  • Web Form Testing [closed]

    I created a application for a client that is along the lines of a ticket tracking system. I wanted to know if anyone know of software that could beta test the web forms. Well I am looking for something that could automatically populate/fill whatever forms are on the web page with generic data. The purpose of this is to just randomly populate data and see if I get any errors on the page when submitted plus to also see how validation for the form functions. Does anyone know of anything that could do this?

  • Is it possible to exclude folders from a web application project in vs 2010?

    I had previously asked this question. At the time I was working with VS 2008. To restate the question. I have a web application that generates 1000's of small xml files in a certain directory. I would like to exclude this directory from the web application project in visual studio 2010. With vs 2008 it was not possible. Has anything changed? Besides the general wait for VS to iterate through this directory and add an item in the solution explorer for each file, it also strains my system resources, so I would like to exclude it from the project, but the dir and files need to physically exist on disk, because they are part of the application. Any OOB VS 2010 solutions, or any good workarounds? Thanks Update: This also sums up the issue nicely http://forums.asp.net/t/1179077.aspx

I write every file like this. Recently, I learnt OOP and started using classes & objects in PHP. I hear that there are many frameworks there for PHP. They say that one must use these libraries. I searched SO archives and found everyone suggesting Django. But, can any one give me some idea about how web development in Python works? user (client) request for page --- webserver(-embedded PHP interpreter) ---- Server side(PHP) Script --- MySQL Server. Now, is it that instead of PHP interpreter there is python interpreter & instead of php script there is python script, which contains both HTML & python (embedded in some kind of python tags). Python script connects to database server and fetches some data which will be printed as HTML. or is it different in python world? Is this Django thing like frameworks for PHP? Can't one code in python without using Django. Because, I never encountered any post without django Please give me some kick start.

  • Easily reuse views, controller, layout in a command line interface

    My Zend application is going to get an command line php script that should email reports. There generation depends on Zend_View, Zend_Layout and is currently already working fine in the web interface. How can I reuse this whole MVC functionality in the command line? Should I add a new controller CommandLineController and call this somehow from the commandline? How can I kick of such a Controller manually, without having a HTTP request?

  • There's @interface in my @implementation — why is that?

    This is a pretty noobish question – I'm looking at some Cocoa sample code and there's @interface blocks in the .m files as well as the headers. For instance, in the AppDelegate class header, a UIWindow and UI navigation are defined as instance variables, but the @property declarations are actually made in the implementation file. Is there a functional reason for this, is it a stylistic choice, or… ?
