  • Including a JSP Page Programatically

    I need to include a JSP page in a Tag class. I believe the standard way to include a JSP page within another JSP page using API is this: request.getRequestDispatcher("included.jsp").include(request, response); However, I noticed that the included page is rendered at the top of the generated page, no matter where the code is located. On the other hand, the <jsp:include> action works as expected, rendering the included page where the tag appears in the JSP file. How do I include a JSP page in a class so that it behaves the same as the <jsp:include>? There's no way to invoke the <jsp:include> action within a Tag class, is there?

  • rdlc - phantom page break, what to check?

    I have a RDLC report which has some controls on the first page, which are inside a rectangle and which display ok. Beneath the rectangle, i have a matrix, which spans more than one page both in width and in height. I want the matrix to start rendering on the second page. If I enable "insert break before" on the matrix, there is an extra blank page before the matrix(in print layout), which is my problem. If I reduce the amount of data, so the matrix does not span more than one page in width, there is no blank page, and all is well. I checked the Page and Body sizes, they are ok. Any tips? This has been driving me crazy all day, what can I check? Thx

  • Disabling a link tag using JavaScript on my printable page

    I have a script that creates a printable page by copying the HTML across and then doing some manipulation, such as disabling the buttons on the page, on page load. I also want to disable the links on the page. I don't really mind if they look like links still as long as they don't do anything, and don't give any JavaScript errors! The anchor tag doesn't seem to have a disabled attribute... Unfortunately, I can't use jQuery, so JavaScript only please! Edit: I want to disable the links, buttons etc on the page so that when the 'printable page' opens in another window, the user cannot mess with it by clicking buttons or links. I want it to essentially be a 'frozen snapshot' of the page that they want to print.

  • IE6 not rendering the page

    I have a web page which consists of a few component pages. When a user requests the page, the server assembles its component pages into the main page and sends it back to the browser. When there is an update on the component page, IE6 browser cannot see the updated content. However, IE7 and Firefox are fine. Checking with Fiddler, the http response returns 200, If-Modified-Since header is the same as the last modified date of the main page, the response raw html also has the updated content. It seems that IE6 browser abandons the rendering of the page because If-Modified-Since is the same as the last modified date of the main page. Does anyone know how to overcome this issue in IE6?

If I use something like: printDocument.PrintPage += OnPrintPage; printDocument.Print(); my printing task size in printer queue takes more than 1 GB! Can anyone suggest how can I print the images one by one. Maybe some event like PrintJobIsFinished is available?

    Let's assume that Stackoverflow offers web services where you can retrieve all the questions asked by a specific user. A request to get all question from user A can result in the following json output: { { "question": "What is rest?", "date_created": "20/02/2010", "votes": 1, }, { "question": "Which database to use for ...", "date_created": "20/07/2009", "votes": 5, }, } If I want to manipulate and present the data in any ways that I want, will it be wise to dump it in a local database? At some point, I will also want to retrieve all answers for each question and store them in a local database. The workflow that I'm thinking is: User logs in. Web services retrieve all questions asked by the logged in user, dump them in a local database. User wants all answers for a specific question, another web service does the retrieval and dump them in a local database. After user logs out, delete from the local database all questions and answers from that user.

  • Tomcat blankpage for default error page

    First off, I'm using Tomcat 5.5 and my .jsp's live in /webapps/foo/bar/*.jsp. I followed the directions here to set up a default 404 error page. In my TOMCAT_HOME/conf/web.xml I entered: <error-page> <error-code>404</error-code> <location>/error.html</location> </error-page> I dropped copies of a test error.html file into each of the dirs (I wasn't sure where /error.html was referring to): /webapps/ /webapps/foo/ /webapps/foo/bar/ Whenever I attempt to access a non-existent page in a browser at url's /foo/missingpage.html or /foo/bar/missingpage.html I'm redirected to my error page that exists in /foo/error.html. However, attempting to access a non-existent page in a browser at url /missingpage.html yields a blankpage. Or any permutation of /missingDir/missingfile.html will also yield a blank page. Any suggestions? Am I missing some extra configuration? Thanks PR

    Hello.I have a page where i add,edit and delete menus.For add and edit I have a separate page.When i add or edit menus,i come on the main page where i display the menus,so i print messages as "menu added" or "menu edited".But when i delete the menu,my page does not get refreshed,because i have written the delete code on the same page sing ajax function as follows:$.ajax( { type: "POST", url: "delete_menu.php", data: data, cache: false, success: function() { parent.fadeOut('slow', function() {$(this).remove();}); document.getElementById('showDiv').style.display = ''; } } The page does not get refreshed,so the div containing messages like "menus added or edited" does not get hide.I have given id to Div as showDiv. So can anyone help me to solve this problem.Also when i delete,can anyone tell me how do i display message as "menu deleted" in ajax without page refresh.Thanks in advance.

So far now I've been following this excelente tutorial http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/J2SE/jax_ws_2/ it all goes well, I have my web service working from the command line with it's embeded server, and then, with the help of netbeans I deployed it on tomcat. I'd like to know the steps to manually deploy it on tomcat, in order to learn how it's done, and because I don't like depending on an ide. I mean, I'd like to know how everything could be done from the command line and a text editor. I've also found this link that explains how to manually deploy a servlet to tomcat, http://linux-sxs.org/internet_serving/c292.html but I couldn't find any article telling how to deploy a web service... thanks a lot saludos sas

  • How to mock test a web service in PHPUnit across multiple tests?

    I am attempting to test a web service interface class using PHPUnit. Basically, this class makes calls to a SoapClient object. I am attempting to test this class in PHPUnit using the "getMockFromWsdl" method described here: http://www.phpunit.de/manual/current/en/test-doubles.html#test-doubles.stubbing-and-mocking-web-services However, since I want to test multiple methods from this same class, every time I setup the object, I also have to setup the mock WSDL SoapClient object. This is causing a fatal error to be thrown: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class xxxx in C:\web\php5\PEAR\PHPUnit\Framework\TestCase.php(1227) : eval()'d code on line 15 How can I use the same mock object across multiple tests without having to regenerate it off the WSDL each time? That seems to be the problem.

  • User Control's Page Init Event Not Firing After Another User Control Using

    I have an user control. I add dynamicly control to this control on its Page Init. This user control's parent Page's every postback, its page init works fine. After I added an different user control to Page. In Second User control, user select photos and uploads them with asyncfileupload control(AJAX). And I save all of them with a button at the end of Page. In EveryPostBack Parent Page Load event works. If I dont select any photo from Second User Control, First User Control's Page Init event works fine when I click Save Button. But if I select a photo, first User Control dont work. What is the problem?

    Hi everyone... i have a webservice that i want to test by typing the url in the address bar in the web browser localhost:1981/myProject/admin/autocomplete.asmx and when i do this it gives this compilation error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'Oledb' does not exist in the namespace 'System.Data' (are you missing an assembly reference?) i know this is because we added this in our web.config <add namespace="System.Data.Oledb"/> <add namespace ="System.Data"/> in the namespaces section..... when i call this web service through ajax it works but if i try to test it it gives this error. Is there any way to prevent this?

    Sorry if this isn't strictly speaking a programming question, but I figure my best chance of success would be to ask here. I'm developing some web log file analysis algorithms, but to date I only have access to a fairly small amount of web log data to process. One algorithm I want to use makes some assumptions about 'the shape' of typical web log data, and so I'd like to test it against a larger 'exemplar' - perhaps the logs of a busy site with a good distribution of traffic from different sources etc. Is there a set of such data available somewhere?   • Determine if on product page programmatically in Magento

    I want to insert tracking codes on all of the pages of a Magento site, and need to use a different syntax if the page is a CMS page, a category browsing page, or a product view page. I have a custom module set up with a block that inserts a generic tracking code on each page for now. From within the block, how can I distinguish between CMS pages, category pages, and product pages? I started with: Mage::app()->getRequest(); I can see that Mage::app()->getRequest()->getParam('id'); returns the product or category ID on product and category pages, but doesn't distinguish between those page types. Mage::app()->getRequest()->getRouteName(); return "cms" for CMS pages, but returns "catalog" for both category browsing and product view pages, so I can't use that to tell category and product pages apart. Is there some indicator in the request I can use safely? Or is there a better way to accomplish my goal of different tracking codes for different page types?

Both databases have same structure and data at start up. Then databases will change when users add data to web application and an employee adds data to the desktop application.     We have a Java web application deployed on Tomcat. We also setup Apache and mod_proxy_ajp to route web requests (port 80/443) to Tomcat. We would like to deploy a PHP application on the same Apache server - probably under a subdirectory (/var/www/ourapp). Now we would like to access & display web pages from PHP application within web pages generated by Java application. Planning to implement Single Sign-on as well. Example: Web page from java has (JQuery Tabs) and we like to display the PHP web page within a tab while all other HTML comes from java application. Can you please give a overall picture of how to proceed about this? Mainly 1. how we should install/setup our PHP application on same Apache server which is used to route web requests to Tomcat? i.e. either setup sub domain or install in sub directory 2. Specifically, we have these files starting with AB_.jpg where the _ could be anything. We put them in a folder on April 27th for example, but they shouldn't be accessible until April 30th at 11:59:59 PM.     Does anybody know a good web framework that includes an ORM mapper and allows straight forward implementation of web services? I'm looking for a framework written in PHP or C++. I'm looking for the following features (not all of them required, some will do nicely) data definition in one place used by database and web service WSDL generation XML output/JSON output boilerplate code generation So what I would like is a framework that let's me specify the objects, the web service functions on those objects and then generate everything that is required leaving me to fill the business logic (connecting the database to the web service). Anything like that out there? Background information for why I need this: I'm looking into creating a web project: the client is a rich web application that fetches all its data using AJAX. It will be completely custom made using only a low level javascript library. The server back end is supposed to serve static content and javascript (basically the rich web application) and to provide a RESTful web service API (which I would like to implement using aforementioned framework).
