  • Git: submodule init and update from different folder

    - by jmccartie
    Trying to write a deployment script, working on a repo in a different path. The "git-dir" flag seems to work fine for most commands, but not for submodule work. Am I missing a path directive? Works: git --git-dir=/tmp/repo_path/.git log Doesn't work: git --git-dir=/tmp/repo_path/.git submodule init Error: No submodule mapping found in .gitmodules for path 'path_to/submodule' Much thanks for any help.

  • powershell folder stats

    - by huppy_doodoo
    Hi all, I keep all modules of our system in one dir (e.g. All\ModuleA; All\ModuleB). I want to see what types of files are most numerous and take up the most space, by module. So, I'd like output along the lines of: ModName,java-count,java-size,xml-count,xml-size,png-count,png-size... ModuleA,30,0.2,100,2.3,0,0,... ModuleB,21,0.1,20,0.7,1,1.2 Not all modules have files of all types, so this will only work if I list all types for all module (with lots of zeros). I have something that almost works, but it's hideous, verbose and inefficient. I'm sure someone can help me see the light :-) (which, by the way, can be a piece of freeware software that does this out of the box; I only chose to do this in powershell out of interest). thanks

  • Subdomain to folder htaccess

    - by mikelbring
    I am trying to point sub.domain.com to domain.com/app/*sub, but the farthest I can get is making it a redirection and I do not want it to redirect. Here is what I have, it works but it redirects it instead of staying on the subdomain, which is what I want. RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(.*).example.com RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.example.com [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://example.com/app/%1/$1 [L]

    - by user338233
    Hello, I'm having problems with a PHP script trying to list images alphabetically. I need this urgently and I have not much knowledge of PHP. I was trying to use scandir() but I'm not succeeding. Thanks for your help!! Here is the code: function listerImages($repertoire){ $i = 0; $repertoireCourant = opendir('./'.$repertoire); while($fichierTrouve = readdir($repertoireCourant)){ $fichierTemp = ""; if($repertoire == '.') $fichierTemp = $fichierTrouve; else $fichierTemp = $repertoire.'/'.$fichierTrouve; if(estUneImageValide($fichierTemp)){ echo afficherPhoto($fichierTemp,$i); chmod($fichierTemp,0700); } $i++; } }

    - by Anonymous

However under Windows 7 Professional i can't delete the file some System process is always restoring it (same with the dll files) and as you can imagine a lot of programs are crashing because of that behaviour. So WHAT SERVICE/PROCESS can lock/recreate/restore files? I have disabled System Recovery.

  • Reading a file over a network path

    - by Sin5k4
    I have this weird issue,when I use > File FileToRead = new File("\\\\MYSERVER\\MYFOLDER\\MYFOLDER\\MYPICTURE.JPG"); to read a file over a network,all I get is a null pointer exception.Normally a local path works with this,but when on a network path,I just couldn't manage to get it to work.Any ideas? PS:oh and my network connection seems to work,no issues when accessing data in windows explorer... More of the code: File FileToRead = new File("file://DOKSERVICE/Somefolder/ProductImage/01001.JPG"); // File FileToRead = new File("c:\\dog.jpg"); local test BufferedImage image = ImageIO.read(FileToRead); BufferedImage resizedimage = new BufferedImage(260, 260,BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB ); Graphics2D g = resizedimage.createGraphics(); g.drawImage(image, 0, 0, 260, 260, null); g.dispose(); picture.setIcon(new ImageIcon(image));

  • mvc partial views loses track of the images folder when using jquery

    This is what I have and it works: $(function(){ $('.slide-out-div').tabSlideOut({ tabHandle: '.handle', //class of the element that will become your tab pathToTabImage: 'http://mhmiisdev2/images/contact_tab.gif', //path to the image for the tab //Optionally can be set using css imageHeight: '122px', //height of tab image //Optionally can be set using css imageWidth: '40px', //width of tab image //Optionally can be set using css tabLocation: 'right', //side of screen where tab lives, top, right, bottom, or left speed: 300, //speed of animation action: 'click', //options: 'click' or 'hover', action to trigger animation topPos: '200px', //position from the top/ use if tabLocation is left or right leftPos: '20px', //position from left/ use if tabLocation is bottom or top fixedPosition: true //options: true makes it stick(fixed position) on scroll }); }); This is what I want and it doesnt work when I change from one controller to another controller. • Why won't this piece of my code write to file

    - by user2934783
    I am developing a c++ banking system. I am able to get the float, newbal, values correctly and when I try to write to file, there is no data in the file. else { file>>firstname>>lastname; cout<<endl<<firstname<<" "<<lastname<<endl; cout<<"-----------------------------------\n"; string line; while (getline(file, line)) { //stringstream the getline for line string in file istringstream iss(line); if (iss >> date >> amount) { cout<<date<<"\t\t$"<<showpoint<<fixed<<setprecision(2)<<amount<<endl; famount+=amount; } } cout<<"Your balance is $"<<famount<<endl; cout<<"How much would you like to deposit today: $"; cin>>amountinput; float newbal=0; newbal=(famount+=amountinput); cout<<"\nYour new balance is: $"<<newbal<<".\n"; file<<date<<"\t\t"<<newbal; //***This should be writing to file but it doesn't. file.close(); The text file looks like this: Tony Gaddis 05/24/12 100 05/30/12 300 07/01/12 -300 //Console Output looks like this Tony Gaddis 05/24/12 100 05/30/12 300 07/01/12 -300 Your balance is: #1 How much wuld you like to deposit: #2 Your new balance is: #1 + #2 write to file close file. //exits to main loop:::: How can I make it write to file and save it, and why is this happening. • apache2: Could not open configuration file /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Permission denied

    - by AntonChanning
    I recently upgraded Ubuntu to the latest LTS edition on my work laptop, which I use as a LAMP development platform. The upgrade was from 12.4 to 14.4. Now I'm having trouble getting apache up and running again. Here is the output from an attempt: antonc@antonc-laptop:/etc/apache2$ sudo service apache2 restart * Restarting web server apache2 * The apache2 configtest failed. Output of config test was: apache2: Could not open configuration file /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Permission denied Action 'configtest' failed. The Apache error log may have more information. Here is a list of permissions and ownership in /etc/apache, showing that apache2.conf is currently owned by root with permissions 644. I changed this temporarily to 777, but this made no difference, so I changed it back to 644. antonc@antonc-laptop:/etc/apache2$ ls -l total 80 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7115 Jan 7 2014 apache2.conf ... What do I need to do to get apache running again? Is the problem really with apache2.conf or some other setting? Should the conf file be owned by a user other than root?

  • CodeIt.Right Code File Header Template For StyleCop Rules

    - by Paulo Morgado
    I like to use both StyleCop and CodeIt.Right to validate my code – StyleCop because it’s free and CodeIt.Right because it’s really good. While StyleCop provides only validation, CodeIt.Righ provides both validation and correction of violations. Unfortunately, CodeIt.Right’s supplied template for code file headers does not conform to StyleCop rules. Fortunately, CodeIt.Right allows us to define our own template. Here’s the one I use: <#@ template language="C#" #> //----------------------------------------------------------------------- // <copyright file="<#= System.IO.Path.GetFileName(Context.DestinationFile) #>" // project="<#= Context.ProjectName #>" // assembly="<#= Context.AssemblyName #>" // solution="<#= Context.SolutionName #>" // company="<#= Context.GetGlobalProperty("CompanyName") #>"> // Copyright (c) <#= Context.GetGlobalProperty("CompanyName") #>. All rights reserved. // </copyright> // <author id="<#= Context.GetGlobalProperty("UserID") #>"><#= Context.GetGlobalProperty("UserName") #></author> // <summary></summary> //-----------------------------------------------------------------------

  • puppet rspec no such file to load -- rspec-puppet (LoadError)

    - by Vorsprung
    I have no prior experience at all of ruby. I am not interested in ruby (and so have no knowledge of rails etc) as such but am using puppet to manage a group of servers. I have written some modules and the rspec-puppet system looks like it would be very useful. However, I cannot get rspec-puppet to work I am using Ubuntu LTS 10.04 I have installed puppet rspec using the directions on their web page What I actually did apt-get install rubygems # (installs 1.8) gem install rspec-expectations gem install rspec-puppet I also installed librspec-ruby1.8 Then I ran rspec-puppet-init in a puppet module directory I'd already made (it's a working puppet module) I made a file as defined in the tutorial $ more spec/defines/rule_spec.rb require 'spec_helper' describe 'vanusers::rule' do let(:title) { 't1' } it { should contain_class('vanusers::JamieA') } end but when I try and run it there is a mysterious dependancy issue $ spec spec/defines/rule_spec.rb /home/jamie/git/puppet/modules/vanusers/spec/spec_helper.rb:1:in `require': no such file to load -- rspec-puppet (LoadError) from /home/jamie/git/puppet/modules/vanusers/spec/spec_helper.rb:1 from ./spec/defines/rule_spec.rb:1:in `require' from ./spec/defines/rule_spec.rb:1 from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/spec/runner/example_group_runner.rb:15:in `load' from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/spec/runner/example_group_runner.rb:15:in `load_files' from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/spec/runner/example_group_runner.rb:14:in `each' from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/spec/runner/example_group_runner.rb:14:in `load_files' from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/spec/runner/options.rb:132:in `run_examples' from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/spec/runner/command_line.rb:9:in `run' from /usr/bin/spec:3 Here is the solution I came up with in the end:: apt-get install rubygems gem install rspec-expectations rspec-puppet puppet-lint puppetlabs_spec_helper so your path picks up the gem stuff export PATH=/var/lib/gems/1.8/bin:$PATH cd into module and rm spec/spec_helper.rb rspec-puppet-init replace Rakefile with require 'rake' require 'rspec/core/rake_task' require 'puppetlabs_spec_helper/rake_tasks' Then "rake spec" to run tests or "rake lint" to check files http://sysadvent.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/day-22-getting-started-testing-your.html was an excellent source of info

  • SQL SERVER – Auto Recovery File Settings in SSMS – SQL in Sixty Seconds #034 – Video

    - by pinaldave
    Every developer once in a while facing an unfortunate situation where they have not yet saved the work and their SQL Server Management Studio crashes. Well, you can minimize the loss by optimizing auto recovery settings. In this video we can see how to set the auto recovery settings. Go to SSMS >> Tools >> Options >> Environment >> AutoRecover There are two different settings: 1) Save AutoRecover Information Every Minutes This option will save the SQL Query file at certain interval. Set this option to minimum value possible to avoid loss. If you have set this value to 5, in the worst possible case, you can loose last 5 minutes of the work. 2) Keep AutoRecover Information for Days This option will preserve the AutoRecovery information for specified days. Though, I suggest in case of accident open SQL Server Management Studio right away and recover your file. Do not procrastinate this important task for future dates.
