What my requirement was to disaplay only the <title> from xml information as nodes in tree view. But when i did the following coding its displaying all the values as nodes like "catalog" as rootnode, book as parent node for all then author,title,genre etc as nodes but i want only root node catalogue and title as nodes not even book.   • How to load secure S3 images into Flex with temporary URLs

    I have some secure images on S3 that I need to load into Flex. I was expecting to be able to do this using signed temporary URLs but can't get it working. I know the URLs I'm generating are correct, because they load fine in my browsers' address bar. Moreover, Flex has no problem loading my images with a non-signed url when they are public, but as soon as I try signing the urls all the images fail, whether public or not. I've tried image.source = signedURL, image.load(signedURL), etc. If I try loading the file with URLLoader/URLStream, it looks like I'm getting the data OK, but I'm not sure how to translate those results to an Image control. Is this just an issue with the Image control not being able to recognize signed urls? Do I have to load the image from a byte array? What would that look like?

The catch is that every user should have their own customized login page, but the actual application is the same for everyone, and needs to be in a central location. What is the most secure way of doing this? Would it make more sense to have a copy of the application for each user, and keep the database centralized?   • Shipping GNU/Linux Firefox plugin with shared libraries (for installation with no root access)

    The application is a Firefox plugin (loaded from $HOME/.mozilla/plugins), so wrapper script that sets LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not an easy option. RPATH, as far as I know, cannot refer to $HOME and can be only absolue path. Firefox tries to dlopen it's plugin from ~/.mozilla/plugins but fails (because it depends on shared libraries installed somewhere in the user home directory). Modifying Firefox menu item to provide a wrapper (with LD_LIBRARY_PATH) around Firefox is too hacky. What should installer script do (without root access) to make standard firefox load plug-ins that depends on out shared library? Should I just try to make embed everything into that .so to remove dependencies? Should I try to make installer script to finish linking or patch RPATH during the installation phase?

  • Problem with tcp server when converting to service

    Hello lads, I'm working on monitoring some object (cdr-packets). I'm setting up a tcp-server and am listening on port 50043 for the packages. The program as a console application is working just fine, my server is working like it should and i'm receiving the packets. When i try to use it as a service, i cannot seem to get a client connected to my server. Is there something i need to change to deploy this as a service?     I was wondering if someone can show me a good way to handle errors in my PHP app, that i am also easily able to reuse in my codes. The way i use it is that if i encounter an error, i push a new error key/value to the $errors array holder, something like the following: if (strlen($username) < 3) { $errors['username'] = "usernames cannot be less then 3 characters."; } This all works great and all, But i wondering if some one has a better approach for this? with classes? i don't think i want to use Exceptions with try/catch seems like an overkill to me. I'm planning to make a new app, and i'll be getting my hands wet with OOP alot, though i have already made apps using OOP but this time i'm planning to go even deeper and use OOP approach more extensively.     I have a jython servlet as part of a large application running in tomcat5. I tested a few Spring Framework classes and create the objects in the Jython servlet. When I try to create objects of classes in the application I catch an Exception message "No visible constructors for class". These java classes do have a public constructor class, such as: public SchoolImpl() { } I create the object in python: from com.dc.sports.entity import SchoolImpl ... school = SchoolImpl() What am I doing wrong?

  • Has anyone managed to get jdotnetservices working on Android ?

    I am trying to use jdotnetservices (http://www.jdotnetservices.com/), which is a java SDK for Windows Azure AppFabric, in an Android application. I have had to make some tweaks but only minor ones because jdotnetservices is written to target Java 1.6 and Android uses 1.5. I can get it to compile and run OK but I'm getting errors when I try to access the service bus ACS. Specifically, if I try to get a token from the service bus ACS I get this : Hostname mysolution-sb.accesscontrol.windows.net was not verified. Can anyone give me some pointers as to why this might be ? I can browse to the url of the ACS from Android : https://mysolution-sb.accesscontrol.windows.net/wrapv0.9 which gives me a certificate error, could this be why ? Any way round this ?

  • Problem w/ Paperclip, MacPorts, ImageMagick & Snow Leopard

    I'm attempting to use ImageMagick along w/ Paperclip to handle the images on my rails app. The problem is whenever I try to upload an image I get the following in the terminal: [paperclip] An error was received while processing: #<Paperclip::NotIdentifiedByImageMagickError: /var/folders/go/goZ833AaFaqyvv5RnLqQmE+++TM/-Tmp-/stream20110107-6356-1xfs9j1-0.jpg is not recognized by the 'identify' command.> I have added the following to my environments/development.rb file: Paperclip.options[:command_path] = "/usr/local/bin" If I try to interact w/ ImageMagick in the terminal by using "convert" or something similar I get: dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libltdl.7.dylib Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/convert Reason: Incompatible library version: convert requires version 10.0.0 or later, but libltdl.7.dylib provides version 9.0.0 Trace/BPT trap I've already tried updating everything w/ port but the problem still persists. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

    I'm trying to transfer a site from one hosting company to another. I was using 000webhost until the client had hosting and a domain. Now that the client has their domain and hosting, using FatCow.com, I can not for the life of me, debug my PHP code. I'm not getting any errors. I have a successful DB connection. If you procedurally display data, it works, but when I try to use my original objects, something is breaking and just returns "0:". I have all errors on.     I work with Zend Framework a lot and I just took a peek at Kohana, and it strikes me as odd that this is a typical scenario in these frameworks: throw Some_Componenents_Exception( 'invalid argument' ); Where I believe this wouldn't be mouch more useful: throw Some_Components_InvalidArgumentException( 'whatever discription' ); Because it is easier to catch. I suspect, but immediately admit it's prejudiced, that the former practice is common in the PHP community. Should we, the PHP community, start using these descriptive types of expections more?

  • NullPointerException when trying to run an applet of multiple classes

    I'm trying to display an applet in an html page. I've had success doing this in the past, but now that I have more than one class in the applet, I seem to get an error every time I try to load the applet in an html page. For a bit, I was writing the html page by hand, but then I realized the applet viewer in netbeans (the IDE I'm coding in) created an html page for you, which is the same as the one I was coding. The application runs error-free when in the applet viewer, but the following message is displayed when I try to run it in the html page: java.lang.NullPointerException at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager.findAppletJDKLevel(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager$AppletExecutionRunnable.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException I tested another small, one class applet and it ran fine in the html page under the same conditions. You can try being explicit like this: var sp:CMutablePointer<MusicSequence>=nil status=NewMusicSequence(sp) But then you get a bad access exception when you set sp to nil. If you don't set sp, you get an "error: variable 'sp' used before being initialized" Here's the reference.

    Given a method.. public ActionResult Method() { // program logic if(condition) { // external library // external library returns an ActionResult } return View(viewname); } I cannot control the return type or method of the external library. I want to catch its results and handle that in a dialog on the page - but I cannot figure out how to get back to the page to execute the jQuery that would be responsible for it. Any ideas?
