directory to my repository and also on my TC Server. Here is my build runner set up in Team City : Build runner : MSBuild Build file path : Myproject.msbuild Targets : RebuildSolution RunTests Here is Myproject.msbuild file I created and included in the Source control trunk directory : <Project xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003"> <!-- This is needed by MSBuild to locate the Gallio task --> <UsingTask AssemblyFile="C:\Gallio\bin\Gallio.MSBuildTasks.dll" TaskName="Gallio" /> <!-- Specify the tests assemblies --> <ItemGroup> <TestAssemblies Include="C:\_CBL\CBL\CoderForTraders\Source\trunk\UnitTest\DomainModel.Tests\bin\Debug\CBL.CoderForTraders.DomainModel.Tests.dll" /> </ItemGroup> <Target Name="RunTests"> <Gallio IgnoreFailures="false" Assemblies="@(TestAssemblies)" RunnerExtensions="TeamCityExtension,Gallio.TeamCityIntegration"> <!-- This tells MSBuild to store the output value of the task's ExitCode property into the project's ExitCode property --> <Output TaskParameter="ExitCode" PropertyName="ExitCode"/> </Gallio> <Error Text="Tests execution failed" Condition="'$(ExitCode)' != 0" /> </Target> <Target Name="RebuildSolution"> <Message Text="Starting to Build"/> <MSBuild Projects="CoderForTraders.sln" Properties="Configuration=Debug" Targets="Rebuild" /> </Target> </Project> Here are the errors displayed by Team City : error MSB4064: The "Assemblies" parameter is not supported by the "Gallio" task. Verify the parameter exists on the task, and it is a settable public instance property error MSB4063: The "Gallio" task could not be initialized with its input parameters. Thanks for your help

  • Error compiling Visual Studio 2010 EditorClassifier Extension Template

    - by nick.ueda
I'm trying to create an Editor Classifier Template project and run it. When I attempt to build I get an error message stating: "Error trying to read the VSIX manifest file 'extension.vsixmanifest'. Exception has been thrown by target of invocation." Any thoughts? I've tried googling this but didn't have any luck. I am working with Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and the VS 2010 SDK Beta 1. Thanks, Nick

  • Implementing Custom CacheDependency to invalidate ASP.Net cache item

    - by Ajay
Hi, I want to implement my own customCacheDependency class by deriving base CacheDependency, as provided SqlCacheDependency is not suitable for my case. (thousands of cache items, and there will so many subscriptions in SQL as well as issues with registration in ASP.Net) I want to use this in ASP.Net VirtualPathProvider's our custom implementation, so I can pass this CustomCacheDependecy to notify the asp.net that file content in the DB has changed. Can some one point me to any custom implementation of CacheDependency (preferably using MessageQueue)? Thanks & Regards, Ajay

  • Problems with makeObjectsPerformSelector inside and outside a class?

    - by QuakAttak
A friend and I are creating a card game for the iPhone, and in these early days of the project, I'm developing a Deck class and a Card class to keep up with the cards. I'm wanting to test the shuffle method of the Deck class, but I am not able to show the values of the cards in the Deck class instance. The Deck class has a NSArray of Card objects that have a method called displayCard that shows the value and suit using console output(printf or NSLog). In order to show what cards are in a Deck instance all at once, I am using this, [deck makeObjectsPerformSelector:@selector(displayCard)], where deck is the NSArray in the Deck class. Inside of the Deck class, nothing is displayed on the console output. But in a test file, it works just fine. Here's the test file that creates its own NSArray: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import "card.h" int main (int argc, char** argv) { NSAutoreleasePool* pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init]; Card* two = [[Card alloc] initValue:2 withSuit:'d']; Card* three = [[Card alloc] initValue:3 withSuit:'h']; Card* four = [[Card alloc] initValue:4 withSuit:'c']; NSArray* deck = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:two, three, four, nil]; //Ok, what if we release the objects in the array before they're used? //I don't think this will work... [two release]; [three release]; [four release]; //Ok, it works... I wonder how... //Hmm... how will this work? [deck makeObjectsPerformSelector:@selector(displayCard)]; //Yay! It works fine! [pool release]; return 0; } This worked beautifully, so I created an initializer around this idea, creating 52 card objects one at a time and adding them to the NSArray using deck = [deck arrayByAddingObject:newCard]. Is the real problem with how I'm using makeObjectsPerformSelector or something before/after it?

Hi, I'm trying to use the SDL_Image library and I've added the .so to the link libraries list for my project (I'm using Code::Blocks, by the way). After doing this, when I go to compile, I get this error: Linking console executable: bin/Debug/ttfx /usr/lib32/libSDL_image-1.2.so: could not read symbols: File in wrong format What does this mean and how can I get it working? Thanks!

  • Bitwise AND, Bitwise Inclusive OR question, in Java

    - by Dave
I've a few lines of code within a project, that I can't see the value of... buffer[i] = (currentByte & 0x7F) | (currentByte & 0x80); It reads the filebuffer from a file, stored as bytes, and then transfers then to buffer[i] as shown, but I can't understand what the overall purpose is, any ideas? Thanks

  • How can one prevent MSBuild from rebuilding the entire project even when all targets are up to date?

    - by Billy ONeal
I've got a Visual Studio solution I'd like to build using the commandline. MSBuild is usable for this purpose, and I've done a simple batch file that looks like this: msbuild ..\DDSCPP.sln /p:Configuration=Release /p:Platform=Win32 msbuild ..\DDSCPP.sln /p:Configuration=Release /p:Platform=x64 Unfortunately, that causes my entire solution to be rebuilt each time the command is run, rather than only building what has changed. Am I missing something here?

  • How to make SIMPLE C++ Makefile?

    - by befall
Hi everyone, For a project, we are required to use a makefile to pull everything together, but our abhorrent professor never showed us how to. I only have ONE file, a3driver.cpp. The driver imports a class from a location "/user/cse232/Examples/example32.sequence.cpp". That's it, everything else is contained with the .cpp. How would I go about making a simple Makefile that creates an executable called "a3a.exe"?

  • Externalizing Grails Datasource configuration

    - by miek
Grails 1.x allows using external configuration files by setting the grails.config.locations directive. Is there a similar approach available for externalizing the database configuration in Datasource.groovy (without setting up JNDI)? It would prove helpful to be able to configure DB credentials in a simple configuration file outside the application. Thanks in advance!

  • Apache FOP in Visual Studio 2008

    - by Igman
I am writing some XML - PDF generating templates in Apache FOP for an asp web app. I need to use Visual Studio for my development. Visual studio has great editing and auto complete for regular XSL, I was wondering if there is any way to add this functionality for FOP tags. At least is there a way to stop it from thinking the file is hopelessly broken due to the tags? Thanks.

  • When gaming computer freezes with a blank screen and a buzzing sound

    - by The Colour Of Heartache
I have a problem with random freezes when playing games. Sometimes it's fine for hours, other times it dosn't last even one. I tried googling around and I found recomendations to update my graphics drivers and to test for overheating. The graphics drivers haven't helped worked and Furmark created a consistant heat higher than I get during a crash. I even tried running a game using the Linux dual boot and WINE, that crashed too. Here are the tempreture logs leading up to the latest crash. The GPU dosn't hit 80, and I've hit 90 with no crash on firmark. • DataAnnotations and Resources don't play nicely

    - by devlife
I'm using dataannotations in an MVC2 app and am a little discouraged when trying to use RESX file resources for error messages. I've tried the following but keep getting the exception "An attribute [Required(ErrorMessage = Resources.ErrorMessages.Required)] [Required(ErrorMessageResourceName = Resources.ErrorMessages.Required, ErrorMessageResourceType = typof(Resources.ErrorMessages)] I keep getting that error message unless I replace ErrorMessageResourceName with "Required" instead of Resources.ErrorMessages.Required. Can anyone tell me if I'm doing this right?
