After a bunch of animating, adding classes and setting css styles. is there an easy way to reset an element to be back in its original server delivered state?
I am generating tables from classes in .NET and one problem is a class may have a field name key which is a reserved mysql keyword. How do i escape it in a create table statement? (Note: The other problem below is text must be a fixed size to be indexed/unique)
create table if not exists misc_info (
id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTO_INCREMENT NOT NULL,
key TEXT UNIQUE NOT NULL,
value TEXT NOT NULL)ENGINE=INNODB;
I am using SimpleMembership for user login stuff in my web application. I wrote a console that actually access my web application classes to avoid duplicate code. However, since my console application doesn't have anything related to user sessions the Login method doesn't work.
But is there a way to validate a user only using the SimpleMembership? In case i have to do it manually.. how can i do it ?
I need to have a buffered char stream, into which I write in one thread and from which I read in another thread. Right now I'm using PipedReader and PipedWriter for it, but those classes cause a performance problem: PipedReader does a wait(1000) when its internal buffer is empty, which causes my application to lag visibly.
Would there be some library which does the same thing as PipedReader/PipedWriter, but with better performance? Or will I have to implement my own wheels?
I have a multitargeted domain project (SL and .Net 4.0) and with problem with Color and so on I was using #if SILVERLIGHT constructs, but now I need to have for a SL project using my domain project few classes implementing INotifyDataErrorInfo which is not implemented on .Net 4.0 site and I will never use it.
I would be gratefull for advice how to make something like this
public class MyDomainClass: INotifyPropertyChanged, #IF Silverlight INotifyDataErrorInfo
{
im using netbeans to code a web application with symfony.

Hi,
I recently contacted a web host regarding support for external database access to a Microsoft SQL Server database included in a package they offer. They replied saying that it is only possible with an SSH-tunnel.
Is it possible to connect to a SQL Server database in Visual Studio using an SSH-tunnel? It is important for me to be able to access the database from my local machine (for debugging, generating LINQ classes, editing tables, etc).
Or, how should I go about working with their database?
Problem/Task:
Write an interface with one method and two classes that implement this interface.
Now write a main method with an array that holds an instance of each class. Using a for-each loop, invoke the method upon each item.
Is this an interview question? (I'm not sure if the author meant to post this as a question or was looking for an answer to the above.)
Objects with the same set of attributes and methods belongs to the same class?
Can't I declare two identical classes with the same methods and attributes, instanciate them and have "objects with the same set of attributes and methods that belongs to different class"?
This question is not about good practices... It's about the logical value (true or false) of the question on the title.
Hi, Can i pass a_teacher directly into the find? or do i have to compare each of its attributes as i have done here? thanks
a_teacher = Techer.new(:name => "Bob", :age => 30)
self.classes.all(:conditions => ["teacher.name = ? AND teacher.age = ?", a_teacher.name,a_teacher.age], :joins => :teacher)
More specifically, how do you model a functional program, or one developed using the Functional Style (without classes) using a diagram, and not textual representation, is it at all possible and could someone please direct me towards the nearest application that would do this (open source, of free as in beer, if you please)
I'd like a timer class that allows me to call:
.start() .getElapsedTime() .stop() .reset()
Does Java have such a class, or do I need to use my own (which I've already written).
From a best-practice point of view, I should use the Java class libraries classes if they exist, but I'm not sure whether this one does.
Can anyone give me a link to the javadoc for this class, if it exists?
Hy,
I was looking for a software to model an application, because is becoming too big.
Like this:
Class - A
Methods - a, b, c, d, e
Class - B
Methods - a, b, c, d, e
This should be in graphical mode, Classes are some boxes, and the methods are in the box.
Then I would like to be able to make a arrow from one method to another.
Do you know some good software?
thanks
I want all .jpg links to have a certain background image. so a link on a page like 'http://mysite/myimage.jpg' would automatically be prefixed with a small icon. Actually all links to images, ie .gif .png as well with the same icon. If the link is to a website, ie .htm/.php/.html/.asp it should have a different image. I want it to be through classes in CSS. Any help appreciated. TIA
Here's the objective. I have a PHP class and there are one or two of its methods that I would like to override with my own. As I understand OOP (in PHP and in general) I could write a child class that extends it and overrides the functionality of the methods in question.
However, I was wondering if this is the best way of achieving this task and if this is a proper use for child classes or if there is something better in PHP for what I'm trying to do.
As far as I understand it is necessary for people using Scala for Android applications to bundle the Scala classes they used with their application.
Considering this adds hundreds of kilobytes to each Scala app redundantly, would it be possible to build a Scala library which can be delivered over the market, so app writers can just depend on that library instead of bundling it themselves?
My method looks like:
public string DoObjectProperties<T>(T obj, string text)
{
}
Now from within the method, I need to get the string value of the class name that i pass into the method's 'obj' parameter.
So if I pass in the User object, I need the text 'user'.
To get the properties I am using: typeof(T).GetProperties()
How can I get the classes name?
Hello all
general question is i like to build logger class that writes to single log file
from different classes in my application what should the logger class be
singletone or static class
Hello,
I have got four classes A, B, C and D.
Class A has a member b of class
B.
Class B has a member c of class C.
A has a member D* dpointer;
This hierarchy has to be preserved (in fact this is a GUI with app, window, panel as A, B and C).
Now B and C must use a method from *dpointer.
Is there something more elegant than giving dpointer as a member of B and C ?
Hi, I first learned C++ then moved to C (I know kind of backwards) and then I found a thing called iTunes U and began watching programming classes to extend my knowledge and noticed that Stanford and MIT both did not teach C or C++ as an introduction to computer programming. Then I began to wonder why they didn't begin teaching C/C++ because I thought C/C++ was more efficient than Java (which Stanford taught) and Python (which MIT taught). Or maybe there is no particular reason?
Traits classes can be defined to check if a C++ class has a member variable, function or a type (see here).
Curiously, the ConceptTraits do not include traits to check if a C++ class defines a default constructor or given constructor?
Can traits be used to check the constructor presence?
If yes, how?
If not, why it is not possible?
I am setting 2 css class in the code behind in ASP.NET
I could either do:
txtBox.Attributes.Add("class", "myClass1");
txtBox.Attributes.Add("class", "myClass2");
it's always apply one Class .. How can i add thw two classes ?
I would like to do something like this:
abstract class Foo
{
public function __construct()
{
echo 'This is the parent constructor';
}
abstract function __construct();
}
class Bar extends Foo
{
// constructor is required as this class extends Foo
public function __construct()
{
//call parent::__construct() if necessary
echo 'This is the child constructor';
}
}
But I get a fatal error when doing this:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare Foo::__construct() in Foo.php on line 8
Is there another way to ensure child classes have a constructor?
please forgive me if i am wrong:
I have an interface Interface1
I have its implementation Imple implements Interface (all methods hav been implemented :) )
now consider a third class CheckCall
can I do a call in the class CheckCall like I mention below
Interface1 interface1;
interface1.method();
all necessary imports have been done. Please tell me is it possible or not , if not then ok and if yes then tell me what will happen if i have more than one impl classes for the same interface and i am doing the same call.
So we're required to use the following order for CSS anchor pseudo-classes
a:link { color: red }
a:visited { color: blue }
a:hover { color: yellow }
a:active { color: lime }
But my question is why bother with the a:link part? Rather, is there any advantage to the above (other than perhaps clarity) over:
a { color:red; } /* notice no :link part */
a:visited { color: blue; }
etc.,etc.
