• Change with jQuery a cell of a table created with JSF

  From within a xhtml page created with JSF, I need to use JavaScript / jQuery for changing the content of a cell of a table. I know how to assign a unique id to the div containing the table, and to the tbody. I can also assign unique class names to the div itself and to the target column. I need to search my target row and my target column inside that particular div or inside that particular table, because the xhtml page may contain other tables with different unique ids (and accidentally with the same row and column ids).

  I'm trying to understand what's going on in this code. From reading the documentation load() will load KeyStore data from an input stream (which is just an empty file we just created), using some arbitrary "nopassword". Why not just load it with null as the InputStream parameter and an empty string as the password field? And then what is happening when this empty KeyStore is being passed to the SSLSocketFactory constructor? What's the result of such an operation? Or -- is this simply an example where in a real application you would have to actually put a reference to an existing keystore file / password?

  hi I'm quite new to mysql and I'm trying to figure out how to use triggers. what I'm trying to do: I have 2 tables, max and sub_max, when I insert a new row to sub_max I want to check if the SUM of the values with the same foreign_key as the new row are less than the value in the max table.   I am trying to execute a query that deletes all files from the images table that do not exist in the filters tables. I am skipping 3,500 of the latest files in the database as to sort of "Trim" the table back to 3,500 + "X" amount of records in the filters table. The filters table holds markers for the file, as well as the file id used in the images table. The code will run on a cron job.   I am very new to this and am trying to learn by creating a few little apps for myself. I have a navigation-based app where the user taps the row to select a film title - i then want the second view to show details of the film.   Hi, Is there a simple way to export a WPF DataGrid to a text file and a .csv file? I've done some searching and can't see that there is a simple DataGrid method to do so. I have got something working (barely) by making use of the ItemsSource of the DataGrid. In my case, this is an array of structs. I do something with StreamWriters and StringBuilders (details available) and basically have: StringBuilder destination = new StringBuilder(); destination.Append(row.CreationDate); destination.Append(seperator); // seperator is '\t' or ',' for csv file destination.Append(row.ProcId); destination.Append(seperator); destination.Append(row.PartNumber); destination.Append(seperator); I do this for each struct in the array (in a loop). This works fine. The problem is that it's not easy to read the text file. The data can be of different lengths within the same column. I'd like to see something like: 2007-03-03 234238423823 823829923 2007-03-03 66 99 And of course, I get something like: 2007-03-03 234238423823 823829923 2007-03-03 66 99 It's not surprising giving that I'm using Tab delimiters, but I hope to do better. It certainly is easy to read in the DataGrid! I could of course have some logic to pad short values with spaces, but that seems quite messy. I thought there might be a better way. I also have a feeling that this is a common problem and one that has probably been solved before (hopefully within the .NET classes themselves). Thanks.

  Hi all, I want to generate a matrix of NxN to test some code that I have where each row contains floats as the elements and has to add up to 1 (i.e. a row with a set of probabilities). Where it gets tricky is that I want to make sure that randomly some of the elements should be 0 (in fact most of the elements should be 0 except for some random ones to be the probabilities). I need the probabilities to be 1/m where m is the number of elements that are not 0 within a single row. I tried to think of ways to output this, but essentially I would need this stored in a C++ array. So even if I output to a file I would still have the issue of not having it in array as I need it. At the end of it all I need that array because I want to generate a Market Matrix file. I found an implementation in C++ to take an array and convert it to the market matrix file, so this is what I am basing my findings on. My input for the rest of the code takes in this market matrix file so I need that to be the primary form of output. The language does not matter, I just want to generate the file at the end (I found a way mmwrite and mmread in python as well) Please help, I am stuck and not really sure how to implement this.

  Hi all, I am trying to save data into the same table several times from the same $_POST array. You see, on my registration form a family is allowed to specify the names, gender and age of all members they wish to bring along. This data is being stored in a database table called aditional_member.   Im am trying to add a check box that will enable/disable the edit button. Im retrieving a price list and displaying it inside a table. When i add the javascript into the php code it doesn't work. • Parse a CSV file using python (to make a decision tree later)

  First off, full disclosure: This is going towards a uni assignment, so I don't want to receive code. :). I'm more looking for approaches; I'm very new to python, having read a book but not yet written any code. The entire task is to import the contents of a CSV file, create a decision tree from the contents of the CSV file (using the ID3 algorithm), and then parse a second CSV file to run against the tree. There's a big (understandable) preference to have it capable of dealing with different CSV files (I asked if we were allowed to hard code the column names, mostly to eliminate it as a possibility, and the answer was no). The CSV files are in a fairly standard format; the header row is marked with a # then the column names are displayed, and every row after that is a simple series of values. Example: # Column1, Column2, Column3, Column4 Value01, Value02, Value03, Value04 Value11, Value12, Value13, Value14 At the moment, I'm trying to work out the first part: parsing the CSV. To make the decisions for the decision tree, a dictionary structure seems like it's going to be the most logical; so I was thinking of doing something along these lines: Read in each line, character by character If the character is not a comma or a space Append character to temporary string If the character is a comma Append the temporary string to a list Empty string Once a line has been read Create a dictionary using the header row as the key (somehow!) Append that dictionary to a list However, if I do things that way, I'm not sure how to make a mapping between the keys and the values. I'm also wondering whether there is some way to perform an action on every dictionary in a list, since I'll need to be doing things to the effect of "Everyone return their values for columns Column1 and Column4, so I can count up who has what!" - I assume that there is some mechanism, but I don't think I know how to do it. Is a dictionary the best way to do it? Would I be better off doing things using some other data structure? If so, what?

• jquery selecting all elements except the last per group

  I have a table that looks like: <table> <tr> <td>one</td><td>two</td><td>three</td><td>last</td> </tr> <tr> <td>blue</td><td>red</td><td>green</td><td>last</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Monday</td><td>Tuesday</td><td>Wednesday</td><td>last</td> </tr> </table> What I want is a jquery selector that will choose all but the last td of each table row. I tried: $("tr td:not(:last)").css("background-color","red"); //changing color just as a test... But instead of all cells but the last on each row being changed, all cells but the very last one in the table are selected. Similarly, if I change it to: $("tr td:last").css("background-color","red"); the only one that changes is the very last cell. How do I choose the last (or not last) of each row?

• Problems with string parameter insertion into prepared statement

  Hi, I have a database running on an MS SQL Server. My application communicates via JDBC and ODBC with it. Now I try to use prepared statements. When I insert a numeric (Long) parameter everything works fine. When I insert a string parameter it does not work. There is no error message, but an empty result set. WHERE column LIKE ('%' + ? + '%') --inserted "test" -> empty result set WHERE column LIKE ? --inserted "%test%" -> empty result set WHERE column = ? --inserted "test" -> works But I need the LIKE functionality. When I insert the same string directly into the query string (not as a prepared statement parameter) it runs fine. WHERE column LIKE '%test%' It looks a little bit like double quoting for me, but I never used quotes inside a string. I use preparedStatement.setString(int index, String x) for insertion. What is causing this problem? How can I fix it? Thanks in advance.

  Hello, I'm trying to export data to a csv file, as there are chinese characters in the data i had to use unicode.. but after adding the preamble for unicode, the commas are not recognized as delimiters and all data are now written to the first column.
