  • ReferenceError: Error #1008 Class is ambiguous

    - by Dimitree
I have a As3 file and I get a runtime error: ReferenceError: **Error #1008**: Tooltip is ambiguous; Found more than one matching binding. I have a class named Tooltip and also a symbol in library with linkage class: Tooltip and Base Class fvg.Tooltip (fvg is the name of the package). Why I get this conflict?

  • How can I uninstall NetBeans on a mac?

    - by Henri W
I currently have NetBeans 6.5 installed on my mac running leopard. I searched Google on how to uninstall it and the NetBeans website says to right click on it, select "Show Package Contents" and the uninstaller should be there, but it isn't. How can I completely uninstall NetBeans in this situation? Thanks!

  • How to use java property files?

    - by Click Upvote
So I have a list of key/value pairs of configuration values I want to store as java property files, and later load and iterate through. Questions: Do I need to store the file in the same package as the class which will load them, or is there any specific location where it should be placed? Does the file need to end in any specific extension or is .txt ok? How can I load the file in the code And how can I iterate through the values inside?

  • How do I deploy .NET Framework 4 using Active Directory deployment?

    - by Matt Varblow
I know it's possible to deploy earlier versions of the .NET framework using AD deployment, for example: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc160717.aspx. How do it do this for .NET 4? I tried unpacking the standalone .NET 4 installer and deploying the netfx_Extended_x86.msi package. This didn't work. After a reboot the event log shows that it tried but it failed to install with a message saying to run setup.exe.

  • How to create a stand alone command line application with Node.js

    - by Fab
I'm trying to find a way to use a command line nodejs application that I created on a computer without node.js installed. In other words how to package my application with node.js inside, in order to avoid the users to have node.js already installed. The tipical use case is: I run the application and the application works using the node core that is provide with the application (or the application checks if there is node.js installed, and if not it donwload and install it automatically). Do you have any idea?

  • Vertical Seek not progress value not showing on MainActivity textView

    - by Raju Gujarati
    I am try to display the progress value of the seekBar but when it comes to the execution, there is no update on the value being display on the TextView. I wonder what alternatives than putting two classes onto one big class in order to archive this aim ? The below is my code VerticalSeekBar.java package com.example.imagerotation; import android.content.Context; import android.graphics.Canvas; import android.util.AttributeSet; import android.view.MotionEvent; import android.widget.SeekBar; import android.widget.Toast; public class VerticalSeekBar extends SeekBar { public VerticalSeekBar(Context context) { super(context); } public VerticalSeekBar(Context context, AttributeSet attrs, int defStyle) { super(context, attrs, defStyle); } public VerticalSeekBar(Context context, AttributeSet attrs) { super(context, attrs); } protected void onSizeChanged(int w, int h, int oldw, int oldh) { super.onSizeChanged(h, w, oldh, oldw); } @Override protected synchronized void onMeasure(int widthMeasureSpec, int heightMeasureSpec) { super.onMeasure(heightMeasureSpec, widthMeasureSpec); setMeasuredDimension(getMeasuredHeight(), getMeasuredWidth()); } protected void onDraw(Canvas c) { c.rotate(-90); c.translate(-getHeight(), 0); super.onDraw(c); } @Override public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent event) { if (!isEnabled()) { return false; } switch (event.getAction()) { case MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN: case MotionEvent.ACTION_MOVE: case MotionEvent.ACTION_UP: int progress = getMax() - (int) (getMax() * event.getY() / getHeight()); setProgress(progress); onSizeChanged(getWidth(), getHeight(), 0, 0); //Toast.makeText(getContext(), String.valueOf(progress), Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); break; case MotionEvent.ACTION_CANCEL: break; } return true; } } MainActvity.java package com.example.imagerotation; import android.app.Activity; import android.os.Bundle; import android.view.Menu; import android.view.MenuItem; import android.widget.TextView; public class MainActivity extends Activity { private VerticalSeekBar seek; private TextView by; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_main); seek = (VerticalSeekBar)findViewById(R.id.seekBar1); by = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.textView1); by.setText(String.valueOf(seek.getProgress())); } }

  • Change paper size in the middle of a latex document?

    - by Usagi
Does anyone know how to change these length parameters in the middle of a latex document? \paperwidth \paperheight I would like to define a page size for a single page (possibly two or three). I tried v5.3 of the geometry package, which just added some new features; like \newgeometry. Unfortunately \newgeometry cannot be used to redefine \paperheight and \paperwidth. Any help would be very appreciated.

  • Look over my C# SQLite Query, what am I doing wrong?

    - by CODe
I'm writing a WinForms database application using SQLite and C#. I have a sqlite query that is failing, and I'm unsure as to where I'm going wrong, as I've tried everything I could think of. public DataTable searchSubs(String businessName, String contactName) { string SQL = null; if ((businessName != null && businessName != "") && (contactName != null && contactName != "")) { // provided business name and contact name for search SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR WHERE BusinessName LIKE %@BusinessName% AND Contact LIKE %@ContactName%"; } else if ((businessName != null && businessName != "") && (contactName == null || contactName == "")) { // provided business name only for search SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR WHERE BusinessName LIKE %@BusinessName%"; } else if ((businessName == null || businessName == "") && (contactName != null && contactName != "")) { // provided contact name only for search SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR WHERE Contact LIKE %@ContactName%"; } else if ((businessName == null || businessName == "") && (contactName == null || contactName == "")) { // provided no search information SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR"; } SQLiteCommand cmd = new SQLiteCommand(SQL); cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@BusinessName", businessName); cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@ContactName", contactName); cmd.Connection = connection; SQLiteDataAdapter da = new SQLiteDataAdapter(cmd); DataSet ds = new DataSet(); try { da.Fill(ds); DataTable dt = ds.Tables[0]; return dt; } catch (Exception e) { MessageBox.Show(e.ToString()); return null; } finally { cmd.Dispose(); connection.Close(); } } I continually get an error saying that it is failing near the %'s. That's all fine and dandy, but I guess I'm structuring it wrong, but I don't know where! I tried adding apostrophes around the "like" variables, like this: SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR WHERE Contact LIKE '%@ContactName%'"; and quite honestly, that is all I can think of. Anyone have any ideas?

  • Simulating a missing gem in Ruby unit tests

    - by ktex
Is there any way to simulate the absence of a gem for certain unit tests, short of actually uninstalling and then reinstalling the gem during testing? I am writing a command line utility, and want to make sure that my tests cover cases where a user may not have all of the gems that I support. For instance, I am using fsevents — a Leopard-specific package for monitoring filesystem events — that will never be present on other systems, as well as a growl gem that's purely optional.

  • Accessing Subversion commit data externally

    - by gaoshan88
I have need to access subversion data (commit messages, files updated, revision numbers, dates modified, author, etc.) externally. Is this something for some sort of subversion hook or is there a decent third party package for this or some other "best practice" way to approach accessing subversion data externally (and by external I mean from a php/ruby or python script... external to subversion itself)?

  • Robust way to save/load objects with dependencies?

    - by mrteacup
I'm writing an Android game in Java and I need a robust way to save and load application state quickly. The question seems to apply to most OO languages. To understand what I need to save: I'm using a Strategy pattern to control my game entities. The idea is I have a very general Entity class which e.g. stores the location of a bullet/player/enemy and I then attach a Behaviour class that tells the entity how to act: class Entiy { float x; float y; Behavior b; } abstract class Behavior { void update(Entity e); {} // Move about at a constant speed class MoveBehavior extends Behavior { float speed; void update ... } // Chase after another entity class ChaseBehavior extends Behavior { Entity target; void update ... } // Perform two behaviours in sequence class CombineBehavior extends Behavior { Behaviour a, b; void update ... } Essentially, Entity objects are easy to save but Behaviour objects can have a semi-complex graph of dependencies between other Entity objects and other Behaviour objects. I also have cases where a Behaviour object is shared between entities. I'm willing to change my design to make saving/loading state easier, but the above design works really well for structuring the game. Anyway, the options I've considered are: Use Java serialization. This is meant to be really slow in Android (I'll profile it sometime). I'm worried about robustness when changes are made between versions however. Use something like JSON or XML. I'm not sure how I would cope with storing the dependencies between objects however. Would I have to give each object a unique ID and then use these IDs on loading to link the right objects together? I thought I could e.g. change the ChaseBehaviour to store a ID to an entity, instead of a reference, that would be used to look up the Entity before performing the behaviour. I'd rather avoid having to write lots of loading/saving code myself as I find it really easy to make mistakes (e.g. forgetting to save something, reading things out in the wrong order). Can anyone give me any tips on good formats to save to or class designs that make saving state easier?

  • Using custom .jar's in your java project

    - by Aidan
Hi guys, I'm importing from two jar's twitter4j-2.0.10.jar and mysql-connector-java-5.1.10-bin.jar, I'm running the code on a server but it's not letting me. I get a.. Streamer.java:9: package twitter4j does not exist import twitter4j.StatusDeletionNotice; ^ error when compiling. I know this has something to do with getting java to recognise my custom jar's but I don't know how to get java to "see" them. Any ideas?
