    Im using the plone cms and am having trouble with a python script. I get a name error "the global name 'open' is not defined". When i put the code in a seperate python script it works fine and the information is being passed to the python script becuase i can print the query.     I have a code to concatenate strings. However, for some reason, the final string is not a combination of the required strings. Consider the following code : //cusEmail is of type String[] String toList = ""; for(i=0; i < cusEmail.length - 1; i++) { toList.concat(cusEmail[i]); toList.concat("; "); System.out.println(cusEmail[i]); } toList.concat(cusEmail[i]); System.out.println(toList); The first sout statement displays the strings in cusEmail[i] correctly. However, once concatenated, the second sout displays a blank / empty. Any reason for this? Am i concatenating it correctly?

    Hello, I am trying to implement my own transport layer protocol in Linux for an experiment. I am going to use socket interface and add my protocol using sock_register. For the proto_ops i can see that the parameters for the sendmsg and recvmsg are (struct kiocb *iocb, struct socket *sock, struct msghdr *msg, size_t len, int flags). But there are three types of user api's send, sendto, sendmsg. Of these three only sendmsg contains a parameter for msghdr. I find that the other two api's are incompatible with the parameters supplied by the kernel to my kernel-space sendmsg function. So what happens when we use send and sendto user-space api's? So far I havent got as far as dealing with the count as I'm getting a huge number of results with some 250+ per customer. I assume this is to do with the way I'm joining tables. Schema wise the booking_record table contains a tour reference code, which links to tour_hotel which then contains a hotelcode which links to hotelrecord. This hotelrecord table contains the hotelgroup. The client table is joined to the booking_record via a booking reference and a client may have many bookings. If anyone could suggest a way for me to do this I'd be very grateful and hopefully learn enough to do it myself next time! I've been scratching my head over this one for a few hours now!     So, I have a regex that searches for HTML tags and modifies them slightly. It's working great, but I need to do something special with the last closing HTML tag I find. Not sure of the best way to do this. I'm thinking some sort of reverse reg ex, but haven't found a way to do that. Here's my code so far: $html = "<div id="test"><p style="hello_world">This is a test.</p></div>"; $pattern = array('/<([A-Z][A-Z0-9]*)(\b[^>]*)>/i'); $replace = array('<tag>'); $html = preg_replace($pattern,$replace,$html); // Outputs: <tag><tag>This is a test</p></div> I'd like to replace the last occurance of "" with something special, say for example, "".   • Need help with video streaming with web-embedded Windows Media Player Component

    Hello, I need to be able to play a .wmv video in a Windows Media Player component on a web page starting at a particular specified point in the video right away. I can embed the component and play the video. The problem is that even if I specify the location with The PARAM “currentPosition”, the video starts to play from the beginning. This appears to be because the requested position in the video has not been loaded yet. If I wait until the video has been loaded to the requested position and refresh the page, it will then play from the requested position. It seems that the video must start loading from the requested position in order to start right away. If this is the correct way, how would I go about doing it? If it is not, what is the proper way to do it? It can obviously be done, because YouTube’s players work like this. Thank you,

  • Tricky MySQL Query for messaging system in Rails - Please Help

    Hi, I'm writing a facebook style messaging system for a Rails App and I'm having trouble selecting the Messages for the inbox (with will_paginate). The messages are organized in threads, in the inbox the most recent message of a thread will appear with a link to it's thread. The thread is organized via a parent_id 1-n relationship with itself. So far I'm using something like this: class Message < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :sender, :class_name => 'User', :foreign_key => "sender_id" belongs_to :recipient, :class_name => 'User', :foreign_key => "recipient_id" has_many :children, :class_name => "Message", :foreign_key => "parent_id" belongs_to :thread, :class_name => "Message", :foreign_key => "parent_id" end class MessagesController < ApplicationController def inbox @messages = current_user.received_messages.paginate :page => params[:page], :per_page => 10, :order => "created_at DESC" end end That gives me all the messages, but for one thread the thread itself and the most recent message will appear (and not only the most recent message). I can also not use the GROUP BY clause, because for the thread itself (the parent so to say) the parent_id = nil of course. Anyone got an idea on how to solve this in an elegant way? I already thought about adding the parent_id to the parent itself and then group by parent_id, but I'm not sure if that works. Thanks

    hi I'm quite new to mysql and I'm trying to figure out how to use triggers. what I'm trying to do: I have 2 tables, max and sub_max, when I insert a new row to sub_max I want to check if the SUM of the values with the same foreign_key as the new row are less than the value in the max table.     Hi, I'm writing a simple test program to pass multidimensional arrays. I've been struggling to get the signature of the callee function. void p(int (*s)[100], int n) { ... } In the code I have: int s1[10][100], s2[10][1000]; p(s1, 100); This code appears to work, but it's not what I intended. I want to the function p to be oblivious whether the range of values is 100 or 1000, but it should know there are 10 pointers. I tried as a first attempt: void p(int (*s)[10], int n) // n = # elements in the range of the array and also: void p(int **s, int n) // n = # of elements in the range of the array But to no avail can I seem to get this correct. I don't want to hardcode the 100 or 1000, but instead pass it in, but there will always be 10 arrays. Obviously, I want to avoid having to declare the function: void p(int *s1, int *s2, int *s3, ..., int *s10, int n) FYI, I'm looking at the answers to a similar question but still confused.

    Hi, I'm using Java Swing and I have the following problem: I have a class TnaiPanel that extends JPanel. In this class I am creating 3 components and then lay them out in a horizontal line using a BoxLayout. Also, I have a class TnaimDinamimPanel that also extends JPanel. This class contains multiple occurances of TnaiPanel, layed out vertically using a BoxLayout. Also, I have a class MainFrame that extends JFrame. This frame contains a menu-bar and one main panel. The main panel can change (when choosing a certain menu-item, I create a new panel and set it to show as the main panel of the frame). Now, for some reason I get "BoxLayout can't be shared" when I add the newly created TnaimDinamimPanel to the components of the frame. I don't mind using different layout objects. The result I want to get is a sort of "table" of components, where each TnaiPanel will have fixed component sizes and spacing, essentially serving the role os a "row" in the "table". Thanks, Malki.
