    Hi, with browser language french i have a string which has date in the format v = 13/01/2010 10:54:00. when i say Date.parse(v) i get the result as Date.parse(v) 1293897240000 Number with browser language german i have a string which has date int he format v = 13.01.2010 10:54:00 when i say Date.parse(v) i get the result as Date.parse(v) NaN Number can you please tell me how to parse date when it is in german language.   • Why NullPointerException is a runtime exception and RemoteException not?

    A possible reason because a NullPointerException is a runtime exception is because every method can throw it, so every method would need to have a "throws NullPointerException", and would be ugly. But this happens with RemoteException. And a possible reason because RemoteException is not a runtime exception, is to tell it client to treat the exception. But every method in a remote environment need throws it, so there is no difference of throwing NullPointerException. Speculations? Was I clear?

    Hi, I have a 500Mb csv file. I need to convert it into XML file. I am using the Jaxb to created the xml file. It is working fine for small amout of data. but for large amout of data like 300 mb it is throwing out of memory exception. We have corporate accounts with both companies, and they both tell me that they have no intention of producing versions to support 64 bit applications. Can anyone recommend either open source or commercial alternatives that support 64 bit native C++/MFC applications?

Can anyone tell me if there are any implications in using NULL to represent empty value? Should I follow some other convention like 'data_not_available'? or something like that? Can anyone suggest?

    If my Ajax call returns a successful result, but while processing the result I cause an exception, the error handler fires. This seems counter intuitive to me as I think the error handler should only fire when an error occurs as a result of making the Ajax call or via a server-side error. I am trying to use the Ajax function in a unit test so I would like to tell the difference between the two different failure scenarios.
