  • Fix a box 250px from top of content with wrapping content

    I'm having trouble left aligning a related links div inside a block of text, exactly 250 pixels from the top of a content area, while retaining word wrapping. I attempted to do this with absolute positioning, but the text in the content area doesn't wrap around the content. I would just fix the related links div in the content, however, this will display on an article page, so I would like for it to be done without placing it in a specific location in the content. Is this possible? If so, can someone help me out with the CSS for this? Example image of desired look & feel... UPDATE: For simplicity, I've added example code.   • Need help with auto-scaffolding template in ASP.NET MVC

    I'm trying to write an auto-scaffolder for Index views. I'd like to be able to pass in a collection of models or view-models (e.g., IQueryable<MyViewModel>) and get back an HTML table that uses the DisplayName attribute for the headings (th elements) and Html.Display(propertyName) for the cells (td elements). Each row should correspond to one item in the collection. So, I'd like to replace var items = (IQueryable<TestProj.ViewModels.TestViewModel>)Model; with var items = (IQueryable<T>)Model; or something to that effect. The <td> elements are not working because the Html in <%= Html.Display(property.DisplayName) %> contains the model for the view, which is a collection of items, not the item itself. Somehow, I need to obtain an HtmlHelper object whose Model property is the current item, but I'm not sure how to do that. How do I solve these two problems?

However, no matter what values I enter in the fields; the result is always: array(2) { ["test"]=> string(0) "" ["action"]=> string(2) "Go" } string(16) "test=&action=Go&" Somehow, the array named test is emptied, the "action" variable does make it through. I've used the Live HTTP Headers extension for Firefox to check whether the POST fields get submitted, and they do. The relevant information from Live HTTP Headers (with a, b and c filled in as values in the textboxes): Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Content-Length: 51 test%5B1%5D=a&test%5B2%5D=b&test%5B3%5D=c&action=Go Does anybody have any idea as to why this is happening? I'm freaking out on this one, it has cost me so much time already... EDIT: We've tried this on different servers, on Windows boxes it does work, on the Ubuntu server with PHP version 5.2.4 (with Suhosin), it doesn't. It even works on a different server, also with Ubuntu and the same PHP version, also with Suhosin installed.

I'm new to iPhone development, but I'm assuming this is the correct and typical sequence. However, as soon as I changed the RootViewController code and set it as a subclass of UIViewController (instead of UITableViewController by default), and made the respective adjustments in Interface Builder, suddenly the RootViewController:viewDidLoad is being called before the application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions method. I need to get it back to the way it was working before because, as you can see in the code, the viewDidLoad method depends on didFinishLauchingWithOptions method to execute so it can set the rootViewController's managedObjectContext that it uses to perform the fetch request.     I am using Adobe Flash Builder 4. I've run into this issue with my latest project, but I was able to re-create it with an almost empty project. Here is what I've done. Created a new Flex Project Created a locale/en_US folder within this project. Added a class that extends SparkDownloadProgressBar. All this class does is attempt to create a Label. When I try to debug this application, I get the following error.   • Can you add a UITableViewController's TableView to another View?

    I've inserted a UITableViewController and it's corresponding UITableView into a simple IB document. The goal is to include the UITableView inside of a parent UIWindow (or UIView) with other "stuff" (anything really) adorning the table. Build a working subclass of UITableViewController filled with data Customize the UTableView and it's cells including tap targets Add the newly created UITableViewController into an IB document Drag the UITableView out of the UITableViewController and into the main UIView Wire up the UITableViewController to the UITableView Note: adding the UITableViewController in code results in the same problem When running the app in the iPhone emulator or on a device the table displays correctly, but crashes the first time you try and interact with it. A scroll, a tap, anything crashes the app. This seems to be a delegate problem, like the UITableView doesn't know how to communicate back to the UITableViewController, but I have no idea how to correct the problem. So far I have been able to get by by customizing the tableHeaderView to get layouts that suffice, but I'd really prefer to have the other technique work.

    Hello everybody. I am bussy with a Flex Project with a data services. Flash builder installed Zend Framework with Zend_Amf. When i run the project i get the error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed. With chalers i say that Zend_Amf give the error: AMF data is incomplete (0 bytes of 0 bytes). Please check the recording limits in the Recording Settings. I don't know what the problem means. I have searched on google, but i haven't found a good result.   • Cocoa Core data: cannot save Created Items in NSTableview

    Hello, I'm am a beginner in mac os x development and am trying to get started with all this. Here is my problem : I've create a non-document based cocoa app using core data as storage. I've added an entity and attributes to the xdatamodel. In IB i've created an NSArrayController and linked it properly. I've created an nstableview binded to the nsarraycontroller. Next I added a button linked to nsarraycontroller with the " add: " method. When I try it out, I can add and edit the items in the table. Here comes the problem: Core data is supposed to save everything automatically, but to make sure i linked the "save" button in the menu to the appdelegate and to the " file's owner" , first responder, application... everything possible ( with both " save :" and " saveaction:" methods ). And still it doesn't save when clicking save: when I restart the cell created ( and renamed ) are gone. And also, I didn't even edit the source code yet; core data for such simple tasks is supposed to only need Interface builder. Please help me for this, I haven't found any threads resolving this problem. Thank you in advance.

  • FlashBuilder 4 and Zend Framework error

    I am trying to use adobe flash builder 4 with a php service. I had it set up an older macbook running leopard, but just tried to set it up on my new laptop running snow leopard. I did all the same steps.. set the Flex Server to be PHP, set the web root and url. Then I go to Data-Connect To PHP and point it to a php file I have in my web root. It says it needs to install Zend, and claims it does so successfully, but then when I try to continue, I get an error. I don't understand.. this same setup works on my older laptop. My websites content box (The green wooden backgrounded box with content inside) is moved slightly over to the left making a space between the actual container and the content box... However, now I'm transitioning to using Interface Builder as much as possible (wish I had done that before, was always on my back-list). Apple is recommending against having many view controllers being simultaneously active in iPhone apps, with a couple of well-known exceptions. I've never fully understood why it should be bad to have different parts of the interface belong to different controllers, if they have no interdependent functionality at all. Does having multiple controllers risk messing up the responder chain, or is there some other reason that it's not recommended, except for the fact that it's usually not needed? What I want to be able to do is design reusable views and controls in IB, but since a nib is not associated with a view, but with a view controller, it seems I'd have to have different parts of the screen be connected to different controllers. I know it's possible to have other objects than view controllers being instantiated from nibs. Should I look into how to create my own alternative more light-weight controllers (that could be sub-controllers of a UIViewController) which could be instantiated from nibs?

  • Why doesn't IB see my IBAction?

    I've been staring at this for way too long. There's nothing fancy happening here, and I've done this dozens of times, yet Interface Builder steadfastly refuses to provide me an action target for -(IBAction)slideDirections. I'm at the point where I'm willing to post publicly and feel stupid. So let 'er rip.   • NSSegmentedControl -selectedSegment always returns 0

    I have an NSSegmentedControl with two segments set to "Select None" mode in Interface Builder. No matter what I try, I can't get -selectedSegment to return anything but 0, even though segment 0 is even disabled by default and can't possibly be selected.   • OnConnect event not firing when using TClientSocket inside a TThread on non-blocking mode

    I am trying to make use of Borlands TClientSocket component in non-blocking mode inside a multithreaded C++ Windows application. I am creating multiple threads (classes derived from TThread), each of which creates its own TClientSocket object. I then assign member functions of the thread class to act as event handlers for the OnConnect, OnDisconnect and OnSocketError events of the socket. The problem I am having here is that whenever I call the TClientSocket::Open() function from within the TThread::Execute() function, the OnConnect event never fires. However, When I call the Open() function from the VCL thread prior to the TThread::Execute() function getting called, all of the events fire and I can use the thread-socket combination as I would like. Now I have not read anything in documentation that says that TClientSocket should not be used in non-blocking mode when used inside a thread, but it appears to me that there is perhaps something wrong conceptually in the way I am trying to use this class. Borland documentation is quite poor on the subject and these components have now been deprecated so reliable information is hard to come by. Despite being deprecated I have to use them as there is no alternative in the Builder 6 package I have. Can anyone please advise me if there is a right/wrong way to use TThread and a non-blocking TClientSocket in combination. I have never had problems using it as part of the VCL thread and never had problems using TServerSocket before and I really cannot understand why some events are not firing.
