• Fastest and most efficent way of seaching a key-value pair in Java?

  DISCLAIMER: THIS QUESTION WAS NOT MENT TO BE ARGUMENTATIVE!!!!!!! What is fastest and less memory draining way of searching a key-value pair? I will be storing items in a key-value like relation and I need to access them quickly. Should I use a SQLite database? A Map? A Hashtable? A HashMap? Please give some advantages/disadvantages of using whatever method of searching.

  I'd like to fill System.Windows.Forms.ListView with the items I've stored in a separate System.Collections.Generics.List<. I would like to avoid to store the data twice, once in the List< and once as a string in ListViewItem. Is there a way to make ListViewItem use some callback function to obtain the text to put in its columns from the Tag property, instead of using its Text property?

  I've got code that takes a PIL image and converts it to a ctypes array to pass out to a C function: w_px, h_px = img.size pixels = struct.unpack('%dI'%(w_px*h_px), img.convert('RGBA').tostring()) pixels_array = (ctypes.c_int * len(pixels))(*pixels) But I'm dealing with big images, and unpacking that many items into function arguments seems to be noticeably slow. What's the simplest thing I can do to get a reasonable speedup? I'm only converting to a tuple as an intermediate step, so if it's unnecessary, all the better.

  I have an uitableview with UITableViewCellSTyleValue1 so i have a textlabel and a detail text label. The second thing i've got is a NSMutableArray. Now i want to fill the textLabels with the even items and the detailTextlabels with the odd entries. So for example cell one(zero) gets entry 0 and 1 cell one gets 2 and 3 and so on. I didn't get it working until now. :(

  I have some pages that are sent via HTTPS. Internet Explorer sometimes complains about "This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS". I looked in the html source to confirm all content calls (href, src, etc...) are sent via https. My CSS files use relative paths. But I'm still getting these warnings. Is there an easy way to track down which items are not sent via HTTPS?

  I need to create a page that has a listbox with databound items. Upon clicking an entry in the listbox, the page will postback and insert an entry into a listview. The listview should have the item's name, and a textbox allowing the user to edit the value for each. I don't want the listview to be in "edit" mode. The menu is in a different region than the content it is supposed to overlay (since the menu governs what items go into that region) which is why this is occurring.
