  • Underscore characters disappears on jEdit

    - by pocoa
I'm using jEdit 4.3 pre 16. As I've mentioned on the title, when I'm typing, sometimes underscore characters disappears. I tried to change fonts, line highlighting etc. but it didn't work. For example when you type: if __name__ == 'main': it displays: if name == 'main': When you click on name, it displays the underscores again. Is there any solution of this problem?

  • MXMLC and 64bit JRE

    - by sascha
Are there any workarounds to get the Flex compiler to work with a 64bit JRE? If I use an MXMLC task in an Ant buildfile in Eclipse it works fine but if I try to use MXMLC from the command line (or try the Run... command from FDT in Eclipse) it fails, telling me ... "Error loading: C:\Program Files\Java\jrrt-1.6.0\jre\bin\jrockit\jvm.dll" (this is with a 64bit JRockit runtime but that shouldn't matter).

  • WYSIWYG editor for Windows forms

    - by Tired
Does anyone know of a good WYSIWYG editor for Windows forms. If I use a rich textbox, I need to handle pasting events, bold buttons, fonts etc, which is a nightmare. I’m currently using the HTML control, suggested by many sites, but I have a large form, with many tabs. Since I have to load up to 8 HTML controls, loading the form takes too long. Any help?

  • Save or output WebBrowser object context to .pdf file in VB.NET

    - by Matt
I am loading an html page into a WebBrowser object in a VB.NET Windows Forms application. The user may make changes to textboxes, dropdowns, etc. on the HTML page displayed in the browser. I want the ability to save the current context to a .pdf file on the local HD. I am able to print using WebBrowser.Print(), which shows the current context, but what ways are possible to get this saved as a PDF file locally?

  • Why doesn't nHibernate support LIMIT when doing "join fetch"?

    - by HeavyWave
In nHibernate, if you do an HQL query with "join fetch" to eagerly load a child collection, nHibernate will ignore SetMaxResults and SetFirstResult and try to retrieve every single item from the database. Why? This behavior is specific to HQL, as ICriteria supports eager loading (with an outer join, though) and LIMIT. There are more details here http://www.lesnikowski.com/blog/index.php/nhibernate-ignores-setmaxresults-in-sql/ .

  • Using php's magic methods outside a class

    - by Greelmo
Is it possible to use PHP magic methods (specifically __get()) outside a defined class? I'm wanting to use it in a configuration file for quick loading. The configuration file has a single array, $config, with many keys. Therefore, I'd like to override __get() to return the key in the array.

  • Getting ImageView dimensions before adding the image

    - by twk
I've got a RelativeLayout that contains these items: LinearLayout ImageView (weight = 1) LinearLayout So, the ImageView should expand and pin the other layouts on the top/bottom of the screen. I'm loading the ImageView using an image stored on a web server. However, I can fetch images of any size from the server, so I'd rather just fetch the exact image size I need. Thus, I need to get the size of the ImageView before I actually fill it in. How can I do this?

  • Generic Property in C#

    - by ml123
Hi, I'm not quite sure how to do that, but what I would like to do is to create a special type of property that will perform specific tasks at the get and set, and will be defined on generic type. For example, when writing this: MyProp<String name; a pre-defined get and set will be performed on the string value. How can that be done? Thanks!

Is there any way a C++ commandline program on Windows can produce a graphical GUI print dialog for printing to a printer, just like usual GUI programs? I've combed through this webpage and it seems there are only commands that print files in the background to a pre-determined printer.

  • CSS3 Hover transition strange behavior

    - by Aleksandar Ivanov
    So I was playing around with transition/hover effects so that's the code. <pre> <code> /* HTML */ section> a href="#" title="button">CLICK!</a> // deleted the lt sign for visibility reasons! a href="#" title="button">CLICK!</a> a href="#" title="button">CLICK!</a> a href="#" title="button">CLICK!</a> /section> /********/ /* CSS */ section{ width: 700px; height: 500px; margin: 250px auto; position: relative; background: #08c; } section a{ border-radius: 51px; background: #e60; line-height: 100px; text-align: center; color: #04e; font-size: 24px; font-weight: bold; font-family: tahoma; text-decoration: none; display: block; width: 100px; height: 100px; } section a:nth-child(1){ position: absolute; top: -100px; left: -100px; -webkit-transition: left 2s ease; } section a:nth-child(2){ position: absolute; top: -100px; right: -100px; -webkit-transition: top 2s ease; } section a:nth-child(3){ position: absolute; bottom: -100px; right: -100px; -webkit-transition: right 2s ease; } section a:nth-child(4){ position: absolute; bottom: -100px; left: -100px; -webkit-transition: bottom 2s ease; } section a:nth-child(1):hover,section a:nth-child(1):focus{ left: 800px; } section a:nth-child(2):hover{ top: 600px; } section a:nth-child(3):hover{ right: 800px; } section a:nth-child(4):hover{ bottom: 600px; } /*******/ </code> </pre> BUT, I stumbled upon a strange thing. When I hover over a link its starts getting to its right position applied by the hover, but at some point (always different) the effect stops and it gets back to its original position! Have anyone seen this and know what is the problem ?

  • Memory Mapped Files .NET

    - by CSharpAtl
I have a project and it needs to access a large amount of proprietary data in ASP.NET. This was done on the Linux/PHP by loading the data in shared memory. I was wondering if trying to use Memory Mapped Files would be the way to go, or if there is a better way with better .NET support. I was thinking of using the Data Cache but not sure of all the pitfalls of size of data being saved in the Cache.

  • pathinfo vs fnmatch

    - by zaf
    There was a small debate regarding the speed of fnmatch over pathinfo here : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2692536/how-to-check-if-file-is-php I wasn't totally convinced so decided to benchmark the two functions. Using dynamic and static paths showed that pathinfo was faster. Is my benchmarking logic and conclusion valid? I include a sample of the results which are in seconds for 100,000 iterations on my machine : dynamic path pathinfo 3.79311800003 fnmatch 5.10071492195 x1.34 static path pathinfo 1.03921294212 fnmatch 2.37709188461 x2.29 Code: <pre> <?php $iterations=100000; // Benchmark with dynamic file path print("dynamic path\n"); $i=$iterations; $t1=microtime(true); while($i-->0){ $f='/'.uniqid().'/'.uniqid().'/'.uniqid().'/'.uniqid().'.php'; if(pathinfo($f,PATHINFO_EXTENSION)=='php') $d=uniqid(); } $t2=microtime(true) - $t1; print("pathinfo $t2\n"); $i=$iterations; $t1=microtime(true); while($i-->0){ $f='/'.uniqid().'/'.uniqid().'/'.uniqid().'/'.uniqid().'.php'; if(fnmatch('*.php',$f)) $d=uniqid(); } $t3 = microtime(true) - $t1; print("fnmatch $t3\n"); print('x'.round($t3/$t2,2)."\n\n"); // Benchmark with static file path print("static path\n"); $f='/'.uniqid().'/'.uniqid().'/'.uniqid().'/'.uniqid().'.php'; $i=$iterations; $t1=microtime(true); while($i-->0) if(pathinfo($f,PATHINFO_EXTENSION)=='php') $d=uniqid(); $t2=microtime(true) - $t1; print("pathinfo $t2\n"); $i=$iterations; $t1=microtime(true); while($i-->0) if(fnmatch('*.php',$f)) $d=uniqid(); $t3=microtime(true) - $t1; print("fnmatch $t3\n"); print('x'.round($t3/$t2,2)."\n\n"); ?> </pre>

  • How to style a code block to make all the colours look pretty like my IDE and here in stackoverflow?

    - by BritishDeveloper
When putting code samples in my blog I would like the code to have all the appropriate colours. How can I do that? Basically if I write: foreach (ListItem item in items) { item.Text = "something"; } I want it to appear in the correct colours like it does in my Visual Studio or here at stack*overflow*. I'm bored of styling the colours of each key word manually. Is there a pre-existing javascript library I can use?

  • Is it possible to add "assert" as a keyword in Delphi?

    - by stanleyxu2005
I write couple of "assert(...)" in code, to make sure that pre- and post-conditions should be satisfied. We can tell the Delphi compiler, whether to compile with assertions in a debug version and without assertions in a release version. I would like to know, if it is possible, to highlight "assert" like other Pascal keywords?
