  • Duplicate elements when adding XElement to XDocument

    I'm writing a program in C# that will go through a bunch of config.xml files and update certain elements, or add them if they don't exist. I have the portion down that updates an element if it exists with this code: XDocument xdoc = XDocument.Parse(ReadFile(_file)); XElement element = xdoc.Elements("project").Elements("logRotator") .Elements("daysToKeep").Single(); element.Value = _DoRevert; But I'm running into issues when I want to add an element that doesn't exist. Most of the time part of the tree is in place and when I use my code it adds another identical tree, and that causes the program reading the xml to blow up. here is how I am attempting to do it xdoc.Element("project").Add(new XElement("logRotator", new XElement("daysToKeep", _day))); and that results in a structure like this(The numToKeep tag was already there): <project> <logRotator> <daysToKeep>10</daysToKeep> </logRotator> <logRotator> <numToKeep>13</numToKeep> </logRotator> </project> but this is what I want <project> <logRotator> <daysToKeep>10</daysToKeep> <numToKeep>13</numToKeep> </logRotator> </project>

  • Raphael.js: Adding a new custom element

    I would like to create a custom Raphael element, with custom properties and functions. This object must also contain predefined Raphael objects. For example, I would have a node class, that would contain a circle with text and some other elements inside it. The problem is to add this new object to a set. These demands are needed because non-Raphael objects cannot be added to sets. As a result, custom objects that can contain Raphael objects cannot be used.   • mdadm: Win7-install created a boot partition on one of my RAID6 drives. How to rebuild?

    My problem happened when I attempted to install Windows 7 on it's own SSD. The Linux OS I used which has knowledge of the software RAID system is on a SSD that I disconnected prior to the install. This was so that windows (or I) wouldn't inadvertently mess it up. However, and in retrospect, foolishly, I left the RAID disks connected, thinking that windows wouldn't be so ridiculous as to mess with a HDD that it sees as just unallocated space. Boy was I wrong! After copying over the installation files to the SSD (as expected and desired), it also created an ntfs partition on one of the RAID disks. Both unexpected and totally undesired! . I changed out the SSDs again, and booted up in linux. mdadm didn't seem to have any problem assembling the array as before, but if I tried to mount the array, I got the error message: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/md0, missing codepage or helper program, or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so dmesg: EXT4-fs (md0): ext4_check_descriptors: Block bitmap for group 0 not in group (block 1318081259)! EXT4-fs (md0): group descriptors corrupted! I then used qparted to delete the newly created ntfs partition on /dev/sdd so that it matched the other three /dev/sd{b,c,e}, and requested a resync of my array with echo repair > /sys/block/md0/md/sync_action This took around 4 hours, and upon completion, dmesg reports: md: md0: requested-resync done. A bit brief after a 4-hour task, though I'm unsure as to where other log files exist (I also seem to have messed up my sendmail configuration). EXT4-fs (md0): group descriptors corrupted! I'm a bit unsure where to proceed from here, and trying stuff "to see if it works" is a bit too risky for me. This is what I suggest I should attempt to do: Tell mdadm that /dev/sdd (the one that windows wrote into) isn't reliable anymore, pretend it is newly re-introduced to the array, and reconstruct its content based on the other three drives. I also could be totally wrong in my assumptions, that the creation of the ntfs partition on /dev/sdd and subsequent deletion has changed something that cannot be fixed this way. My question: Help, what should I do? If I should do what I suggested , how do I do that? From reading documentation, etc, I would think maybe: mdadm --manage /dev/md0 --set-faulty /dev/sdd mdadm --manage /dev/md0 --remove /dev/sdd mdadm --manage /dev/md0 --re-add /dev/sdd However, the documentation examples suggest /dev/sdd1, which seems strange to me, as there is no partition there as far as linux is concerned, just unallocated space. Maybe these commands won't work without. Maybe it makes sense to mirror the partition table of one of the other raid devices that weren't touched, before --re-add. Something like: sfdisk -d /dev/sdb | sfdisk /dev/sdd Bonus question: Why would the Windows 7 installation do something so st...potentially dangerous?     I have a gps device that records data e.g. datetime, latitude, longitude I have an sdk that reads the data from the device. The way the data is read: A command packet (basically a combination of int values in a struct) is sent to the device. The device responds with the data in fixed size chunks e.g. 64bytes Depending on the command issued I will get back differect data structs e.g. sending command 1 to the device returns a struct like struct x { id int, name char[20] } command 2 returns a collection of the following structs (basically it boils down to an array of the structs - y[12]) struct y { date datetime, lat decimal, lon decimal } I would then want to convert the struct to a class and save the data to a database. What would be the best way to encapsulate the entire process, preferably using some established design pattern? Many thanks M

    Sorry for the seemingly simple question. I have a NSImageView (added in interface builder) and want to add a shadow outline. I tried using the 'Image View Effects' section of the 'Inspector' but this required enabling a core animation layer. If I set it for the 'Content View' I have very strange appearance side effects. If I set it for the 'Image View' the shadow is cropped (sorry, can't resize the image view). Any ideas?

Currently, I can't seem to get away from assigning each one manually. ie: $this->widgetSchema['title']->setAttribute("class","fieldInput"); $this->widgetSchema['tag_line']->setAttribute("class","fieldInput"); $this->widgetSchema['description']->setAttribute("class","fieldInput"); // etc Things I tried without success 1) looping through $this-widgetSchema, treating it as an array and setting attributes to each key 2) $this-widgetSchema-setAttribute() but this only applied the class to the label that was generated, not the form element There must be a way to hit all the fields without specifically directing them? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • jQuery class adding and removing with click and mouseleave

    I just want to control a div by toggling a class on click, as well as removing it when the mouse leaves the div. I had it working with mouseout, but when I entered over a child element, the mouseOut triggered, so I know I need to use mouseleave. I am just unsure how incorporate telling jQuery the mouse has entered. Yes I am new to this!     I currently have a listview which contains a couple of strings. These are called from a string array in strings.xml <string name="app_name">Taxi Me</string> <string-array name="taxi_array"> <item>Barrys Taxi</item> <item>Boom Taxi</item> </string-array> What i was trying to do is create subitems for these so that i can show fields such as address and contact details etc. I made a customlistview a while back but cant work out how i can do it using the strings.xml file? Are there any particular tags i need to use so they show up in the list view? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    I use configChanges="locale" on my activities. Without this options in AndroidManifest.xml in 2.x i get flickering screens. It works in all my activities excepting in the preferences screen i add programatically. I have one Preference Activity -- it works after setting configChanges="locale" to the AndroidManifest.xml. Inside of the Preference Activity i add programatically a new preferencescreen. For this new PreferenceScreen i dont have an activity in the AndroidManifest.xml! So i cannot add the configChanges="locale" and the screen flickers on 2.x !! How can i add the attribute configChanges="locale" programatically?
