    System OSX or Linux I'm trying to automate my work flow at work, each week I receive an excel file, which I convert to a csv. I have tried playing around with sed and awk and hit google but I have found nothing that really solves the issue. I'd imagine perl would be particular suited to this or maybe python, so I would be more than happy to accept suggestions from users. So, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Can I access somehow $target_folder_and_file_name from the PHP code in main.js.php ?

  • impress.js Navigation with active class

    I would like to use impress.js in order to make a website, with a navigation bar. In each slide, the corresponding anchor or div must have an "active" class, in order to achieve a different link appearance. I have followed all instructions provided here: https://github.com/Ralt/impress.js/commit/f88feb8cae704ce27bd2168bdb77768f516ac2da#L2R605 but the "active" class on the correct menu must be added. This is the code that generates the menu items.     I swear this should be so easy... Why is it not? :( In fact, I want to combine 2 parts of the same array to make a complex array: Data[:,:,:,0] , Data[:,:,:,1] These don't work: x = np.complex(Data[:,:,:,0], Data[:,:,:,1]) x = complex(Data[:,:,:,0], Data[:,:,:,1]) Am I missing something? Does numpy not like performing array functions on complex numbers? Here's the error: TypeError: only length-1 arrays can be converted to Python scalars Cheers

    I have a template that creates a unique identifier for each type it is instanced. Here's a streamlined version of the template: template <typename T> class arType { static const arType Id; // this will be unique for every instantiation of arType<>. } // Address of Id is used for identification. #define PA_TYPE_TAG(T) (&arType<T >::Id) This works when you have an executable made purely of static libraries. Unfortunately we're moving to an executable made up of dlls. Each dlls could potentially have its own copy of Id for a type. One obvious solution is to explicitly instantiate all instances of arType. Unfortunately this is cumbersome, and I'd like to ask if anyone can propose a better solution?

  • Shapes-tool creating a vector mask every time, cannot seem to fix in CS3?

    Every time I create a shape using the shape tool, it places a vector mask on top of this. I don't know how I enabled this but it does not do it on my laptop version, only my desktop. I can seem to disable this problem I am having. Even reinstalling and restoring defaults I cannot seem to stop this. Very frustrating, anyone have a fix for this problem? Thanks in advance!

    I want to create a three level menu, I have got a recursive function today that works with three levels. But the thing is how do i output the third lever? Using two repeaters i have managed to get a hold of the first two levels through the ChildNodes property. But that only gives me the second level. What if a want the third level? Example code below. The purpose of this repeater is to create an index from A-Z, which, when clicked, refreshes the information on the page.   • To Interface or Not?: Creating a polymorphic model relationship in Ruby on Rails dynamically..

    Please bear with me for a moment as I try to explain exactly what I would like to achieve. In my Ruby on Rails application I have a model called Page. It represents a web page. I would like to enable the user to arbitrarily attach components to the page. Some examples of "components" would be Picture, PictureCollection, Video, VideoCollection, Background, Audio, Form, Comments. Currently I have a direct relationship between Page and Picture like this: class Page < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :pictures, :as => :imageable, :dependent => :destroy end class Picture < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :imageable, :polymorphic => true end This relationship enables the user to associate an arbitrary number of Pictures to the page. Now if I want to provide multiple collections i would need an additional model: class PictureCollection < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :collectionable, :polymorphic => true has_many :pictures, :as => :imageable, :dependent => :destroy end And alter Page to reference the new model: class Page < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :picture_collections, :as => :collectionable, :dependent => :destroy end Now it would be possible for the user to add any number of image collections to the page. However this is still very static in term of the :picture_collections reference in the Page model. If I add another "component", for example :video_collections, I would need to declare another reference in page for that component type. So my question is this: Do I need to add a new reference for each component type, or is there some other way? In Actionscript/Java I would declare an interface Component and make all components implement that interface, then I could just have a single attribute :components which contains all of the dynamically associated model objects. This is Rails, and I'm sure there is a great way to achieve this, but its a tricky one to Google. Perhaps you good people have some wise suggestions.   • Creating a ComboBox with one or more separator items?

    I'm using Delphi7 and I'd like to have a ComboBox with separator items (Just like in popup menus). I've seen this beautifully implemented in Mozilla Sunbird (I know, it's not Delphi...) the following way: The separator item is a simple gray line drawn in the center of the item If you hover over the separator with the mouse, the selection doesn't appear If the user clicks the separator, it's not selected either AND the combobox doesn't closeup. No. 1 could be implemented using DrawItem. I could live without No. 2 because I have no idea about that. For No. 3 I'm asking for your help. I've figured out that straight after closing up a CBN_CLOSEUP message is sent to the combobox. I thought about hooking the window proc and if CBN_CLOSEUP is sent to a certain combobox then countering it. But I'm unsure if this is the best solution, or maybe there are other, more elegant ways? Whatever the solution is, I'd like to have a standard ComboBox which supports WinXP/Vista/7 theming properly. Thanks!     Hi. I am new to LWUIT and j2me, and I am building a j2me application for showing Japanese text vertically. The phonetic symbol part of the text should be shown in relatively small font size (about half the size of the text), small Kanas need to be shown as normal ones, and some 'vertical only' characters need to be put into the Private Use Area, etc. I tried to build this font into a bitmap font using the FontTask ant task LWUIT provided, but found that it does support the customizations mentioned above. So I decided to write my own task and add those. Below is what I have achieved: 1 An ant task extending the LWUITTask task to support a new nested element <verticalfont>. public class VerticalFontBuildTask extends LWUITTask { public void addVerticalfont(VerticalFontTask anVerticalFont) { super.addFont(anVerticalFont); } } 2 The VerticalFontTask task, which extends the original FontTask. I only need a small part of the font inside my application and I don't want it to carry a font resource weighing 1~2MB. Is there a way to extract only the characters needed and pack them into LWUIT?

I thought about initializing class tree like Entity e = new Entity(ID, Title, ParentEntityID) and then serializing it. Table is about 3000 elems. Is there faster way?

  • Creating a HTTP handler for IIS that transparently forwards request to different port?

    I have a public web server with the following software installed: IIS7 on port 80 Subversion over apache on port 81 TeamCity over apache on port 82 Unfortunately, both Subversion and TeamCity comes with their own web server installations, and they work flawlessly, so I don't really want to try to move them all to run under IIS, if that is even possible. However, I was looking at IIS and I noticed the HTTP redirect part, and I was wondering... Would it be possible for me to create a HTTP handler, and install it on a sub-domain under IIS7, so that all requests to, say, http://svn.vkarlsen.no/anything/here is passed to my HTTP handler, which then subsequently creates a request to http://localhost:81/anything/here, retrieves the data, and passes it on to the original requestee? In other words, I would like IIS to handle transparent forwards to port 81 and 82, without using the redirection features. For instance, Subversion doesn't like HTTP redirect and just says that the repository has been moved, and I need to relocate my working copy. That's not what I want. If anyone thinks this can be done, does anyone have any links to topics I need to read up on? I think I can manage the actual request parts, even with authentication, but I have no idea how to create a HTTP handler. Also bear in mind that I need to handle sub-paths and documents beneath the top-level domain, so http://svn.vkarlsen.no/whatever/here needs to be handled by a single handler, I cannot create copies of the handler for all sub-directories since paths are created from time to time.

    So we have some server with some address port and ip. we are developing that server so we can implement on it what ever we need for help. What are standard/best practices for data transfer speed management between C++ windows client app and server (C++)? My main point is in how to get how much data can be uploaded/downloaded from/to client via his low speed network to my relatively super fast server. (I need it for set up of his live stream Audio/Video bit rate) My try on explaining number 3. We do not care how fast is our server. It is always faster than needed. We care about client tyring to stream out to our server his media. he streams encoded (via ffmpeg) live video data to our server. But he has say ADSL with 500kb/s of outgoing traffic. Also he uses some ICQ or what so ever so he has less than 500 kb/s per second. And he wants to stream live video! So we need to set up our ffmpeg to encode video with respect to the bit rate user can provide. We develop server side and client side. We need a way of finding out how much user can upload per second currently (so value can change dynamically over time)

    I use Index.cshtml and Index.mobile.cshtml. My Index.cshtml is a mobile app landing page containing an iframe to live demo the mobile web app. Index.mobile.cshtml is the mobile web app itself. The problem is, the iframe keeps loading the desktop version itself. As far as I know, I cannot configure the user agent of the iframe to a mobile type. It should be solvable with some routing but I couldn't figure out how!?

FieldWithValueControl *newTagControl = (FieldWithValueControl*)[[FieldWithValueControl alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(ITEM_SPACING, currentOffset + ITEM_SPACING, 0, 0)]; [scrollView addSubview:newTagControl]; The control looks fine, but if I click to the textbox or to the button nothing happens. Keyboard doesn't appear, the button is not clickable etc.

  • Android/Eclipse: Creating multiple builds with different com identifiers.

    Hi, I have an app that requires two builds - one is a demo app, the other uses the same codebase but uses a flag to introduce different functionality. The identifier must be different each time (e.g. com.siteA.appA and com.siteB.appB). However it doesn't appear to be trivial to use the refactor functionality in Eclipse to change the com identifier - all references change apart from the "import com.siteA.appA.R" reference. Is there a way to create different builds with different com identifiers/app name within Eclipse? Thanks
