• Is it possible to get the current request that is being served by node.js?

  I am using express.js. I have a need to be able to log certain request data whenever someone tries to log a message. For this I would like to create a helper method like so function log_message(level, message){ winston.log(level, req.path + "" + message); } I would then use the method like so. exports.index = function(req, res){ log_message("info", "I'm here"); } Note that I am not passing the req object to the log_message function. I want that to be transparently done so that the log_message API user does not need to be aware of the common data that is being logged. Is there a way to achieve this with express.js/node.js. Is the request object available from a global variable of some sort?

Currently both of *.txt and *.xml are printed which is what I don't want to. So, my question is how can we overwrite the item files in the second print script? Please help!

• Android Google Play Services Error whilst Connecting

  I am attempting to implement the Google Play Services into my Game to add a Leaderboard. However, whenever I try to connect, I get the following error message: I have correctly imported google-play-services_lib into my project, and AdMob is working perfectly. This error message comes up after it tries to login. The account with which I am logging in, is authorized as a Test account so that shouldn't be the issue. There are no error messages in the LogCat window either. All I got was that Error Message from the image. Project hierarchy : I am assuming that simply Extending the Activity from BaseGameActivity should handle everything for me right?

  We have an SVN setup and there are some things we dislike about it and some things we like about it. We want to move to git, but we're not sure exactly what setup will work for us. We're currently using SVN (w/ Authz) + Apache (w/ WebDAV & LDAP). Hook to update the live site [like] Live site update requires no additional interaction [like] Live site update uses stored password [dislike] Commits require centralized-password authentication [like] Commit from live site changes stored credentials [dislike] Access control (per repository) for commits [like] Point 5 above is the one that keeps stuffing us up. Someone makes a commit from the live site and then the hook breaks. We're thinking to use gitosis/gitolite to get access control, but as they use ssh keys, we won't be requiring passwords. We're also thinking to use git-http-backend, and use Apache for authentication, but then do we lose access control? Can the live site be automatically updated from a hook if Apache requires authentication? Can we combine git-http-backend and gitosis/gitolite somehow? Can we store http credentials with git?

• How to set up Git on remote instance using keys from local machine?

  I have a setup where I can ssh into my remote server (ie a Google Compute instance) from my local machine. I used to be able to clone, push, and pull from a repository on my remote instance without adding any keys to my remote instance, nor adding any new keys to my repository online (just the public key from my local machine). I believe the remote instance was using the keys from my local machine to authenticate my Git pushes and pulls. However, the system broke when I reinstalled the OS on my local machine. I have never had keys on the remote, and it would push and pull just fine until I re-installed my local OS. I can still clone, push, and pull on my local machine, it is just my remote machine that cannot get authentication. My local OS is Ubuntu 14.04 and my remote OS is Debian Wheezy. Any suggestions would be great. I am not sure how to search for this concept where I can authenticate from a remote instance via my local machine, so any reference are appreciated as well.

• Setup staging with multiple SVN

  We are a startup, setting new environments for product to be released soon. Planned server structure with planned release flow is as shown in below image It ideally have a local server (or Staging server, shown in green) in local office, without public IP address and Production Server (Red) at Amazon EC2. Both local and production server have there own SVN copy. Management here want to update production server with production SVN and without providing its access to developers (including freelancers/contract employees). So for developers, there is a Local SVN on local server. Another purpose of local SVN to keep a copy of code on local server, which is under our direct control. Although there are some technical concerns like how will code at local server will be updated from local SVN and commit on production SVN but bigger question is, is that structure correct? Major requirement remain don't provide production SVN access to developers. What are other possible options to achieve that? Another minor question, if suitable here, if above structure is correct, is it possible for a SVN checkout to get updated from one SVN (Local SVN) but commit to other (Production SVN)? • Permission problem with Git (over SSH) on FreeBSD

  We're having permission problem with Git on FreeBSD. The setup is fairly straight forward. We have a few different repos on the same server. For simplicity, let's say they reside in /git/repo1 and /git/repo2. Each repo is owned by the user 'git' and a self-titled group (eg. repo1). The repo is configured with g+rwX access. Every user who commits to the repository is also member of the group for the repo (eg. repo1). The Git repositories all have 'sharedRepository = group' set. So far so good, all users can check out the code from the repositories, and the first user can commit without any problem. However, when the next user tries to commit to the repositories, he will receive a permission error. We've been banging our heads with this issue for some time now, and the only way we've managed to resolve it is by running the following script between commits (which is obviously very inconvenient): find /git/repo1 -type d -exec chmod g+s {} \; chmod -R g+rwX /git/repo1 chown -R git:repo1 /git/repo1/ cd /git/repo1 git gc Anyone got a clue to where the problem lies?

• Is there any way to synchronize Outlook RSS Feeds with BlackBerry?

  Does anyone know how I can view the contents of my Outlook 2007 RSS Feeds from a corporate-issued BlackBerry? Our Inbox and Calendar are already integrated with corporate exchange servers but it looks like nobody cares too much about the RSS Feeds. Is there some setting on my Blackberry or in Outlook I could possibly tweak to include these updates? I know there are many standalone RSS readers available for blackberry (Google Reader for example) but I mention Outlook RSS Feeds specifically in my question because I am subscribing to a number of RSS feeds I've setup on my intranet for various version control systems that would be inaccessible to an external RSS reader. It seems like I might have to setup some sort of email commit notifications if I want anything from my blackberry but I much prefer the 'pull' method of an RSS feed viewer over receiving streams of emails. Please feel free to suggest any alternatives! Edit: I've additionally tried moving my "SVN Repository" folder directly into my Mailbox instead of keeping it as a child of the RSS Feeds folder. This allows me to view the SVN Repository folder on my blackberry where previously the RSS Feeds folder and all children were hidden but unfortunately it never seems to get populated with the items that are displaying in Outlook. I've even made a fresh commit to make sure that the SVN Repository folder still works correctly in Outlook from outside the RSS Feeds folder but no luck on the BlackBerry end of things.   I have a Centos server acting as a NAT in my network. This server has one external (later ext1) interface and three internal (later int1, int2 and int3). Egress traffic comes from users via int1 and after MASQUERADE goes via ext1. • SVN, Samba and Symbolic Links. How to get them all to play together?

  I've got a website project under version control that relies on files from an unversioned directory on the same server via Symbolic Links. I'm currently storing the symbolic links in the repository. The idea is that if someone checks out a working copy on to the same server they can edit and test the working copy of the project before committing it back to the repository. When they checkout their working copy it successfully sets up the symlinks so that the entire site works when testing. The users that work on the project are Windows users, so I've set a samba shares on the server and then mapped them to network drives in Windows. People can edit their working copies directly on the server via network shares and then test them in the web browser before committing their changes back to the repository via TortoiseSVN. The Problem The problem I have is that Samba resolves the symlinks as expected but when a user tries to commit their changes back to the repository, TortoiseSVN thinks the linked files are part of the project and tries to commit the target files to the repository and not the symlinks themselves. I tried turning off symlink support in samba which means that the linked files cannot be resolved as I don't really want people to have access to the linked files nor do I want to import the linked files in the repository. The problem with this is that I get Can't stat '\webserver\projects\working\project\symlinked_file.php'. Access is denied Apart from the symlink problem everything else works 100% perfectly. Users can either checkout website projects to their machine and work on them (but can't test) or checkout them out to their space on the dev web server and work on them and fully test. So I don't want to change the workflow process, I just need a solution to the symbolic link issue. Many thanks.   (See my previous question for additional context). I'm migrating to zsh from bash, and using oh-my-zsh. When my zsh history looks something like the following: git status git add -A git commit I want to be able to re-run git add -A. To do that, I could use !?git add, which should: !?str[?] Refer to the most recent command containing str. The trailing ‘?’ is necessary if this reference is to be followed by a modifier or followed by any text that is not to be considered part of str. The link for zsh event designators is here. Unfortunately, I can't do this - as I'm typing !?git add, as I hit the ' ', it auto-completes the command to the most recent command matching git (ie, it auto-completes with git commit). I can't use the event designator properly because of this auto-completion as I hit the space. I assume this is an oh-my-zsh feature. I have no idea where to look, though - greping for 'complet' in the oh-my-zsh source doesn't get me anywhere. My question: how do I turn off this feature? Or, if that's not something that's known, where should I be looking - if I was going to implement this auto-complete when whitespace is entered, where would be a logical place to do so in the oh-my-zsh framework?

  I've inherited a position and instructions for creating a new git repository. Unfortunately I've run into problems and no one here knows what to do. Hoping someone can help me out. Here are the instructions I was left: Create a new repository: For these steps you need to be in the gitosis-admin repository, if you don't have it, in a suitable parent folder do: git clone [email protected]:gitosis-admin.git Edit gitosis.conf file - in gitosis-admin root, under [group base-repo] section, add the name of the new repo to the end of the "writable =" section. Commit change and push back to gitosis-admin master. For the next commands, my_new_project represents the name of your project mkdir my_new_project cd my_new_project git init Copy in any files you want to use to start the repo git commit -a -m "Initializing new repository" git remote add origin [email protected]:my_new_project.git git push master git push master:qa So I did 1 and 2, with no problem. It created a local folder on my machine called gitosis-admin. I edited the gitosis.conf file as indicated. But when I try to do step 3 (which I assume is git push gitosis-admin master) bash tells me that fatal: 'master' does not appear to be a git repository fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly What am I doing wrong?

• SNMP query - operation not permitted

  I am working on API that reads a lot of data via SNMP (routes, interfaces, QoS policies, etc...). Lately, I have experienced a random error stating: Operation not permitted Now, I use SNMP4J as core library and cannot really pinpoint the source of error. Some Stackoverflow questions have suggested OS being unable to open sufficient number of file handles but increasing that parameter did not help much. The strange thing is that error occurs only when iptables is up and running. Could it be that firewall is blocking some traffic? I have tried writing JUnit test that mimicked application's logic but no errors were fired... Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!   Problem: Blank email from PHP web application. Confirmed: App works in Linux, has various problems in Windows server environment. Blank emails are the last remaining problem. PHP Version 5.2.6 on the server I'm a librarian implementing a PHP based web application to help students complete their assignments.I have installed this application before on a Linux based free web host and had no problems. Email is controlled by two files, email_functions.php and email.php. While email can be sent, all that is sent is a blank email. My IT department is an ASP only shop, so I can get little to no help there. I also cannot install additional libraries like PHPmail or Swiftmailer.   Problem: When I try to publish a SharePoint2013 workflow, I received the error: The requested service, ‘net.pipe://localhost/SecurityTokenServiceApplication/appsts.svc’ could not be activated. After that, my workflow stopped working and every time I start a work I receive the following error message: System.ApplicationException: PreconditionFailed ---> System.ApplicationException: Error in the application. --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Activities.Statements.Throw.Execute(CodeActivityContext context) at System.Activities.CodeActivity.InternalExecute(ActivityInstance instance, ActivityExecutor executor, BookmarkManager bookmarkManager) at System.Activities.Runtime.ActivityExecutor.ExecuteActivityWorkItem.ExecuteBody(ActivityExecutor executor, BookmarkManager bookmarkManager, Location resultLocation) Analysis: After analysis, I found the error by visiting the http://localhost:32843/SecurityTokenServiceApplication/securitytoken.svc and the error I got on the message is                                                                                                                                              Solution: The solution is basically getting more memory to the server.
