  • using moogaloop to embed a custom video player from Vimeo

    Anyone have any luck using Vimeo's moogaloop player? I'm wanting to use Vimeo's supposed API functions to create custom buttons to control the Vimeo player on my site. Here's the reference page for moogaloop: http://vimeo.com/api/docs/moogaloop I've been able to get the player to embed using SWFObject, but I can't seem to get the API functions to work (e.g. api_play()).     Trying to solve this problem. I would like to learn how the bootstrapper detects if prerequisites (specifically .NET 3.5) are installed. According to this reference, a way to detect if .NET is installed is to check the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v3.5 Using process monitor, I have inspected registry queries done by the bootstrapper (setup.exe) and it did not show any access to this registry key. Does anybody know how the bootstrapper determines whether the prerequisites are installed on the target system?

    Hello, Im doing something like that: var results = from d in myDocument.Elements().Descendants("myName") select d; foreach (var result in results){ if (sth...){ result.replace(myXElement); } } The problem is that when I replace an element I cant iterate to the next element cause there is null reference. (var result in results). Is there any other way to replace that element with another one and still be able to iterate through that document ? thanks for help

I know I can do this by actually running the program and counting the number of calls, but what I'm trying to do here is to do it without calling the function. I'm not asking for a time complexity, I'm trying to calculate the average number of calls. For example, the average number of calls to find a integer in A[2], it would be 1.67 (5/3).

If memcache.decr() is done outside the transaction, I think the worst-case is the transaction fails and we miss counting whatever we decremented. Am I overlooking some other problem that could occur by doing this? What are the significiant tradeoffs between the two implementations? Here are the tradeoffs I see: #2 does not require datastore transactions. To get the counter's value, #2 requires a datastore fetch while with #1 typically only needs to do a memcache.get() and memcache.add(). When incrementing a counter, both call memcache.incr(). Periodically, #2 adds a task to the task queue while #1 transactionally performs a datastore get and put. #1 also always performs memcache.add() (to test whether it is time to persist the counter to the datastore). Conclusions (without actually running any performance tests): #1 should typically be faster at retrieving a counter (#1 memcache vs #2 datastore). Though #1 has to perform an extra memcache.add() too. However, #2 should be faster when updating counters (#1 datastore get+put vs #2 enqueue a task). On the other hand, with #1 you have to be a bit more careful with the update interval since the task queue quota is almost 100x smaller than either the datastore or memcahce APIs.

If I set that web reference to 'localhost', some calls fail with this exception: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. --- System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server --- System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it If I set it to the actual machine name, it works.     For the sake of arguement, lets say that I've got a basicHttp WCF service. Besides implementing authentication (login/logout methods), what is stopping someone from just cracking open Visual Studio, adding a web reference to my website's service, and then playing playing around with my service? I'm not familiar with a method of stopping someone from doing this. The idea of someone downloading all of my Data/Operation contracts and then start playing around is keeping me up at night, and I like my sleep!

The errors I get are: mysql/lib/libmysqlcppconn.so: undefined reference to `std::ios_base::ios_base()@GLIBCPP_3.2'.... etc locations: libmysqlcppconn.so: mysql/lib/ libmysqlclient.so: /usr/lib/ I tried to follow the tutorial on mysql and some other pages but the results where the same, maybe I missed something.

    Hi I am writing my thesis in Latex, and I have the references in an own thesis.bib file which look as follows @Article{xxx, author = "D.A. Reinhard", title = "Case Study", year = "1985", } and I reference them in my main document as ~\cite{xxx} When I compile then the main document with: pdflatex main.tex than it shows me question marks instead of the proper references to the bibliography. Do I also need to compile the bib source on its own? If yes, can somebody please tell me the command for Linux Many thanks!
