Here are the GDI functions Chord() provided by MFC:
BOOL Chord( int x1, int y1, int x2, int y2, int x3, int y3, int x4, int y4 );
BOOL Chord( LPCRECT lpRect, POINT ptStart, POINT ptEnd );
It seems to me that no such method is privided by GDI+ (the Graphics class), so how do I implement my own Chord function (with the exact same prototype) ?
By the way, I just don't understand why does MS just don't provide them.
Thanks.
I have a view that I'm trying to setup an Index for. One of the select columns for the view executes a user-defined function that has a return value of varchar(250). However, when I try to setup an Index on that column, I see a size of nvarchar(4000). Why is that and will that cause a problem if I continue to setup my index?
In smarty is it possible or is there any kind of function to render a template and return the result?
for example:
$rendered_content = $smarty->render("content.html")
hello.
Is there macro, something like BOOST_AUTO, which would allow to emulate automatic return type deduction of function in C++?
I mean something like trailing-return-type, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%2B%2B0x#Alternative_function_syntax
thank you
I am using the function CertCreateSelfSignCertificate (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa376039(VS.85).aspx) to generate a certificate. I need to specify the key size to be 2048. I do not see how to provide this parameter.
I would appreciate any help in this matter.
Thanks.

dt=bwdist(~x,'cityblock');
% find the local maximum

Can someone illustrate?
Is there an equivalent of JS 'escape' function in Groovy/Java?
escape('hello world') => hello%20world
I tried this class: http://commons.apache.org/lang/api/org/apache/commons/lang/StringEscapeUtils.html, but it didn't work.
Or do i have to implement it?
Thanks.
Hi there,
I tried to pass a string value into a JavaScript function like below:
<%= "'" + prop.property_description + "'") %>)
But it does not seems to be the best option, is there a better way to do the above without concatenate the string values with "'"?
Thanks
Class Test{
int value;
static void* thread_func(void* args){
value++;
}
void newthread(){
pthread_create(&thread_func,...);
}
}
I'm trying to create a thread in Class Test. Therefore compiler forces me to make thread_func static. However I cannot access the non-static member "value" anymore. It says:
invalid use of member 'Class::value' in static member function
Is there a way around it?
I have a page that has a tab set. Each of the tabs is loaded by the jQuery .load() function.
I want to display a loading animation that disappears when all of the ajax requests are finished. However, document.ready() has only provided me with limited success.
How can I ensure that all ajax requests are completed before executing the code to hide the loading animation?
Thanks!
I'm looking for something similar in form to weighted.mean(). Sorry for posting such a banal question... new to R. I've found some solutions via search that write out the entire function but would appreciate something a bit more user friendly.
here is that case....i have an String array that contains only method names of yyyyyy.java file
in xxxxxx.java file am creaing yyyyyy.java 's instance (say obj)
now i have access obj.fuction_name....that function i should get from that String array in loop ...is that possible ...
thank u
Hi all, I have this functions and need to make it one function. The only difference is type of input variable sourceColumnValue. This variable can be String or Integer but the return value of function must be always Integer.
I know I need to use Generics but can't do it.
public Integer selectReturnInt(String tableName, String sourceColumnName, String sourceColumnValue, String targetColumnName) {
Integer returned = null;
String query = "SELECT "+targetColumnName+" FROM "+tableName+" WHERE "+sourceColumnName+"='"+sourceColumnValue+"' LIMIT 1";
try {
Connection connection = ConnectionManager.getInstance().open();
java.sql.Statement statement = connection.createStatement();
statement.execute(query.toString());
ResultSet rs = statement.getResultSet();
while(rs.next()){
returned = rs.getInt(targetColumnName);
}
rs.close();
statement.close();
ConnectionManager.getInstance().close(connection);
} catch (SQLException e) {
System.out.println("???????? ?? ???? ?? ???? ?????????!");
System.out.println(e);
}
return returned;
}
// SELECT (RETURN INTEGER)
public Integer selectIntReturnInt(String tableName, String sourceColumnName, Integer sourceColumnValue, String targetColumnName) {
Integer returned = null;
String query = "SELECT "+targetColumnName+" FROM "+tableName+" WHERE "+sourceColumnName+"='"+sourceColumnValue+"' LIMIT 1";
try {
Connection connection = ConnectionManager.getInstance().open();
java.sql.Statement statement = connection.createStatement();
statement.execute(query.toString());
ResultSet rs = statement.getResultSet();
while(rs.next()){
returned = rs.getInt(targetColumnName);
}
rs.close();
statement.close();
ConnectionManager.getInstance().close(connection);
} catch (SQLException e) {
System.out.println("???????? ?? ???? ?? ???? ?????????!");
System.out.println(e);
}
return returned;
}
Lets say i wrote helper for TStringList
TslHelper = class helper for TStringList
function DoSth: boolean;
end;
Then ive included this helper (unit in which helper is defined) in unit i want to use it.
During debugging i hit Ctrl+F7 and i want to evaluate:
someStringList.DoSth
I cant get it to work. Is it possible?
Regards
is there a built in function to compute the overlap between two discrete intervals, e.g. the overlap between [10, 15] and [20, 38]? In that case the overlap is 0. If it's [10, 20], [15, 20], the overlap is 5.
thanks.
How can I tell if a given javascript function will work across browsers? For instance, I want to use String.trim() and I see that it works in Firefox, but will it work in all the other major browsers? I imagine there is a good doc online somewhere, but I can't find it.
This is too basic I think, but how do both of these work?
return true; // 1
and
return (true); // 2
Similar: sizeof, exit
My guess:
If return was a function, 1 would be
erroneous.
So, return should be a unary
operator that can also take in
brackets... pretty much like unary
minus: -5 and -(5), both are
okay.
Is that what it is - a unary operator?
I made a facebook content locker(PHP + HTML + JAVA) for my website, so to access the site user must press the 'facebook share "in the middle of the screen.After pressing this button, it opens facebook pop-up and user can share or NOT my link because locker disappear in 30 seconds since clicked on this button(so I put it).
Is there any possibility, any function that content locker disappear only after the user has actually given share in facebook pop-up window,I mean after my site address appears on facebook ?
Thanks a lot
char
char* c[30];
c = (char*) malloc(30*sizeof(char) );
How does this give an incompatible declaration in built in function warning and and incompatible types in assignment error in the line where i have declared malloc . According to the syntax of malloc , i shouldnt have any error
Hi guys.
I read about function pointers in C
And everyone said that will make my program run slow.
Is it true?
I made a program to check it.
And I got the same results on both cases. (mesure the time.)
So, is it bad to use fuction pointer?
Thanks in advance.
Hi!
Im trying to do a simple fadeIn ONCE for the first div , but the problem is that this is a ajax load inside a everyTime(xxx sec), so it does the same thing everytime it loads again.
anyone got any ideas on how i can prevent the first div to fadeIn over and over again, but still do this function on the new div?
Not very familiar with Jquery.. so feed me with a spoon :)
