I am integrating Zend Framework into an existing application. I want to switch the application over to Zend's autoloading mechanism to replace dozens of include() statements.
I have a specific requirement for the autoloading mechanism, though. Allow me to elaborate.
The existing application uses a core library (independent from ZF), for example:
/Core/Library/authentication.php
/Core/Library/translation.php
/Core/Library/messages.php
this core library is to remain untouched at all times and serves a number of applications. The library contains classes like
class ancestor_authentication { ... }
class ancestor_translation { ... }
class ancestor_messages { ... }
in the application, there is also a Library directory:
/App/Library/authentication.php
/App/Library/translation.php
/App/Library/messages.php
these includes extend the ancestor classes and are the ones that actually get instantiated in the application.
class authentication extends ancestor_authentication { }
class translation extends ancestor_translation { }
class messages extends ancestor_messages { }
usually, these class definitions are empty. They simply extend their ancestors and provide the class name to instantiate.
$authentication = new authentication();
The purpose of this solution is to be able to easily customize aspects of the application without having to patch the core libraries.
Now, the autoloader I need would have to be aware of this structure. When an object of the class authentication is requested, the autoloader would have to:
1. load /Core/Library/authentication.php
2. load /App/Library/authentication.php
My current approach would be creating a custom function, and binding that to Zend_Loader_Autoloader for a specific namespace prefix.
Is there already a way to do this in Zend that I am overlooking? The accepted answer in this question kind of implies there is, but that may be just a bad choice of wording.
Are there extensions to the Zend Autoloader that do this?
Can you - I am new to ZF - think of an elegant way, conforming with the spirit of the framework, of extending the Autoloader with this functionality? I'm not necessary looking for a ready-made implementation, some pointers (This should be an extension to the xyz method that you would call like this...) would already be enough.
Hi
I am using a ListView to display some images and captions associated with those images. I am getting the images from the Internet. Is there a way to lazy load the images so while the text displays, the UI is not locked up and images are displayed as they are downloaded. The number of images is not fixed.
Thanks.
I'd like to turn off the accordian animation during page load, and then turn it back on after the page is loaded.
Basically I've got multiple forms inside the accordion sections and when submitted the page gets reloaded and the relevant section is reloaded. But during the reload the animation is triggered which looks a little ugly. But I like it when the page is not being loaded.
How do I achieve this effect?
I am pretty new to Linux. Got a VPS set up yesterday, installed Apache2, PHP5 and MySQL.
When I do apache2 -l I get this:
Compiled in modules:
core.c
mod_log_config.c
mod_logio.c
prefork.c
http_core.c
mod_so.c
When I do sudo a2enmod rewrite I get this:
Module rewrite already enabled
And rewrite.load is in /etc/apache2/mods-enabled.
Can anyone tell what's wrong?
sudo gem install ruby-mbox
then I run this
require "rubygems"
require "ruby-mbox"
mbox = Mbox.new("Inbox")
and I get this
$ ruby mbox_read.rb
/usr/local/lib/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `gem_original_require': no such file toload -- ruby-mbox (LoadError)
from /usr/local/lib/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `require'
from mbox_read.rb:2
gem server says this
ruby-mbox 0.0.2 [rdoc] [www]
A simple library to read mbox files.
Executables are mbox-daemon, mbox-do.
Thanks in advance
We have serialized value of some objects persisted. Now we want to make substantial changes to some objects.
So what i want to do is load older version of object using old assembly then deserialize and serialize again with newer version of the object. I can have convert method which can transform old object to new one.
i have been converting object on fly on deserializer but in this case it's almost new object with same name.
Java loads the resources as they are needed. This make my tiny small desktop application to be very slow when opening a window.
How can I do toload all the resources when starting the app? Is something related to classloaders?

I have a page that has a tab set. Each of the tabs is loaded by the jQuery .load() function.
I want to display a loading animation that disappears when all of the ajax requests are finished. However, document.ready() has only provided me with limited success.
How can I ensure that all ajax requests are completed before executing the code to hide the loading animation?
Thanks!
I want to use a function on my html page but the content is delivered via ajax, how do I first load the script and then apply the function ? It won't work if I include the script in my . Also how can I use the jQuery .find() and and apply a function or modify the css for content that has been delivered after the page has loaded ?
I've tried many jQuery twitter feed plugins and they all seem to suffer from the same problem. Nothing loads for unless I refresh several times and then it will load once. I then need to refresh several more times before it loads again.
Is there some sort of limitation on Twitters side or does this only happen to me?
Example - This is the test site but it is basically ready to go live except for this issue.

Hi!
Im trying to do a simple fadeIn ONCE for the first div , but the problem is that this is a ajax load inside a everyTime(xxx sec), so it does the same thing everytime it loads again.
anyone got any ideas on how i can prevent the first div to fadeIn over and over again, but still do this function on the new div?
Not very familiar with Jquery.. so feed me with a spoon :)

I am trying to use the Sunlight API gem with a Rails project. I have installed the gem and can successfully use it from irb.
However, when I put the require statement (require 'sunlight') in sunlight.rb in config/initializers, I get the following error:
/opt/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-3.0.0.beta3/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:209:in `require': no such file toload -- sunlight (LoadError)
I checked the permissions on the gems directory, and it is world readable/executable.
Here is the code from sunlight.rb:
require 'rubygems'
require 'sunlight'
Sunlight::Base.api_key = 'bb7b775755054c54aa9715d202f6785c'
Wikipedia defines a 'typical' ETL cycle as :
Cycle initiation
Build reference data
Extract (from sources)
Validate
Transform (clean, apply business rules, check for data integrity, create aggregates or disaggregates)
Stage (load into staging tables, if used)
Audit reports (for example, on compliance with business rules. Also, in case of failure, helps to diagnose/repair)
Publish (to target tables)
Archive
Clean up
..What is meant by 'Build reference data'?
I manually placed a library in the library directory (/usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8) and when I try to require it, it says "no such file toload".
I used "$:.first" to get the library path, so why wont it work? Is there any good way to debug this?
Thanks

Switching aged 2003 SRV to 2008 caused my Asp.net 2 application fail: The application is no more loading the required library DLL from /bin/ folder anymore.
What should I change in my code or web.config to make this webapp load OK also in new 2008 server?
Now I receive this error when I access the application: This type is in IMPORTS ( Dll ).
Compiler Error Message: BC30002: Type

I'm having problems with image's on the page. I'm using Javascript to create the elements, and in FireFox it seems the string that I'm using to set the innerHTML is not being parsed correctly. I'll see this when the server page is requested with invalid GET variables. They look like this (from the PHP script's error handler):
GET[] = Array
(
[shrink] => true
[file_id] => \' file_id \'
[refresh] => \' now.getTime() \'
)
This only happens for about 5% of requests, which is making it difficult to solve. I have been able to reproduce this myself in FireFox, and Firebug will show that the URL it is trying to fetch is: https://www.domain.com/secure/%27%20+%20image_src%20+%20%27
I read somewhere that it might be related to FireFox prefetching content (can't find it googling now), since it seems to only happen on FireFox. Disabling prefetching in about:config does prevent the problem from occurring, but I'm looking for another solution or workaround that doesn't involve end users changing their configurations.
Here's the specifics and code:
I have an empty table cell on an HTML page. In JQuery's $(document).ready() function for the page, I used JQuery's $.ajax() method to get some data from the server about what should be in that cell. It returns the file_id variable, which for simplicity I just set below. It then sets the empty table cell to have an image with src that points toa page that will serve the image file depending on what file_id is passed. This part of the code was JQuery originally, so I changed it to straight Javascript but that didn't help anything.
//get data about image from server
//this is actually done through JQuery's $.ajax() but you get the idea
var file_id = 12;
//create the src for the img
//the refresh is to prevent the image from being cached ever, since the page's
//javascript will be it changes
//during the course of the page's life
var now = new Date();
var image_src = 'serve_image.php?shrink=true&file_id=' + file_id + '&refresh=' + now.getTime();
//create
document.getElementById('image_cell').innerHTML =
'<A target="_blank" href="serve_image.php?file_id=' + file_id + '">' +
'<IMG id=image_element src="' + image_src + '" alt="Loading...">' +
'</A>';`
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
