  • C# Assembly.GetTypes() - ReflectionTypeLoadException

    We implement a plugin framework for our application and load plugin assemblies using Assembly.Loadfrom. We then use GetTypes() and further examine the types with each plugin file for supported Interfaces. A path for the plugins is provided by the user and we cycle through each of the files in the folder to see if it (the plugin) supports our plugin interface. If it does, we create an instance, if not we move onto the next file. We build two versions of software from the one code base (appA_1 and appA_2). Loading the plugins works well when the plugins are loaded by the application that was built at the same time as the plugin file. However if we build appA_2 and point to the plugin folder of appA_1, we get an exception when GetTypes() is called. A basic version of our code is; var pluginAssembly = Assembly.LoadFrom(FileName); foreach (var pluginType in pluginAssembly.GetTypes()) { We get a "ReflectionTypeLoadException" exception. This is concerning because we want our application to be able to load the types of any plugin, built by anyone. Is there something we are missing?

    I've tried to build Tycho now for a couple of hours and just can't get it to work. I've followed these instructions: https://docs.sonatype.org/display/TYCHO/BuildingTycho So, I've downloaded Eclipse 3.6RC2 and Delta-packs linked from this instruction (is it for 3.5 only?): http:// (remove space) aniefer.blogspot.com/2009/06/using-deltapack-in-eclipse-35.html I've added the DeltaPack to the TargetPlatform inside of the Eclipse-installation. I've installed Maven: Apache Maven 3.0-beta-1 (r935667; 2010-04-19 19:00:39+0200) I can run the first bootstrap of the build, but the second fails: mvn clean install -e -V -Pbootstrap-2 -Dtycho.targetPlatform=$TYCHO_TARGET_PLATFORM ERROR] Internal error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not resolve plugin org.eclipse.core.net.linux.x86_null -> [Help 1] I've tried different stuff, I built an older revision against 3.5 as in this blogpost: http:// (remove space) divby0.blogspot.com/2010/03/im-in-love-with-tycho-08-and-maven-3.html and that actually built a running maven, but that version then can't find the tycho plugin: org.apache.maven.plugin.version.PluginVersionResolutionException: Error resolving version for plugin 'org.codehaus.tycho:maven-tycho-plugin' from the repositories [local (/Users/viktor/.m2/repository), central (http://repo1.maven.org/maven2)]: Plugin not found in any plugin repository I thought that the point was that the plugin was going to build in when I had built a Tycho-dist…?   • Setting up magic routes for plugins in CakePHP 1.3?

    I'm working on upgrading my project from CakePHP 1.2 to 1.3. In the process, it seems that the "magic" routing for plugins by which a controller name (e.g.: "ForumsController") matching the plugin name (e.g.: "forums") no longer automatically routes to the root of the plugin URL (e.g.: "www.example.com/forums" pointing to plugin "forums", controller "forums", action "index"). The error message given is as follows: Error: ForumsController could not be found. Error: Create the class ForumsController below in file: app/controllers/forums_controller.php <?php class ForumsController extends AppController { var $name = 'Forums'; } ?> In fact, even if I navigate to "www.example.com/forums/forums" or "www.example.com/forums/forums/index", I get the same exact error. Do I need to explicitly set up routes to every single plugin I use? This seems to destroy a lot of the magic I like about CakePHP. I've only found that doing the following works: Router::connect('/forums/:action/*', array('plugin' => 'forums', 'controller' => 'forums')); Router::connect('/forums', array('plugin' => 'forums', 'controller' => 'forums', 'action' => 'index')); Setting up 2 routes for every single plugin seems like overkill, does it not? Is there a better solution that will cover all my plugins, or at least reduce the number of routes I need to set up for each plugin?

    I'm trying to play music through Ventrilo and currently I use Virtual Audio Cable. The way it works is that in foobar2000 (a music playing program) I set the output device in preferences to Virtual Audio Cable. Then in Ventrilo I log in to another name and set the input device to Virtual Audio Cable. This routes the music through the Virtual Audio Cable and allows me to play the music through Ventrilo. However, I would also like to change the output device for Firefox (or any other browser) or "Plugin Container for Firefix" to Virtual Audio Cable so that I could play music from Pandora or YouTube on to Ventrilo. Unfortunately I could not find an option for this anywhere.

    I'm not sure if this is a stackoverflow question or serverfault but here goes: I have an Ubuntu 10.04 file server (Samba/FTP/HTTP) and I would like to have the ability to give users the ability to change their password to the server using their web browser. I've written a similar script before using PHP and a mess of exec but I believe that isn't secure because it can be listened to by someone looking at the list of processes on the server. Is there some kind of plugin (PHP or Python or other) that can do this easily? I rather not use something like webmin as it's overkill for this.

  • Django: What's an awesome plugin to maintain images in the admin?

    I have an articles entry model and I have an excerpt and description field. If a user wants to post an image then I have a separate ImageField which has the default standard file browser. I've tried using django-filebrowser but I don't like the fact that it requires django-grappelli nor do I necessarily want a flash upload utility - can anyone recommend a tool where I can manage image uploads, and basically replace the file browse provided by django with an imagepicking browser? In the future I'd probably want it to handle image resizing and specify default image sizes for certain article types. Edit: I'm trying out adminfiles now but I'm having issues installing it. I grabbed it and added it to my python path, added it to INSTALLED_APPS, created the databases for it, uploaded an image.     I am trying to run Protovis javascript from a Java program: ScriptEngineManager factory = new ScriptEngineManager(); ScriptEngine engine = factory.getEngineByName("JavaScript"); engine.eval(new java.io.FileReader("protovis-d3.1.js")); In order to run this, the JavaScript engine needs to have all the context of a web browser. The best option for this seems to be envjs. Unfortunately it seems that the version of Rhino included in the JVM isn't up to date and doesn't include everything that's necessary for envjs. Has anyone had any success working with a browser context from javax.script.

  • TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 missing repository browser in Branch/Tag "To URL" dialog?

    It seems that in TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 (on Windows), when you click the "To URL..." button in the Branch/Tag dialog, it now pops up a generic "browse for folders" dialog. It used to pop up a Repository Browser. Displaying a regular folder browser isn't much use, since you can't navigate to any of the tags/branches via the file system. Does anyone know if this is a regression or a deliberate change? Any possible workarounds (other than reverting to 1.6.7, which works fine)? Notes: I am running a repository on the local file system, which may yield different results to one going across a network. I'm definitely using an FSFS repository, so changes to BDB access via file:/// shouldn't apply. The only reference I could find to this problem is here: http://groups.google.com/group/tortoisesvn/browse_thread/thread/f3406d1bad89f1d9.

    I know how to get the scrollTop of a page, I use this simple JS function (code copied around): function GetScrolledTop() { //I never work in IE quirkmode, I always use DOCTYPE as 1st line, so I don't need to test for document.body.scrollTop return self['pageYOffset'] || document.documentElement.scrollTop; } This works and my problem is the following: I tried to add it in the page onload event <body onload="alert(GetScrolledTop());"> On page load I get ZERO (which make sense), but the problem is that I get ZERO even if I scroll the page and then reload it without touching the scrollbar. It seems like the browser does: loads page calls my GetScrolledTop() (so obviously shows ZERO) then scrolls the page to where it was before. Do you know how to get the scolledTop after the step 3? I mean how to get the scrolledTop AFTER the browser scrolled the page? (maybe without using a timer) Thanks!

I clean the project all the time and I don't want to spend 5 min to rebuild the whole site every time I want to look at the test report in my browser. If I type mvn surefire-report:report-only, the generated report is too ugly and barely readable. What I'm looking for is something like ant's JUnitReport task. Is there one available out there already?

What happens is that our user gives his credentials to our website to 3rd party - it can be another website or a mobile application - that performs requests on his behalf. Say there is a form that the user fills out and sends a message. Can I protect this form so that the server processing the submission can tell whether the user has submitted it directly from the browser or not? I don't want to use CAPTCHA for usability reasons. Can I do it with some javascript?

  • Browser tabs creates multuple instances of a sidebar for each tabs. I want only one sidebar for all

    I have a sidebar (iframe). The problem is, if you open a second tab (in the same browser) it creates a new instance of the same sidebar. That means i have now 2 sidebars. In exemple, if i close the sidebar in the first tab, i would like to have it closed in the second tab as well. Is it possible to have only one instance of a sidebar in a browser, so that even if i open a new tab, the sidebar is not affected. (the goal is to interact with evey pages we visit with one sidebar. If anyone need precisions, please ask. I'll be checking for responses every single days.
