    I'm trying to run 'dali' a highcharts exporter from nodejs on my Mac under OSX Mountain Lion I'm getting the following error: module.js:485 process.dlopen(filename, module.exports); ^ Error: dlopen(/Users/greg/node_modules/daemon/lib/daemon.v0.8.8.node, 1): no suitable image found. Did find: /Users/greg/node_modules/daemon/lib/daemon.v0.8.8.node: mach-o, but wrong architecture at Object.Module._extensions..node (module.js:485:11) at Module.load (module.js:356:32) at Function.Module._load (module.js:312:12) at Module.require (module.js:362:17) at require (module.js:378:17) at Object.<anonymous> (/Users/greg/node_modules/daemon/lib/daemon.js:12:11) at Module._compile (module.js:449:26) at Object.Module._extensions..js (module.js:467:10) at Module.load (module.js:356:32) at Function.Module._load (module.js:312:12) The key part is: "wrong architecture" If I run: lipo -info /Users/greg/node_modules/daemon/lib/daemon.v0.8.8.node It returns: Non-fat file: /Users/greg/node_modules/daemon/lib/daemon.v0.8.8.node is architecture: i386 I'm guessing a x64 version is requried. How do I get and install the 64 bit version of this lib?

    I am using Perl running in user space (not installed via root) and installing modules via the command-line cpan. I would like to know if there is a simple way to remove a module without having to do a lot of work deleting individual files. I searched for this question on the internet and found some answers, but the answers I've found seem to either discuss using the Perl package manager (specific for Microsoft Windows), otherwise operating-system specific (BSDpan), suggesting using cpanplus (which I've had several bad experiences with), or ended by pointing to a dead link as follows: http://www.cpan.org/misc/cpan-faq.html#How_delete_Perl_modules. My question is specifically whether there is a clean way to remove a module installed via cpan.

  • How divide a GWT module into some separate javascript files ?

    Hi, I've a big GWT module which comprised of many java classes (& of course it's impossible to break it down into several modules). My GWT application consists of some forms, but the users usually work only with a few of them, anyway they should be abale to open any form as they need. Now my problem its that gwt generates a big js file that will load each time, but most of its content may never use! Is there any way to break the big js module file into several smaller files(for example, one file for each class) & gwt load them automatically as needed ?

  • How does one inject variables into page templates from a custom Drupal module?

    We've created a custom module for organizing and publishing our newsletter content. The issue I'm running into now -- and I'm new to theming and Drupal module development, so it could just be a knowledge issue as opposed to a Drupal issue -- is how to get each newsletter themed. At this point the URL structure of our newsletter will be: /newsletters/{newsletter-name}/{edition-name}/{issue-date} which means that we can create template files in our theme using filenames like page-newsletters-{newsletter-name}-{edition-name}.tpl.php, which is great. The one issue I'm running into is that all of the content comes through in the $content variable of the theme. I'd like to have it come through as different variables (so that I can, inside the theme, place certain content in certain areas.) Is there a proper way for doing this?

  • Getting a PasteScript error when I try to serve an existing Pylons app.

    I'm trying to serve an existing Python 2.5 Pylons application on OS X Snow Leopard. I uploaded the sqlite3 module files, added the directory to sys.path, but I get the following error when I try to import it: Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in ? Any suggestions? I am working in a limited environment; I don't have access to GCC, among other things.

    I’m having a lot of trouble understanding how to create a module that will add an extra button to the shopping cart page. I found lots of info on payment modules and stand-a-lone page modules, but nothing for this. I simply need to add a button underneath the regular “Checkout” button that can post item data to another website. I’ve created a module but can’t get Magento to recognize it and display the button on that spot. Any help would be greatly appreciated, even just sending me to an existing tutorial that I haven’t been able to find. Thanks.

  • Perl date function/module able to understand full unabbreviated months.

    Let's say I read in a string from somewhere that contains a date, and it's date format doesn't abbreviate the month. Is there a module that can handle reading it in, and then outputting it to whichever format I choose? I've taken a quick look through CPAN, and every date module I looked at didn't seem to accommodate an unabbreviated month. Thanks for any help EDIT: As an example, say we have a string like this; "2 February 1988". Now we want to convert it into "1988-02-02" (YYYY-MM-DD).

  • maven test cannot load cross-module resources/properties ?

    I have a maven mantained project with some modules . One module contains one XML file and one parsing class. Second module depends on the first module. There is a class that calls the parsing class in the first module , but maven seems cannot test the class in the second module. Maven test reports : java.lang.NullPointerException at java.util.Properties.loadFromXML(Properties.java:851) at foo.firstModule.Parser.<init>(Parser.java:92) at foo.secondModule.Program.<init>(Program.java:84) In "Parser.java" (in the first module) , it uses Properties and InputStream to read/parse an XML file : InputStream xmlStream = getClass().getResourceAsStream("Data.xml"); Properties properties = new Properties(); properties.loadFromXML(xmlStream); The "data.xml" is located in first module's resources/foo/firstModule directory , and it tests OK in the first module. It seems when testing the second module , maven cannot correctly load the Data.xml in the first module . I thought I can solve the problem by using maven-dependency-plugin:unpack to solve it . In the second module's POM file , I add these snippets : <plugin> <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.1</version> <executions> <execution> <id>data-copying</id> <phase>test-compile</phase> <goals> <goal>unpack</goal> </goals> <configuration> <artifactItems> <artifactItem> <groupId>foo</groupId> <artifactId>firstModule</artifactId> <type>jar</type> <includes>foo/firstModule/Data.xml</includes> <outputDirectory>${project.build.directory}/classes</outputDirectory> </artifactItem> </artifactItems> </configuration> </execution> </executions> </plugin> In this POM file , I try to unpack the first module , and copy the Data.xml to classes/foo/firstModule/ directory , and then run tests. And indeed , it is copied to the right directory , I can find the "Data.xml" file in "target/classes/foo/firstModule" directory. But maven test still complains it cannot read the File (Properties.loadFromXML() throws NPE). I don't know how to solve this problem. I tried other output directory , such as ${project.build.directory}/resources , and ${project.build.directory}/test-classes , but all in vain... Any advices now ? Thanks in advanced.   • Visual web page designer for Django?

    I'm just starting my Django learning so pardon me if any part of this question is off-base. I have done a lot of web searching for information on the equivalent of a visual web page designer for Django and I don't seem to be getting very far. I have experience with Delphi (Object Pascal), C, C++, Python, PHP, Java, and Javascript and have created and maintained several web sites that included MySQL database dependent content. For the longest time I've been using one of the standard WYSIWIG designers to design the actual web pages, with any needed back end programming done via Forms or AJAX calls that call server side PHP scripts. I have grown tired of the quirks, bugs, and other annoyances associated with the program. Also, I find myself hungry for the functionality and reliability a good MVC based framework would provide me so I could really express myself with custom code easily. So I am turning to Django/Python. However, I'm still a junkie for a good WYSIWIG designer for the layout of web pages. I know there are some out there that thrive on opening up a text editor, possibly with some code editor tools to assist, and pounding out pages. But I do adore a drag and drop editor for simple page layout, especially for things like embedded images, tables, buttons, etc. I found a few open source projects on GitHub but they seem to be focused on HTML web forms, not a generic web page editor. So can I get what I want here? The supreme goal would be to find not only a web page editor that creates Django compatible web pages, but if I dare say it, have a design editor that could add Python code stubs to various page elements in the style of the Delph/VCL or VB design editors. Note, I also have the Wing IDE Professional IDE, version 2.0. As a side note, if you know of any really cool, fun, or time-saving Python libraries that are designed for easy integration into Django please tell me about them. -- roschler

  • Execute code every hour

    I need to create a web service that executes every hour. It will be used to review data in a database and add alerts to a table in the same database if certain conditions are met/not met. What we currently have is: We have end devices that use Python to report to an Amazon Web Services (AWS) virtual server. The AWS server takes that information and stores it in a MySQL database. The AWS server is Linux running Django and Apache. I need to be able to have some python code run every hour that verifies the data that has been stored by the end devices. If certain conditions are not met then a record will be added to the alerts table in the database. We originally contracted to have the above setup created. I am new to Python, Django, and Apache. However, I have already made several changes to the Python code that sends and also receives the data from the end devices. I am a coder that is breaking into web programming. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can do this?

The input to the shuffle will always be A[i] = i for i from 0 to N-1 Permutations are produced that are not cycles, but still meet specification 2. The cycles produced by Sattolo's algorithm meet specification 2, but not specification 1 or 3. I've been working at creating an algorithm that meets these specifications, what I came up with was equivalent to Sattolo's algorithm. Does anyone have an algorithm for this problem?

  • Wrong package for Idle-python2.7?

    I'm running python 2.7 in Ubuntu 3.10, and idle (idle-python2.7) has stopped working. Whenever I try to open a file in a editor window, it is blank, though the file does exist and is not empty/blank. Furthermore, it is not possible to close idle after this, except via a terminal kill command. Idle was working fine before. The problem appeared after I installed a number of things, including idlex, various scipy modules and mpmath, but after trying to repair it in several ways, it seems to be caused by Ubuntu's official idle package. I get this error in the terminal when trying to open a file in idle: Exception in Tkinter callback [...lines ommitted for brevity...] File "/usr/lib/python2.7/idlelib/IOBinding.py", line 129, in coding_spec for line in lst: NameError: global name 'lst' is not defined If you look at the code, it looks like an obvious bug: indeed lst is not defined in the function coding_spec. Furthermore, the source file IOBinding.py in http://fossies.org/dox/Python-2.7.5/IOBinding_8py_source.html is different and doesn't show the problem. Thinking that one of the recently packages had overwritten the file somehow, I've tried a number of things, including reinstalling all Python packages from synaptic, but the wrong IOBinding.py is still there. The reason I think the problem lies with the package itself is that I finally did sudo apt-get remove idle, verified that the idlelib directory was empty, and reinstalled with sudo apt-get install idle; but the wrong IOBinding.py file came back again. I can in fact make idle work again by simply replacing lst by str in the code, but to me that's clearly a no-no. I'm not to happy either about trying to replace just that file from the source python distribution, as other files may be wrong. I want to get the right files from the official package.

    I am trying to install Pylucene (pylucene-3.3-3-src.tar.gz) on my ubuntu linux 11.10. I have python 2.7.2. I was able to compile JCC (I think) because I didnt see any error when I installed it.     Hi, My app needs to use PyCurl, so i tried to install it on my Mac but i found a lot of problems and error :( Requirement: First of all i've to say that the version of Python working on my Mac is 32 bit based, because i need to use WxPython, that needs 32 bit Python.   • Troubles with PyDev and external libraries in OS X

    I've successfully installed the latest version of PyDev in my Eclipse (3.5.1) under OS X 10.6.3, with python 2.6.1 I have troubles in making the libraries I have installed work. For example, I'm trying to use the cx_Oracle library, which is perfectly working if called from the python interpeter of from simple scripts made with some text editor.   • How to reduce celeryd memory consumption?

    I'm using celery 2.5.1 with django on a micro ec2 instance with 613mb memory and as such have to keep memory consumption down. Currently I'm using it only for the scheduler "celery beat" as a web interface to cron, though I hope to use it for more in the future. I've noticed it is the biggest consumer of memory on my micro machine even though I have configured the number of workers to one.     Hello World. I'm tasked with reading a poorly formatted binary file and taking in the variables. Although I need to do it in C++ (ROOT, specifically), I've decided to do it in python because python makes sense to me, but my plan is to get it working in python and then tackle re-writing in in C++, so using easy to use python modules won't get me too far later down the road. Basically, I do this: In [5]: some_value Out[5]: '\x00I' In [6]: ''.join([str(ord(i)) for i in some_value]) Out[6]: '073' In [7]: int(''.join([str(ord(i)) for i in some_value])) Out[7]: 73 And I know there has to be a better way. What do you think?

    Hello, I am opening a file which has 100,000 url's. I need to send an http request to each url and print the status code. I am using Python 2.6, and so far looked at the many confusing ways Python implements threading/concurrency. I have even looked at the python concurrence library, but cannot figure out how to write this program correctly. Has anyone come across a similar problem? I guess generally I need to know how to perform thousands of tasks in Python as fast as possible - I suppose that means 'concurrently'. Thank you, Igor

    I have a RHEL 5 workstation with 2 nvidia Quadro FX4500 cards, with one display attached to each card. After doing a clean install of RHEL 5.5, the second display doesnt work (it worked ok in RHEL 5.2). Neither separate X screens nor Xinerama are working. The kernel version is 2.6.18-194.el5 I've tried nvidia drivers 185.18.36 (the ones that i was using on 5.2) and the latest 260.19.36 and neither works. I use python-webkit because my app load a form on the GUI (for vote, comments and send more data) and I need post all these data with a POST request and load the html result send for the server to my GUI app with python-webkit.   • python NameError: name '<anything>' is not defined (but it is!)

    Note: Solved. It turned out that I was importing a previous version of the same module. It is easy to find similar topics on StackOverflow, where someone ran into a NameError. But most of the questions deal with specific modules and the solution is often to update the module. In my case, I am trying to import a function from a module that I wrote myself. The module is named InfraPy, and it is definitely on sys.path. One particular function (called listToText) in InfraPy returns a NameError, but only when I try to import it into another script. Inside InfraPy, under if __name__=='__main__':, the listToText function works just fine. From InfraPy I can import other functions with no problems. Including from InfraPy import * in my script does not return any errors until I try to use the listToText function. How can this occur? How can importing one particular function return a NameError, while importing all the other functions in the same module works fine? Using python 2.6 on MacOSX 10.6, also encountered the same error running the script on Windows 7, using IronPython 2.6 for .NET 4.0 Thanks. If there are other details you think would be helpful in solving this, I'd be happy to provide them. As requested, here is the function definition inside of InfraPy: def listToText(inputList, folder=None, outputName='list.txt'): ''' Creates a text file from a list (with each list item on a separate line). Again, the other functions import fine, they are all defined outside of if __name__=='__main__': in InfraPy.
