    Hi, I am trying to load just the contents of a <div> into another <div> on the same page using a jquery function. But when the function triggers, it loads the entire <HTML> document into the specified <div>. Any idea why it would be doing this?     I have the following code block code when the document is ready: $(document).ready(function() { createDivs(); // creates some divs with class 'foo'; // iterate $(".foo").each(function(index) { alert(index + " - " + $(this).text()); }); } I find that the "iterate" part misses the divs I created in the createDivs() method entirely! Is there some timing issue I'm not aware of? Why doesn't jquery see the divs that were just created?

  • Are there any program for showing tooltip via OCR

    Edited for clarification based on comments: At work we have an old developed program where I need to navigate on a very long dropdown list only with numbered codes. To select the correct code, I manually look at an excel list that shows the code and the name each codes corresponds with. To make matters worse, it is not possible to type in the dropdown box (only first character is recognized when typing) So my question is: Are there any program which can show the text from a predefined list, when i mouseover the various possibilities in the dropdown list? The purpose would be to be able to identify the name which corresponds to each code, without having to look at the excel list. Thanks in advance!

  • Making WatiN Wait for JQuery document.Ready() Functions to Complete

    WatiN's DomContainer.WaitForComplete() method pauses test execution until the DOM has finished loading, but if your page has functions registered with JQuery's ready() function, you'll probably want to wait for those to finish executing before testing it. Here's a WatiN extension method which pauses test execution until that happens. JQuery (as far as I can see) doesn't provide an event or other way of being notified of when it's finished running your ready() functions, so you have to get around it another way. Luckily, because ready() executes the functions it's given in the order they're registered, you can simply register another one to add a 'marker' div to the page, and tell WatiN to wait for that div to exist. Here's the code; I added the extension method to Browser rather than DomContainer (Browser derives from DomContainer) because it's the sort of thing you only execute once for each of the pages your test loads, so Browser seemed like a good place to put it. public static void WaitForJQueryDocumentReadyFunctionsToComplete(this Browser browser) { // Don't try this is JQuery isn't defined on the page: if (bool.Parse(browser.Eval("typeof $ == 'function'"))) { const string jqueryCompleteId = "jquery-document-ready-functions-complete"; // Register a ready() function which adds a marker div to the body: browser.Eval( @"$(document).ready(function() { " + "$('body').append('<div id=""" + jqueryCompleteId + @""" />'); " + "});"); // Wait for the marker div to exist or make the test fail: browser.Div(Find.ById(jqueryCompleteId)) .WaitUntilExistsOrFail(10, "JQuery document ready functions did not complete."); } } The code uses the Eval() method to send JavaScript to the browser to be executed; first to check that JQuery actually exists on the page, then to add the new ready() method. WaitUntilExistsOrFail() is another WatiN extension method I've written (I've ended up writing really quite a lot of them) which waits for the element on which it is invoked to exist, and uses Assert.Fail() to fail the test with the given message if it doesn't exist within the specified number of seconds.     HI, I've just been experimenting with a CSS tooltip that fades in with CSS3's transitions. I've got it working up to a point, but for some reason, when I hover over where it's meant to be, it activates, even though it's positioned left:-999px;. So basically, what am I doing wrong/is what I was going for possible? (Note I don't want to do anything with JS/JQuery, was just curious to see if I could do it in CSS) You can see and play with it here.

    Is anyone aware of an eclipse plugin that updates the tooltip on hover over a method/class to include annotation information? There a few libraries we are using that have annotated methods and it would be handy if I could hover over the method and see what has been applied. I realize this would only work with annotations that have been retained but that is good enough.

  • Eclipse Javadoc tooltip help doesn't show classes' supertypes and interfaces

    I'm talking about the tooltip that pops up when you hover your mouse over a class in your source (which also helps with intellisense and auto completion), which describes what a class/method/etc does. I find it very annoying that it doesn't show what superclass the class (being described) extends or what interfaces it implements. Is there a way to make eclipse show the additional information?

    Hello, i am using the Eclipse RCP trayitem, which is described in Vogellas tutorials here: http://www.vogella.de/articles/RichClientPlatform/article.html#systemtray The requirement now is not only to show the name of the app in the tooltip but also a percentage while doing lengthy operations. I understand that the trayitem attribute is a private from ApplicationWorkbenchWindowAdvisor, so I added a getter and setter method. The only thing missing is a possibility to access the trayitem instance from my ProgressMonitorDialog instance. Can you tell me, how you would solve this puzzle? Thanks

    Hi all, I have quite the process that we go through in order to display some e-mail communications in our application. Have a*Ç´)¡.ñÇ¡." in the browser. -The following shows up in a tooltip while hovering over the above text: <CommDetails>This is a new test. Have a*Ç´)¡.ñÇ¡.ñ*Ç´)¡.ñ*´)(¡.ñÇ(¡.ñÇ* Wonderful Day!</CommDetails> This then shows up incorrectly when rendered in the tooltip javascript with all the HEX values and not being rendered correctly. Any suggestions on how to make the unknown characters show correctly in javascript?

  • HTML/jQuery/CSS Drop Down Menu Issue / Safari

    I have a drop down menu that is coded in HTML, CSS, and jQuery and it works fine in Firefox and IE but not in Safari, and also not in Firefox on Mac. The drop down displays inline as opposed to list-item for the drop down in Safari.   • Parsing GeoRSS Feed with jQuery

    I'm attempting to use the jQuery jFeed plugin for parsing an Atom, GeoRSS feed and I'm running into issues extracting the information I need. For example, I need to extract the summary element and I would like to render the contents in a div on my HTML page. Additionally, I'd like to extract the contents from the georss:point elements and pass them into Google Maps to render them as points on a map. The problem is that it seems jFeed is stripping out the GeoRSS-related information. For example, I can extract the title element without issues, but it seems it doesn't extract the summary or georss:point elements, at all.
