  • SEO and JavaScript since Google admits JS parsing

    We're planning on building a HTML snapshot creation service to provide the Google crawlers with static HTML of our JS driven single page application. Is this still necessary and/or encouraged since Google openly admits it is parsing JS now? How should I tackle this evaluation? Are there tools to provide data on when it's needed to provide snapshots and when google has sufficent parsing? Is it better because it would be much faster in comparison to the JS incremental rendering?

I was previously sold on gerrit, but now github's fork and pull request model seem to almost provide more tools, ways to visualize commits, and ease of use.     I picked up a motion computing m1400 for cheap and was successful in getting 11.04 installed on it but have run into trouble getting the touch screen to work. This is one of the older tablet pcs that need a special pen for the touch screen. There are instructions out there for older versions of Ubuntu but they usually rely on a package called wacom-tools that is no longer in the repos.     This gave me a WTF moment recently. MVC? Viewstate? Eh!? All was fine on the dev server, but as soon as I deployed to the web farm this error appeared every time I recycled the app pool. It turns out it was the cookie created by <%= Html.AntiForgeryToken() %> and simply generating a machine key sorted it out. http://aspnetresources.com/tools/keycreator.aspx
