  • essential reading for php coding (including databases)?

    Hello. I'm more of a SU and SF but now I'm after some help from the SO community. I'm dabbling in a bit of php coding with databases and am getting a bit stuck with relationships and the like. Can anybody reccomend some books, online or real, that would be a good start for someone new(ish) to php and mysql databases? Cheers!

I have not found any more info in any books or internet. My website download forms has 1000's of pages generated thru script. I want to generate breadcrumb navigation for the pages. Google has refused me Adsense account due to this lack of navigation.

I can't seem to find the print_any command that was littered all over the place in the old books and samples. I have installed powerpack but can't find it there either. How do I list books having at least one readingdate within a specific year? I can do this: from_date = datetime.date(2010,1,1) to_date = datetime.date(2010,12,31) book_ids = Readingdate.objects\ .filter(date__range=(from_date,to_date))\ .values_list('book_id', flat=True) books_read_2010 = Book.objects.filter(id__in=book_ids) Is it possible to do this with one queryset, or is this the best way?

  • Printing user specified column from JTable

    I have an application, and I would like to print a JTable, but since it has many columns, I would like user to select/limit which columns to print so it can fit in regular printer paper. I'm using JTable.print() function to print. (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/misc/printtable.html) Right now, my solution, is to create another JTable with the columns that user selected, then repopulate the table with the data, then send it to printer. Is there a better way to do it?
