guest blogging, recipricle links & nofollow

When writing a guest blog for a site and in the blog post i write i link back to my self, that counts as an imbound link.
Writing something on my blog, like "have a look at this post i wrote for _" made that a link the links would be recipricle, correct ? thus cancling each other out..
If i was to to make the link back to my article a nofollow link then would i still get the link juice ?
If i write guest blog post and the site want to also write a guest blog on my site later on whats the best way to handle it as wont these both cancel each other out and have no effect ?
