How do I get the IBM Host on Demand client to work with Internet Explorer 8?
Or do I have to get a newer version (and where) which is compatible with IE8?
Hi,
I use Palm Treo 750 running Windows mobile 6.1. I don't have GPRS on my mobile. But, I have Broadband connection in my laptop running Windows Vista.
How can I use the PC's internet connection to browse from mobile (either USB or bluetooth)?
I have done this in one of my previous Windows mobiles (Smart Phone 2003 SE).
Thanks in advance guys.

Java works under Firefox but not under IE.
Java applet activated in security settings, activated in add-ons, activated in advanced tab; that's the advice they usually give in forums... I've also deleted my temporary internet files, reinstalled IE8 and it is also set as the default java for IE through the control panel.
IE version:
8.0.6001.18702
Java version: 1.7.0_03.
Windows XP SP3.
Any advice? Thanks :)
Question: In windows, is there a systemwide setting to change the internet explorer homepage ?
So that when a new user is created, the homepage will be the one I set.
Of course the user can change his setting later individually.
I just got this netbook (shown below), even though it was cheap I was thinking I could get somewhere with it. Are there any internet browsers I can download? I know regular Mozilla and IE won't work and I honestly don't even know what it has, all it says is WEB.

Hi ServerFault,
We have here 2 Internet connections coming in. And the intention is to have all services available on our server which should be available externally, to be available through both connections.
Also, one connection should be used as few as possible, except for certain protocols.
How can I achieve this dual connection method?
I have a Cable modem connected to a router (Linksys WRT54G)
I use internet on my Desktop PC using a Wireless Adapter (NETGEAR WG111)
I am using Windows Vista.
I tried few things like
Contacting the ISP
changing USB port for adapter
updating router firmware
tryin out the connection on a laptop
Connecting directly using a LAN cord
Nothing worked..
Anyone with more solutions ??
Is there a program that measures the performance (bandwidth, latency) of my internet connection over time? I'm interested in trends, statistics, etc... I suspect that I'm not getting all that I'm paying for from my ISP.
My internet plan is 512kbps unlimited and I get speed of average 64kbps but at night I used to get speed of 112kbps ..but recently my speed got normal like day time ...as per my view usually at night their is less traffic so I should get good speed like before ...
Due to good speed I download and upload at night and my average download+upload per month is 60gb or 70gb...
Is it that my ISP people putting restriction on my download and uploads..
I am confused.
There is a computer with Internet Explorer 8, Tabs are disabled completely.
When the bookmarks on bookmark toolbar is clicked, they are opened in a new window. The need is; they should open in the current window.
Note that, bookmarks menu works as expected and opens bookmarks in current window, the same is needed on bookmarks toolbar. How can this be achieved ?
I have a home wireless network and two laptops. My primary laptop is normal, and runs Windows 7. My secondary laptop has no wireless capability, and I have no access to the IP settings on my account. How can I access the internet on my secondary computer through my primary computer using a crossover cable or something similar? In other words, how can I make my primary computer produce a connection that my secondary computer will find indistinguishable from normal ethernet?
