  • Blogging Infastructure using Zend Framework?

    Hi there folks, I'm researching the prospect of incorporating a blog into my site. Currently, my site is written using the Zend Framework so it's not just a case of using Wordpress and that be the end of it. I was wondering. Has someone already done what I'm thinking of doing and written a blog infrastructure with comments and so forth using ZF? Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks Steve

  • Reading RSS feeds --> not consistent

    Hi There, i am trying to read the RSS feed by loading it to xmldocument some thing like xmlTextReader = new XmlTextReader(url); XmlDocument xmlDoc = new XmlDocument(); xmlDoc.Load(xmlTextReader); some times the loading to xml document succeeds and some times it fails . the url i am using is http://rss.nzherald.co.nz/rss/xml/nzhrsscid%5F000000004.xml what could be the probelm, is it like the RSS is not updated properly..? any suggestions/comments Regards DEE

  • ArcObjects: Is buffering a point faster than buffering a line / polyline?

    I can write my code logic to either buffer a polyline or to buffer the to and from point of the polyline. Working with the points will be easier, so it is the preferred way. Logically my reasoning tells me that buffering a point will be faster as it will always be a perfect circle. But will buffering 2 points still be faster than buffering 1 polyline? My gut says yes. Any comments?

Because if he go over and back and over and back a copule of times he stop doing hovering anfd the code is still executing itself how many times he had hover over the link. I need somehow prevent this to happen. EDIT: I need to solve this without plugins like hoverIntent etc. if possible, just plain javascript and jQuery

  • NHibernate dateTime as an ID Bad idea?

    hi there I have an entity and it seems like using DateTime as the Id would be a good suit, however I there is this strange feeling that that it might be a terrible idea ( tho i cant come up with any logical reason as to why), This is an immutable object ( ie once the value is recorded it shouldn't really change ) So DateTime as id field in NHibernate yay or Nay? I would appreciate your comments on this

I am loading invoking 3rd party Javascript functions that examine these vales, such as Tweetmeme and Facebook). If I use: $('meta[name=some-name]').attr('content', 'some value'); it does work to set the value of an existing meta tag, but does not create a meta tag if such a named one does not exist.     My application has two node types: a parent node which can hold recursive child nodes. Think of it like the post-comment system in SO, but comments can be recursive: parent_1 child_11 child_12 child_121 child_3 parent_2 child_21 child_211 child_2111 Important to note that the parent nodes have different attributes and behavior than the child nodes. What is the correct (and presumably most efficient) way of modeling this relationship in Django?

  • Listings in Latex with UTF-8 (or at least german umlauts)

    Trying to include a source-file into my latex document using the listings package, i got problems with german umlauts inside of the comments in the code. Using \lstset{ extendedchars=\true, inputencoding=utf8x } Umlauts in the source files (encoded in UTF-8 without BOM) are processed, but they are somehow moved to the beginning of the word they are contained in. So // die Größe muss berücksichtigt werden in the input source file, becomes // die ößGre muss übercksichtigt werden in the output file.
