  • php - get content from second pair of quotes in string

    - by Aaron Turecki
I'm trying to get the contents of the second quotes and only the second quotes from a string. Right now I'm able to get the contents of all three quotes. What am I doing wrong? Is it possible to just print the second value in the output array? • PHP code cannot see query string param on return in Facebook oAuth flow

    - by TMC
I am doing some integration with Facebook Open Graph using their oAuth flow and having issues with parsing query string parameters they return. On my callback URL, they pass back an "access_token" parameter with a hash (#). so the callback would be: http://mydomain.com/callback.php#access_token=foobar123 where foobar123 is my access token I'm trying to parse out. However, no matter what I do, my PHP code cannot see if and I've done every debug trick I know (even using phpinfo() to go through everything). The URL is stated only as http://mydomain.com/callback.php. It's as if the rest of the URL isn't really there! This code returns nothing: $token = $_REQUEST['access_token']; Any help would be greatly appreciated... I'm obviously missing something simple.

  • Why does _GET in PHP wrongly decodes slash?

    - by Boaz
Hi, Today I run into some oddity with PHP, which I fail find a proper explanation for in the documentation. Consider the following code: <?php echo $_GET['t']. PHP_EOL; ?> The code is simple - it takes a single t parameter on the url and outputs it back. So if you call it with test.php?t=%5Ca (%5c is a '\'), I expected to see: \a However, this is what I got: $ curl http://localhost/~boaz/test.php?t=%5Ca \\a Notice the double slash. Can anyone explains what's going on and give recipe for retrieving the strings as it was supplied on the URL? Thanks, Boaz

  • Finding the Column Index for a Specific Value

    - by Btibert3
Hi All, I am having a brain cramp. Below is a toy dataset: df <- data.frame( id = 1:6, v1 = c("a", "a", "c", NA, "g", "h"), v2 = c("z", "y", "a", NA, "a", "g"), stringsAsFactors=F) I have a specific value that I want to find across a set of defined columns and I want to identify the position it is located in. The fields I am searching are characters and the trick is that the value I am looking for might not exist. In addition, null strings are also present in the dataset. Assuming I knew how to do this, the variable position indicates the values I would like returned. > df id v1 v2 position 1 1 a z 1 2 2 a y 1 3 3 c a 2 4 4 <NA> <NA> 99 5 5 g a 2 6 6 h g 99 The general rule is that I want to find the position of value "a", and if it is not located or if v1 is missing, then I want 99 returned. In this instance, I am searching across v1 and v2, but in reality, I have 10 different variables. It is also worth noting that the value I am searching for can only exist once across the 10 variables. What is the best way to generate this recode? Many thanks in advance.

  • Forcing positive sign on double in .Net String.Format

    - by Max Yaffe
Context: .Net, C# I want to print a complex number made from two doubles. The sign needs to show on the imaginary part. I'd like to use the default double formatting for each part to minimize the number of characters. I tried using String.Format("{0:+G;-G}{1:+G;-G}j", real, imaginary) but this ended up printing: "+G-Gj". Not quite what I wanted. Is there any way to do this using the G specifier or do I need to do a custom format which would sacrifice auto-switching the exponent, e.g. {1:+#.######e###;-#.######e###}j"

  • Match string which doesn't start with

    - by Pinky
I have a string that looks like this: var str = "Hello world, &nbsp;hello &gt;world, hello world!"; ... and I'd like to replace all the hellos with e.g. bye and world with earth, except the words that start with &nbsp or &gt. Those should be ignored. So the result should be: bye earth, &nbsp;hello &gt;world, bye earth! Tried to this with str.replace(/(?!\&nbsp;)hello/gi,'bye')); But it doesn't work.

  • Alter Regular Expression to Return 2 Values Instead of 3 from userAgent String

    - by Jay
I've taken a regular expression from jQuery to detect if a browser's engine is WebKit and gets it's version number, it returns 3 values extracted from the userAgent string: webkit/….…, webkit and ….… [“….…” being the version number]. I would like the regular expression to return just 2 values: webkit and ….…. I'm rubbish at regular expressions, so please can you give an explanation of the expression with your answer. The regular expression I'm currently working with and wish to improve is: /(webkit)[\/]([\w.]+)/. I appreciate all your help, thanks in advance!

  • How can I construct and parse a JSON string in Scala / Lift

    - by David Carlson
I am using JsonResponse to send some JSON to the client. To test that I am sending the correct response it seemed natural to me to parse the resulting JSON and validate against a data structure rather than comparing substrings. But for some reason I am unable to parse the JSON I just constructed: def tryToParse = { val jsObj :JsObj = JsObj(("foo", "bar")); // 1) val jsObjStr :String = jsObj.toJsCmd // 2) jsObjStr is: "{'foo': 'bar'}" val result = JSON.parseFull(jsObjStr) // 3) result is: None // the problem seems to be caused by the quotes: val works = JSON.parseFull("{\"foo\" : \"bar\"}") // 4) result is: Some(Map(foo -> bar)) val doesntWork = JSON.parseFull("{'foo' : 'bar'}") // 5) result is: None } How do I programmatically construct a valid JSON message in Scala/Lift that can also be parsed again?

  • Concatenate String to Evernote Markup Language (ENML) in python

    - by Adam the Mediocre
I am looking to add a string containing the user's text input to the note.content of my note. After reading, I have found how to add resources, but I don't want the resource to be an attachment, I want it to be the actual text. Here is some of the code: title= self.textEditTitle.text() body= self.textEditBody.text() auth_token = "secret stuff!" client = EvernoteClient(token=auth_token, sandbox=True) note_store = client.get_note_store() nBody = "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>" nBody += "<!DOCTYPE en-note SYSTEM \"http://xml.evernote.com/pub/enml2.dtd\">" nBody += "<en-note>%s</en-note>" % body note = Types.Note() note.title = title note.content= nBody Any advice would be great, as I'm just starting out with this api and it looks like it's full of potential once I figure it out! Here is what I have been mostly reading from: http://dev.evernote.com/documentation/cloud/chapters/ENML.php

  • How to extract a couple marked strings from a line (python)

    - by GoJian
My Friends, I spent quite some time on this one... but cannot yet figure out a better way to do it. I am coding in python, by the way. So, here is a line of text in a file I am working with, for example: "ref|ZP_01631227.1| 3-dehydroquinate synthase [Nodularia spumigena CCY9414]..." How can I extract the two strings "ZP_01631227.1" and "Nodularia spumigena CCY9414" from the line? The pairs of "| |" and brackets are like markers so we know we want to get the strings in between the two... I guess I can probably loop over all the characters in the line and do it the hard way. It just takes so much time... Wondering if there is a python library or other smart ways to do it nicely? Thanks to all!

  • Excel macro to change external data query connections - e.g. point from one database to another

    - by Rory
I'm looking for a macro/vbs to update all the external data query connections to point at a different server or database. This is a pain to do manually and in versions of Excel before 2007 it sometimes seems impossible to do manually. Anyone have a sample? I see there are different types of connections 'OLEDB' and 'ODBC', so I guess I need to deal with different formats of connection strings?

  • jquery textarea custom tags replacement

    - by Tim
Hi all, I'm basically trying to create my own tags - and replace them with the right HTML tags. So {B} {/B} would turn into <b> </b> I have only got so far with this, here: http://www.nacremedia.com/text2.htm Use the [B] button to bold stuff the current selection... it creates two bold tags and one closing for some reason. I'm so close! But I just need a bit of direction to get the final bugs out - can anyone please help?? Also, if there is a better way of doing this altogether then I am more than welcome to new ideas.

  • convert an int to list of individual digitals more faster?

    - by user478514
    All, I want define an int(987654321) <= [9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1] convertor, if the length of int number < 9, for example 10 the list will be [0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1,0] , and if the length 9, for example 9987654321 , the list will be [9, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1] >>> i 987654321 >>> l [9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1] >>> z = [0]*(len(unit) - len(str(l))) >>> z.extend(l) >>> l = z >>> unit [100000000, 10000000, 1000000, 100000, 10000, 1000, 100, 10, 1] >>> sum([x*y for x,y in zip(l, unit)]) 987654321 >>> int("".join([str(x) for x in l])) 987654321 >>> l1 = [int(x) for x in str(i)] >>> z = [0]*(len(unit) - len(str(l1))) >>> z.extend(l1) >>> l1 = z >>> l1 [9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1] >>> a = [i//x for x in unit] >>> b = [a[x] - a[x-1]*10 for x in range(9)] >>> if len(b) = len(a): b[0] = a[0] # fix the a[-1] issue >>> b [9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1] I tested above solutions but found those may not faster/simple enough than I want and may have a length related bug inside, anyone may share me a better solution for this kinds convertion? Thanks!
