I have checked each n everything... One thing is that the code works fine on FF too only when i debug the page with firebug debugger. I've used a javascript code that does the conversion - /((http|https|ftp):\/\/[^ ]+)/g; , but sometimes if there are multiple words, it captures an invalid URL. My question: Is there a way to strictly capture any string that starts with "http" AND ends with ".html" or "aspx" will be converted into a valid hyperlink? it should look like this - This is the site http://checksite.apsx to get information. I am currently doing my research and I have a pretty big list of controls to evaluate.   • Click in a ListView item changes status of elements inside the item?

    Hi, I don't know exactly how to explain this problem, but I'll try. I have a ListView with several items. Each item has inside a TextView and two ImageView. I want the ImageView change when I click on them, and I want to open a context menu when I press for a long time into the ListView item. For the ImageView, everything works properly. For the whole item, I can show the context menu after a long press, but my problem is that the ImageView changes as well when I am pressing the TextView, for example.   • Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: .... The status code returned from the server w

    Hi All, I have seen a few posts regarding this issue but not one specific to my problem and I have no ideas as to what I need to do to debug this. I have some combo boxes on an aspx pages, when I select a value from the first one, it fills the second with value and so on with the third and fourth. This works with no problems until I wrap an asp.net UpdatePanel around the combo boxes and try to "ajaxify" the whole process so the page isn't dancing around. The exact error I get is: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 404 Some things to note: I am using URL rewriting - This is what I think is causing the problem The error will occur whenever I choose a selection for a SECOND time. This means that I could select a value from the first combo box and get the same error (so it is happening on the second postback - No matter which combo box it's from). I have tried setting the EnablePartialRendering="false" on teh scriptmanager but as I said, it works when not using ajax, so I don't know how to debug the issue. My server is Windows 2008 running IIS& with ASP.NET 2.0. I would really appreciate your help Thanks in advance.

    I have a simple .NET app that makes a SOAP call to a third party Axis web service. When I trace the HTTP traffic, I see that the Request looks fine, however I'm getting an exception: "Response is not well-formed XML." The return object is null, as it seems the XML can't be deserialized. One question regarding the various namespace declarations inside the wsdl. Several of these declarations point to URLs / domains that no longer exist. Could this cause any problems?   • How do I get ASP.NET login status controls to display a Log In option?

    I have the following log in status controls on the top of my master page. It displays the logged in as, manager log in, and Log out options. However, when a user is not logged in, there is nothing displayed there. When the user is NOT logged in, is there a way to display a "Login" text link that takes you to the log in page and then "disappears" once the user is logged in? Any help is appreciated.   • What is the current status of LOGO? (The programming language)

    In another Q I saw someone mention LOGO and it reminded me of some programming language from the past, mostly used for educational purposes. Basically, you would have to program a turtle with a pen through it's back. By telling it where to move, the pen would draw lines. It could also lift the pen to move without drawing lines. I have fond memories of this language, since it was one of the first I've ever used, about 30 years ago. (Yeah, I'm old.) Well, I only programmed with LOGO for two days or so, but it got me hooked to programming. But I wonder if the LOGO information on it's Wikipedia page is still correct. And more importantly, are there versions that will create .NET binaries? Are there only LOGO Interpreters and no compilers? What is the current status of this educational language? And more interestingly, are there more experts here at SO who have experimented with LOGO in the past? Yeah, I know. Nowadays this language is a bit antique but I got some warm and comfortable memories when I remembered this interesting language from my history. For a teenager back then, it was fun!

    Here is the code that I have so far to define the icon: icon_bg = gtk.gdk.pixbuf_new_from_file('gmail.png') w, h = icon_bg.get_width(), icon_bg.get_height() cmap = gtk.gdk.Colormap(gtk.gdk.visual_get_system(), False) drawable = gtk.gdk.Pixmap(None, w, h, 24) drawable.set_colormap = cmap gc = drawable.new_gc() drawable.draw_pixbuf(gc, icon_bg, 0, 0, 0, 0, w, h) drawn_icon = gtk.gdk.Pixbuf(gtk.gdk.COLORSPACE_RGB, False, 8, w, h) drawn_icon.get_from_drawable(drawable, cmap, 0, 0, 0, 0, w, h) icon = gtk.status_icon_new_from_pixbuf(drawn_icon) This works to get the png into the icon, but falls short in two areas. First, transparency is not working. If I use a 22x22 png with transparent background and the image centered, I end up with sections of other active icons showing up inside of mine, like this: http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff311/Raugturi/22x22_image_with_transparency.png The icon it choose to steal from is somewhat random. Sometimes it's part of the dropbox icon, others the NetworkManager Applet. As for the second problem, I need the ability to write on the image before converting it to the icon. I tried using draw_glyphs and it told me I should be using Pango layout/context instead. Unfortunately all the Pango tutorials I could find deal with actual windows, not the status icon. Is there a good tutorial out there for Pango that would apply to this issue (and also maybe have at least some explanation of how to tell it what font to use as all of them that I found seem to lack this and it won't write anything without it). Note: Sorry for the lack of actual images and only one working link, apparently this is a spam prevention feature due to my lack of reputation.

Before trying to get Varnish to play nice with Drupal I'm trying to just get Varnish to a PNG from cache. I have a web service at /employees/{username}/tasks which returns a JSON array of task objects, with each task object nesting a JSON array of subtask objects. I have a fresh install of a Server 2008 R2 Web that I am trying to load an application I created and tested on a Windows 7 machine running IIS 7.5 using ASP.NET 4.0. Everything works fine on the dev machine.     I'm working on sending out an html based email, and every time it sends the image src tags and some of the anchor href tags are modified to be relative url's. Update 2: This is happening between when the body of the email is generated and sent and when it arrives in my inbox. Update: I am using Postfix on a LAMPP server. In addition, I am using Zend_Mail to send the emails out.   • Dectect ASCII codes for asian double byte / cyrillic character sets?

    Is it possible to detect if an ascii character belongs to Asian double byte or Cyrillic character sets? Perhaps specific code ranges? I've googled, but not finding anything at first glance. There's an RSS feed I'm tapping into that has the locale set as 'en-gb'. But there are some Asian double byte characters in the feed itself - which I need to handle differently. Just not sure how to detect it since the meta locale data is incorrect. I do not have access to correct the public feed.
