  • Outlook body background no-repeat

    - by kylex
    I am sending an Email in HTML format geared toward outlook 2007/2010. I applied a background image to body tag but it does not work. Code as below: <body style="background-image: url('http://example.com/bg.jpg'); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position:top center;"> However if I change the "no-repeat" to "repeat-y no-repeat", it shows the background image but it repeats. Can anyone help me with this?

  • GWT PagingScrollTable ( set a style on a particular cell of the header table )

    - by Mario
    I have a column Definition for each colume that extends AbstractColumnDefinition these columns are put in a DefaultTableDefinition PART OF a PagingScrollTable example: NAME | SIZE | RES | DELETE | this style (AT THE END OF THE PAGE ) is added to the column names if you notice all of them are with a cursor pointer , meaning a hand shows up when i hover above each one. I want to remove the cursor for some cells in the header like delete. HOW DO YOU set/add/remove a style on a particular cell of the header table of a PagingScrollTable? THANK YOU .gwt-ScrollTable .headerTable td { border-left: 1px solid #CCCCCC; border-right: 1px solid #CCCCCC; border-bottom: 1px solid black; vertical-align: bottom; cursor: pointer; }

  • Table is centering by itself?

    - by user146780
    I have a page here: http://animactions.ca/Animactions/accueil.php and it has a right column. When the right column's content is longer than then the main content, the main content centers rather than start at the top despite I defining it in a style not to do so. From my style sheet: .tbsyles { margin: 0px; text-align: justify; width: 200px; border-left-style: solid; border-left-width: 1px; border-left-color: #A8CFE4; padding-left: 30px; height: 100%; line-height: 100%; vertical-align: top; padding-right: 0px; } .tablestylea { width: 900px; margin: 0px; text-align: justify; height: 100%; line-height: 100%; vertical-align: top; padding-right: 0px; } How can I make it so no matter what the length of my right col content the main content page resizes correctly and starts from the top rather than from the center? Thanks

  • The text in a circle.

    - by kalininew
    Prompt how to solve a problem, please. There is a block with the text of the unknown sizes. It is necessary to spin (with pouring inside) round this block that the text was in a circle (without dependence from the sizes of the text). At change of the sizes of the text (at window compression) the circle should vary dynamically. It is necessary to make it in browser. From what to me to start to solve the given problem? Can be methods javascript (on a site it is connected jQuery)? P.S. The decision should be ???????????????.

  • Centre content vertically in a <div>

    - by Ben
    Hi, this is probably very simple to do, but I can't quite get it right. I have a <div> which contains two <a> tags. I would like the <a> tags to be both centred vertically and horizontally. I have set them to centre horizontally by setting the text-align:center; on the div, but can't figure out how to vertically centre them. How would I go about doing this? Thanks.

  • How does one target all divs of any webpage but differentiate them in javascript?

    - by Chaz
    So I am trying to create an extension in Chrome (a prototype for a project that I am doing) that targets all of the <div> tags of any web page, hides them or rather doesn't display them until the user clicks the mouse (further explained below). So typing a url into the browser yields a white page. The person clicks, and the first <div> appears (probably the mast head or menu). The user clicks again and the second <div> appears. I have gotten to the point where I can hide or show all <div>'s (the obvious easy part) but I am not sure how to go about targeting each since every website has different id's for them while still using the <div> tag. This is what I need the most help with. This is part of a grander operation called the Web Crank. It's just a physical crank that controls the speed by which a web page loads. Each time you make one full rotation of the crank, one section (the first <div>) of the web page loads. The faster you go, the quicker the page loads. I hope this is clear enough. I am a newbie when it comes to this, but I have done some minor coding in the past and it's not such a big deal. Thanks for your help!

Any ideas?

  • What is prefered method to set consistence font-size and line height for website using em?

    - by metal-gear-solid
    What is the best method to set cross-browser consistence typography (font-size and line height) for whole site using em for Fixed width {Width:970px}, centered website? I usually get design from client with multiple font size and line heights at various places in design. for some good reason i still use em without getting nested element problem and font-size inconsistencies in IE and others. then after setting how to manage and update easily ,and how to calculate ems I want to set easily manageable font sizes and I want to set Line height manually (because it can be different for various places in design. And for which things we should define line-height or for which not? How to set font-size and line-height to get consistent result. and if i'm using em for font-sizing then should i also use bottom-margin of h1, p, li etc in em? HTML {} BODY {} P {} a {} ul li a {} ul li ul li a {} p img {float:left} td,th { }

  • Making footer image stick to bottom of web browser or page

    - by Slyphee
    Hello, I know this has been asked alot of times in the past but for the life of me I can't seem to get any of the other solutions to work. What I'm trying to do is to get the footer (which is an image that repeats across the width of the page) to stick to the bottom of the browser when there isn't enough content to naturally push it to the bottom of the page and when there IS enough content to push it to the bottom it does just that. An example is the one at http://www.themaninblue.com/experiment/footerStickAlt/good_example_short.htm which does exactly what I want but I can't get to work either. The code that I've currently got implemented makes the footer stick to a certain section of the page with text going under it. You can see it at sourcectrl.co.uk but its not much to look at. Heres the code for your viewing pleasure. html, body { font: 100% Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; height: 100%; color: #597347; margin: 0; padding: 0; background: #573909; } header { display: block; position: relative; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 66px; background: url(../images/FillerPage_01.gif) repeat-x left bottom; } section { width: 940px; margin: 0 auto; font-size: 1.4em; overflow: auto; min-height: 100%; height: auto !important; height: 100%; margin-bottom: 87px; position: relative; padding-bottom: 90px; } footer { display:block; position: absolute; bottom: 0; width: 100%; height: 87px; background: url(../images/FillerPage_08.gif) repeat-x left bottom; } Sorry if it seems messy! I'd just like to know if I'm heading in the right direction or theres something I'm just not getting? Oh yeah I'm trying to do all of this with the html 5 markup which is why there is no #footer and the like (could this be why none of the solutions work?). If anyone could give me any help or guidance I'd be soooooo grateful.

  • Using one mixin from LESS within another mixin

    - by user1165984
    I am trying to use a mix that calculates the base line height in another that contains my base font styles. Each time I try to compile, I get an error. Here is an example. .lineHeight(@sizeValue){ @remValue: @sizeValue; @pxValue: (@sizeValue * 10); line-height: ~"@{pxValue}px"; line-height: ~"@{remValue}rem"; } .baseFont(@weight: normal, @size: 14px, @lineHeight: (.lineHeight(2.1)) { font-family: @fontFamily; font-size: @size; font-weight: @weight; line-height: @lineHeight; } The error is: TypeError: Cannot call method 'charAt' of undefined at getLocation (/Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/lib/less/parser.js:212:34) at new LessError (/Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/lib/less/parser.js:221:19) at Object.toCSS (/Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/lib/less/parser.js:385:31) at /Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/bin/lessc:107:28 at /Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/lib/less/parser.js:434:40 at /Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/lib/less/parser.js:94:48 at /Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/lib/less/index.js:116:17 at /Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/lib/less/parser.js:434:40 at /Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/lib/less/parser.js:94:48 at /Applications/CodeKit.app/Contents/Resources/engines/less/lib/less/index.js:116:17

  • ASP.Net master page scrollbar question

    - by Stephen Falken
    Like happens to all of us sometimes, I inherited some crappy code I have to fix. We need to center our pages on widescreen machines, so we have a master page layout div like so: .MasterLayout { width:1100px; height: 100%; position:absolute; left:50%; margin-left:-550px; vertical-align:top; } I removed most of the detailed attributes for readability here, but here's how the table for the master page is laid out: <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="width: 100%;"> <tr> <td style="width: 100%" align="center" colspan="2"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2" style="height: 20px; background-color: #333;"> <asp:SiteMapPath/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="width: 86px; height: 650px; background-color: #B5C7DE; margin: 6px;" valign="top"> <asp:Menu /> <asp:SiteMapDataSource /> </td> <td style="background-color:#ffffff; margin:5px; width:1000px;" valign="top"> <asp:contentplaceholder id="ContentPlaceHolder1" runat="server"/> </td> </tr> </table> When resizing the browser window, the horizontal scrollbar only reaches as far as the left edge of the <asp:contentplaceholder/> control, and the <asp:menu/> that's in the 86px wide <td> is hidden. How can I fix this problem? THANKS IN ADVANCE

  • Suggestions for debugging print stylesheets?

    - by Jim Puls
    I've recently been working on a print stylesheet for a website, and I realized that I was at a loss for effective ways to tweak it. It's one thing to have a reload cycle for working on the on-screen layout: change code command-tab reload but that whole process gets much more arduous when you're trying to print: change code command-tab reload print squint at print-preview image open PDF in Preview for further inspection Are there tools I'm missing out on here? Does WebKit's inspector have a "pretend this is paged media" checkbox? Is there some magic that Firebug (shudder) can do?

  • css3 rotate alternative

    - by JCHASE11
    I am using the CSS3 rule, "rotate" to rotate a div containing text. You can see the page here: http://vitaminjdesign.com/v2/socialmedia.html. I am looking for cross browser support for rotating the div; however, this CS3 rule won't work on IE. Is there a jquery option or another javascript solution that will yield the same result, with cross browser compatibility?
