  • Cannot get new product attribute in grid display

    - by russjman
I added a new attribute to my products(a boolean "yes/no" field). It is a variable to enable/disable the price from displaying on the product detail page, and grid view. I managed to get it work on the product info page. But on product grid page I cant seem to access that variable. Specifically, the template i am working with is catalog/product/price.phtml. From what i can tell, the price is being displayed by the same group of if-statements on both the product detail page, and grid page. This has me confused because i cant find any code on that template to handle multiple products, just a bunch of nested if statements. this is how im attempting to access this new variable using $_displayPrice. on line 36 of catalog/product/price.html <?php $_product = $this->getProduct(); ?> <?php $_id = $_product->getId() ?> <?php $_displayPrice = $_product->getDisplayPrice() ? "Yes" : "No"; echo $_displayPrice;?> What has me further confused is that when display $_product-getData(), my new variable isn't anywhere among that data. thanks in advance

  • Android map overly transparency has unwanted gradient

    - by DavidP2190
I'm a making my first android app and for part of it I need some shaded areas over a mapview. I've got this working so far but the when I set the alpha of the fill colour, it goes strange. I'm not allowed to post images yet, but you can see what happens here: http://i.imgur.com/leXmc.png I'm not sure what causes it, but here is some code from where it gets drawn. public boolean draw(Canvas canvas, MapView mapView, boolean shadow, long when) { Paint paint = new Paint(); paint.setStrokeWidth(2); paint.setColor(android.graphics.Color.GREEN); paint.setStyle(Paint.Style.FILL_AND_STROKE); paint.setAlpha(25); screenPoints = new Point[10]; Path path = new Path(); for (int x = 0; x<greenZone.length; x++){ screenPoints[x] = new Point(); mapView.getProjection().toPixels(greenZone[x], screenPoints[x]); } path.moveTo(screenPoints[0].x, screenPoints[0].y); for (int x = 1; x < screenPoints.length-1; x++){ paint.setAlpha(25); if (x<9){ path.lineTo(screenPoints[x].x, screenPoints[x].y); canvas.drawPath(path, paint); } else{ path.moveTo(screenPoints[screenPoints.length-1].x, screenPoints[screenPoints.length-1].y); path.lineTo(screenPoints[0].x, screenPoints[0].y); canvas.drawPath(path, paint); } } return true; } Thanks.

  • Problem when copying array of different types using Arrays.copyOf

    - by Shervin
    I am trying to create a method that pretty much takes anything as a parameter, and returns a concatenated string representation of the value with some delimiter. public static String getConcatenated(char delim, Object ...names) { String[] stringArray = Arrays.copyOf(names, names.length, String[].class); //Exception here return getConcatenated(delim, stringArray); } And the actual method public static String getConcatenated(char delim, String ... names) { if(names == null || names.length == 0) return ""; StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); for(int i = 0; i < names.length; i++) { String n = names[i]; if(n != null) { sb.append(n.trim()); sb.append(delim); } } //Remove the last delim return sb.substring(0, sb.length()-1).toString(); } And I have the following JUnit test: final String two = RedpillLinproUtils.getConcatenated(' ', "Shervin", "Asgari"); Assert.assertEquals("Result", "Shervin Asgari", two); //OK final String three = RedpillLinproUtils.getConcatenated(';', "Shervin", "Asgari"); Assert.assertEquals("Result", "Shervin;Asgari", three); //OK final String four = RedpillLinproUtils.getConcatenated(';', "Shervin", null, "Asgari", null); Assert.assertEquals("Result", "Shervin;Asgari", four); //OK final String five = RedpillLinproUtils.getConcatenated('/', 1, 2, null, 3, 4); Assert.assertEquals("Result", "1/2/3/4", five); //FAIL However, the test fails on the last part with the exception: java.lang.ArrayStoreException at java.lang.System.arraycopy(Native Method) at java.util.Arrays.copyOf(Arrays.java:2763) Can someone spot the error?

  • How to pass a value from the Jquery validation

    - by user2963960
How can i pass a value from the jquery validation. I have an input box named clubCardNumber it should validate the length of the inputted value. If the length is equal to 10 the value passes to the hidden field named else validated it if its null or empty if all validations are true then its a clubCard. Here is how i implemented it on Javascript function validateClubCardNumber() { var varClubCardNumber = $('#clubCardNumber').val(); $('#phoneNumber').val(""); var returnVal = true; if ((null == varClubCardNumber || '' == trim(varClubCardNumber)){ return false; } if( varClubCardNumber.length < 10 ){ return false; }else if( varClubCardNumber.length == 10 ) { //The Phone Number field should contains numbers only var pattern = /^[0-9 -]*$/ ; var flag = pattern.test(trim(varClubCardNumber)); if(flag == false){ return false; }else{ $('#phoneNumber').val(varClubCardNumber); returnVal = true; } } } return returnVal; } HTML <div > <label for="clubCardNumber" >Card or Phone Number:</label> <input id="clubCardNumber" name="clubCardNumber" type="text" placeholder="Card or Phone Number" value="" maxlength="20"/> </div> <input type="hidden" id="phoneNumber" name="phoneNumber" value=""/>

  • Improving the performance of XSL

    - by Rachel
I am using the below XSL 2.0 code to find the ids of the text nodes that contains the list of indices that i give as input. the code works perfectly but in terms for performance it is taking a long time for huge files. Even for huge files if the index values are small then the result is quick in few ms. I am using saxon9he Java processor to execute the XSL. <xsl:variable name="insert-data" as="element(data)*"> <xsl:for-each-group select="doc($insert-file)/insert-data/data" group-by="xsd:integer(@index)"> <xsl:sort select="current-grouping-key()"/> <data index="{current-grouping-key()}" text-id="{generate-id( $main-root/descendant::text()[ sum((preceding::text(), .)/string-length(.)) ge current-grouping-key() ][1] )}"> <xsl:copy-of select="current-group()/node()"/> </data> </xsl:for-each-group> </xsl:variable> In the above solution if the index value is too huge say 270962 then the time taken for the XSL to execute is 83427ms. In huge files if the index value is huge say 4605415, 4605431 it takes several minutes to execute. Seems the computation of the variable "insert-data" takes time though it is a global variable and computed only once. Should the XSL be addessed or the processor? How can i improve the performance of the XSL.

  • XSLT: need to replace document('')

    - by Daziplqa
I've the following xslt file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <!-- USDomesticCountryList - USE UPPERCASE LETTERS ONLY --> <xsl:variable name="USDomesticCountryList"> <entry name="US"/> <entry name="UK"/> <entry name="EG"/> </xsl:variable> <!--// USDomesticCountryList --> <xsl:template name="IsUSDomesticCountry"> <xsl:param name="countryParam"/> <xsl:variable name="country" select="normalize-space($countryParam)"/> <xsl:value-of select="normalize-space(document('')//xsl:variable[@name='USDomesticCountryList']/entry[@name=$country]/@name)"/> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> I need to replace the "document('')" xpath function, what should I use instead? I've tried to remove it completely but the xsl document doesn't work for me! I need to to so because the problem is : I am using some XSLT document that uses the above file, say document a. So I have document a that includes the above file (document b). I am using doc a from java code, I am do Caching for doc a as a javax.xml.transform.Templates object to prevent multiple reads to the xsl file on every transformation request. I found that, the doc b is re-calling itself from the harddisk, I believe this is because of the document('') function above, so I wanna replace/remove it. Thanks.

  • Group variables in a boxplot in R

    - by tao.hong
    I am trying to generate a boxplot whose data come from two scenarios. In the plot, I would like to group boxes by their names (So there will be two boxes per variable). I know ggplot would be a good choice. But I got errors which I could not figure out. Can anyone give me some suggestions? sensitivity_out1 structure(c(0.0522902104339716, 0.0521369824334004, 0.0520240345973737, 0.0519818337359876, 0.051935071418996, 0.0519089404325544, 0.000392698277338341, 0.000326135474295325, 0.000280863338343747, 0.000259631566041935, 0.000246594043996332, 0.000237923540393391, 0.00046732650331544, 0.000474448907808135, 0.000478287273678457, 0.000480194683464109, 0.000480631753078668, 0.000481760272726273, 0.000947965771207979, 0.000944821699830455, 0.000939631071343889, 0.000937186900570605, 0.000936007346568281, 0.000934756220144141, 0.00132442589501872, 0.00132658367774979, 0.00133334696220742, 0.00133622384928092, 0.0013381577476241, 0.00134005741746304, 0.0991622968751298, 0.100791399440082, 0.101946808417405, 0.102524244727408, 0.102920085260477, 0.103232984259916, 0.0305219507186844, 0.0304635269233494, 0.0304161055015213, 0.0303742106794513, 0.0303381888169022, 0.0302996157711171, 1.94268588634518e-05, 2.23991225564447e-05, 2.5756135487907e-05, 2.79997917298194e-05, 3.00753967077715e-05, 3.16270817369878e-05, 0.544701146678523, 0.542887331601984, 0.541632986366816, 0.541005610554556, 0.540617004208336, 0.540315690692195, 0.000453386694666078, 0.000448473414508756, 0.00044692043197248, 0.000444826296854332, 0.000445747996014684, 0.000444764303682453, 0.000127569551159321, 0.000128422491392669, 0.00012933662856487, 0.000129941842982939, 0.000129578971489026, 0.000131113075233758, 0.00684610571790029, 0.00686349387897349, 0.00687468164010565, 0.00687880720347743, 0.00688275579317197, 0.00687822247621936), .Dim = c(6L, 12L)) out2 structure(c(0.0189965816735366, 0.0189995096225103, 0.0190099362589894, 0.0190033523148514, 0.01900896721937, 0.0190099427513381, 0.00192043989797585, 0.00207303208721059, 0.00225931163225165, 0.0024049969048389, 0.00252310364086785, 0.00262940166568126, 0.00195164921633517, 0.00190079923515755, 0.00186139563778548, 0.00184188171395076, 0.00183248544676564, 0.00182492970673969, 1.83038731485927e-05, 1.98252671720347e-05, 2.14794764479231e-05, 2.30713122969332e-05, 2.4484220713564e-05, 2.55958833705284e-05, 0.0428066864455102, 0.0431686808647809, 0.0434411033615353, 0.0435883377765726, 0.0436690169266633, 0.0437340464360965, 0.145288252474567, 0.141488776430307, 0.138204532539654, 0.136281799717717, 0.134864952272761, 0.133738386148036, 0.0711728636959696, 0.072031388688795, 0.0727536853228245, 0.0731581966147734, 0.0734424337399303, 0.0736637270702609, 0.000605277151497094, 0.000617268349064968, 0.000632975679951382, 0.000643904422677427, 0.000653775268094148, 0.000662225067910141, 0.26735354610469, 0.267515415990146, 0.26753155165617, 0.267553498616325, 0.267532284594615, 0.267510330320289, 0.000334158771646756, 0.000319032383145857, 0.000306074699839994, 0.000299153278494114, 0.000293956197852583, 0.000290171804454218, 0.000645975219899115, 0.000637548672578787, 0.000632375486965757, 0.000629579821884212, 0.000624956458229123, 0.000622456283217054, 0.0645188290106884, 0.0651539609630352, 0.0656417364889907, 0.0658996698322889, 0.0660715073023965, 0.0662034341510152), .Dim = c(6L, 12L)) Melt data: group variable value 1 1 PLDKRT 0 2 1 PLDKRT 0 3 1 PLDKRT 0 4 1 PLDKRT 0 5 1 PLDKRT 0 6 1 PLDKRT 0 Code: #Data_source 1 sensitivity_1=rbind(sensitivity_out1,sensitivity_out2) sensitivity_1=data.frame(sensitivity_1) colnames(sensitivity_1)=main_l #variable names sensitivity_1$group=1 #Data_source 2 sensitivity_2=rbind(sensitivity_out1[3:4,],sensitivity_out2[3:4,]) sensitivity_2=data.frame(sensitivity_2) colnames(sensitivity_2)=main_l sensitivity_2$group=2 sensitivity_pool=rbind(sensitivity_1,sensitivity_2) sensitivity_pool_m=melt(sensitivity_pool,id.vars="group") ggplot(data = sensitivity_pool_m, aes(x = variable, y = value)) + geom_boxplot(aes( fill= group), width = 0.8) Error: "Error in unit(tic_pos.c, "mm") : 'x' and 'units' must have length > 0" Update Figure out the error. • java annotations - problem with calling a locator class from a Vaadin Project

    - by George
Hello, I'm not sure how to explain this without writing several pages so I hope the actual code is more expressive. I've made a jar containing multiple annotation declaration similar to the following: @Target(ElementType.PACKAGE) @Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME) public @interface MarkedPackage { } then I have made a test jar containing several classes in several packages and marked just one package with the above annotation (with package-info.java) like below: @myPackage.MarkedPackage package package.test.jar; this jar had in its build path the jar containing the annotations. then I made a static class that has a method (LoadPlugins) that retrieves a list with all the jars of a directory. Then it searches through the jars for the 'package-info' class and checks if that classes package contains the MarkedPackage annotation. by calling this: if (checkPackageAnnotation(thisClass.getPackage())) where thisClass is the package-info class retrieved via a classloader. and: public static boolean checkPackageAnnotation(AnnotatedElement elem) { System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); if (elem == null || !elem.isAnnotationPresent(MarkedPackage.class)) return false; return true; } the elem.getAnnotatios().length is there for debug purposes. And the problem appears when I call the method from the static class: if I call it from a main function: public class MyMain { public static void main(String[] args){ PluginUtils.LoadPlugins(); } } everything works perfectly it displays '1' from that System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); But if I call it from a button from my Vaadin project: header.addComponent(new Button("CallThat", new Button.ClickListener() { public void buttonClick(ClickEvent event) { PluginUtils.LoadPlugins(); } })); It displays '0' from that System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); Also I should mention that I created the main inside my Vaadin project so it would have the exact same build path and resources. Is there a problem with web applications and that "@Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME)" ? hope I was clear enough... Hope someone has a solution for me... If you need more information - let me know. Thank you.

  • What is the form_for syntax for nested resources?

    - by Kris
I am trying to create a form for a nested resource. The routes also generate correctly is used like this for example, so I dont think their is an issue with the route or url helpers. <%= website_domains_path(1) %> <%= website_data_source_path(1, 1) %> Rails 2.3.5

  • JAVA - Download PDF file from Webserver

    - by Augusto Picciani
I need to download a pdf file from a webserver to my pc and save it locally. I used Httpclient to connect to webserver and get the content body: HttpEntity entity=response.getEntity(); InputStream in=entity.getContent(); String stream = CharStreams.toString(new InputStreamReader(in)); int size=stream.length(); System.out.println("stringa html page LENGTH:"+stream.length()); System.out.println(stream); SaveToFile(stream); Then i save content in a file: //check CRLF (i don't know if i need to to this) String[] fix=stream.split("\r\n"); File file=new File("C:\\Users\\augusto\\Desktop\\progetti web\\test\\test2.pdf"); PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter(new FileWriter(file)); for (int i = 0; i < fix.length; i++) { out.print(fix[i]); out.print("\n"); } out.close(); I also tried to save a String content to file directly: OutputStream out=new FileOutputStream("pathPdfFile"); out.write(stream.getBytes()); out.close(); But the result is always the same: I can open pdf file but i can see white pages only. Does the mistake is around pdf stream and endstream charset encoding? Does pdf content between stream and endStream need to be manipulate in some others way?

  • Transform only one axis to log10 scale with ggplot2

    - by daroczig
I have the following problem: I would like to visualize a discrete and a continuous variable on a boxplot in which the latter has a few extreme high values. This makes the boxplot meaningless (the points and even the "body" of the chart is too small), that is why I would like to show this on a log10 scale. I am aware that I could leave out the extreme values from the visualization, but I am not intended to. Let's see a simple example with diamonds data: m <- ggplot(diamonds, aes(y = price, x = color)) The problem is not serious here, but I hope you could imagine why I would like to see the values at a log10 scale. Let's try it: m + geom_boxplot() + coord_trans(y = "log10") As you can see the y axis is log10 scaled and looks fine but there is a problem with the x axis, which makes the plot very strange. The problem do not occur with scale_log, but this is not an option for me, as I cannot use a custom formatter this way. E.g.: m + geom_boxplot() + scale_y_log10() My question: does anyone know a solution to plot the boxplot with log10 scale on y axis which labels could be freely formatted with a formatter function like in this thread? Editing the question to help answerers based on answers and comments: What I am really after: one log10 transformed axis (y) with not scientific labels. I would like to label it like dollar (formatter=dollar) or any custom format. If I try @hadley's suggestion I get the following warnings: > m + geom_boxplot() + scale_y_log10(formatter=dollar) Warning messages: 1: In max(x) : no non-missing arguments to max; returning -Inf 2: In max(x) : no non-missing arguments to max; returning -Inf 3: In max(x) : no non-missing arguments to max; returning -Inf With an unchanged y axis labels:

  • Indentation control while developing a small python like language

    - by sap
Hello, I'm developing a small python like language using flex, byacc (for lexical and parsing) and C++, but i have a few questions regarding scope control. just as python it uses white spaces (or tabs) for indentation, not only that but i want to implement index breaking like for instance if you type "break 2" inside a while loop that's inside another while loop it would not only break from the last one but from the first loop as well (hence the number 2 after break) and so on. example: while 1 while 1 break 2 'hello world'!! #will never reach this. "!!" outputs with a newline end 'hello world again'!! #also will never reach this. again "!!" used for cout end #after break 2 it would jump right here but since I don't have an "anti" tab character to check when a scope ends (like C for example i would just use the '}' char) i was wondering if this method would the the best: I would define a global variable, like "int tabIndex" on my yacc file that i would access in my lex file using extern. then every time i find a tab character on my lex file i would increment that variable by 1. when parsing on my yacc file if i find a "break" keyword i would decrement by the amount typed after it from the tabIndex variable, and when i reach and EOF after compiling and i get a tabIndex != 0 i would output compilation error. now the problem is, whats the best way to see if the indentation got reduced, should i read \b (backspace) chars from lex and then reduce the tabIndex variable (when the user doesn't use break)? another method to achieve this? also just another small question, i want every executable to have its starting point on the function called start() should i hardcode this onto my yacc file? sorry for the long question any help is greatly appreciated. also if someone can provide an yacc file for python would be nice as a guideline (tried looking on Google and had no luck). thanks in advance.

  • Why does iOS 5 fail to connect to a server running JDK 1.6, but not JDK 1.5

    - by KC Baltz
We have a Java Socket Server listening on an SSLSocket (port 443) and an iOS application that connects with it. When running on iOS 5.1, the application stopped working when we upgraded the Java version of the server from JDK 1.5 to 1.6 (or 1.7). The app connects just fine to JDK 5 and 6 when running on iOS 6. The iOS app is reporting an error: -9809 = errSSLCrypto. On the Java side, we get javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: close_notify. On the Java server side, we have enabled all the available cipher suites. On the client side we have tested enabling several different suites, although we have yet to complete a test involving each one individually enabled. Right now, it is failing when we use TLS_DH_anon_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA although it has failed with others and we are starting to think it's not the suite. Here is the debug output. It makes it all the way to ServerHelloDone and then fails shortly thereafter: Is secure renegotiation: false [Raw read]: length = 5 0000: 16 03 03 00 41 ....A [Raw read]: length = 65 0000: 01 00 00 3D 03 03 50 83 1E 0B 56 19 25 65 C8 F2 ...=..P...V.%e.. 0010: AF 02 AD 48 FE E2 92 CF B8 D7 A6 A3 EA C5 FF 5D ...H...........] 0020: 74 0F 1B C1 99 18 00 00 08 00 FF 00 34 00 1B 00 t...........4... 0030: 18 01 00 00 0C 00 0D 00 08 00 06 05 01 04 01 02 ................ 0040: 01 . • Can anyone share a code snippet to Update Google Documents

    - by Sana
Hi, I am relentlessly trying to update an existing google doc with the Google Protocol Data API, but the contents do not get updated, even though the PUT runs perfectly fine with a return response code of 200. Here is the code that I am using try { HttpRequest requestPost = transport.buildPutRequest(); requestPost.url = DocsUrl.forUploadingFile(editLink); ((GoogleHeaders) requestPost.headers).setSlugFromFileName("books1.xml"); InputStreamContent content = new InputStreamContent(); File file = new File("//sdcard/books.xml"); content.setFileInput(file); content.type = "text/plain"; content.length = file.length(); System.out.println("Length of the file = "+content.length); requestPost.content = content; HttpResponse responseUpload = requestPost.execute(); System.out.println("Uploading code = "+responseUpload.statusCode); } catch (FileNotFoundException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { System.out.println("Client Protocol Exception"); } catch (IOException e) { handleException(e); } where editLink is the editLink edit-media link returned from google doc feeds.

  • Browsers disagree about the text of a body element

    - by Charles Anderson
My HTML looks like this: <html> <head> <title>Test</title> <script type="text/javascript" src="jQuery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function init() { var text = jQuery('body').text(); alert('length = ' + text.length); } </script> </head> <body onload="init()">0123456789</body> </html> When I load this in Firefox, the length is reported as 10. However, in Chrome it's 11 because it thinks there's a linefeed after the '9'. In IE it's also 11, but the last character is an escape. Meanwhile, Opera thinks there are 12 characters, with the last two being CR LF. If I change the body element to include a span: <body onload="init()"><span>0123456789</span></body> and the jQuery call to: var text = jQuery('body span').text(); then all the browsers agree that the length is 10. Clearly it's the body element that's causing the issue, but can anyone explain exactly why this is happening? I'm particularly surprised because the excellent jQuery is normally browser-independent.

  • Reading in bytes produced by PHP script in Java to create a bitmap

I'm having trouble getting the compressed jpeg image (stored as a blob in my database). here is the snippet of code I use to output the image that I have in my database: if($row = mysql_fetch_array($sql)) { $size = $row['image_size']; $image = $row['image']; if($image == null){ echo "no image!"; } else { header('Content-Type: content/data'); header("Content-length: $size"); echo $image; } } here is the code that I use to read in from the server: URL sizeUrl = new URL(MYURL); URLConnection sizeConn = sizeUrl.openConnection(); // Get The Response BufferedReader sizeRd = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(sizeConn.getInputStream())); String line = ""; while(line.equals("")){ line = sizeRd.readLine(); } int image_size = Integer.parseInt(line); if(image_size == 0){ return null; } URL imageUrl = new URL(MYIMAGEURL); URLConnection imageConn = imageUrl.openConnection(); // Get The Response InputStream imageRd = imageConn.getInputStream(); byte[] bytedata = new byte[image_size]; int read = imageRd.read(bytedata, 0, image_size); Log.e("IMAGEDOWNLOADER", "read "+ read + " amount of bytes"); Log.e("IMAGEDOWNLOADER", "byte data has length " + bytedata.length); Bitmap theImage = BitmapFactory.decodeByteArray(bytedata, 0, image_size); if(theImage == null){ Log.e("IMAGEDOWNLOADER", "the bitmap is null"); } return theImage; My logging shows that everything has the right length, yet theImage is always null. I'm thinking it has to do with my content type. Or maybe the way I'm uploading?

  • Case class copy() method abstraction.

    - by Joa Ebert
I would like to know if it is possible to abstract the copy method of case classes. Basically I have something like sealed trait Op and then something like case class Push(value: Int) extends Op and case class Pop() extends Op. The first problem: A case class without arguments/members does not define a copy method. You can try this in the REPL. scala> case class Foo() defined class Foo scala> Foo().copy() <console>:8: error: value copy is not a member of Foo Foo().copy() ^ scala> case class Foo(x: Int) defined class Foo scala> Foo(0).copy() res1: Foo = Foo(0) Is there a reason why the compiler makes this exception? I think it is rather unituitive and I would expect every case class to define a copy method. The second problem: I have a method def ops: List[Op] and I would like to copy all ops like ops map { _.copy() }. How would I define the copy method in the Op trait? I get a "too many arguments" error if I say def copy(): this.type. However, since all copy() methods have only optional arguments: why is this incorrect? And, how do I do that correct? By making another method named def clone(): this.type and write everywhere def clone() = copy() for all the case classes? I hope not.

Why is it calling reverse instead of my mock_reverse (it is looking up my urls.py!!) The author of Mock library Michael Foord did a video cast here (around 9:17), and in the example he passed the mock object request to the view function index. Furthermore, he patched POll and assigned an expected return value. Isn't that what I am doing here? I patched reverse? Thanks.

  • How to extract part of the path and the ending file name with Regex?

    - by brasofilo
I need to build an associative array with the plugin name and the language file it uses in the following sequence: /whatever/path/length/public_html/wp-content/plugins/adminimize/languages/adminimize-en_US.mo /whatever/path/length/public_html/wp-content/plugins/audio-tube/lang/atp-en_US.mo /whatever/path/length/public_html/wp-content/languages/en_US.mo /whatever/path/length/public_html/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/languages/en_US.mo Those are the language files WordPress is loading. They are all inside /wp-content/, but with variable server paths. I'm looking only for those inside the plugins folder, grab the plugin folder name and the filename. Hipothetical case in PHP, where reg_extract_* functions are the parts I'm missing: $plugins = array(); foreach( $big_array as $item ) { $folder = reg_extract_folder( $item ); if( 'plugin' == $folder ) { // "folder-name-after-plugins-folder" $plugin_name = reg_extract_pname( $item ); // "ending-mo-file.mo" $file_name = reg_extract_fname( $item ); $plugins[] = array( 'name' => $plugin_name, 'file' => $file_name ); } } [update] Ok, so I was missing quite a basic function, pathinfo... :/ No problem to detect if /plugins/ is contained in the array. • How am I able to create A List<T> containing a generic Interface?

    - by Conrad Clark
I have a List which must contain IInteract Objects. But IInteract is a generic interface which requires 2 type arguments. My main idea is iterate through a list of Objects and "Interact" one with another if they didn't interact yet. So i have this object List<IObject> WorldObjects = new List<IObject>(); and this one: private List<IInteract> = new List<IInteract>(); Except I can't compile the last line because IInteract requires 2 type arguments. But I don't know what the arguments are until I add them. I could add interactions between Objects of Type A and A... or Objects of Type B and C. I want to create "Interaction" classes which do something with the "acting" object and the "target" object, but I want them to be independent from the objects... so I could add an Interaction between for instance... "SuperUltraClass" and... an "integer". Am I using the wrong approach?

  • Python - Things one MUST avoid

    - by Anurag Uniyal
Today I was bitten again by "Mutable default arguments" after many years. I usually don't use mutable default arguments unless needed but I think with time I forgot about that, and today in the application I added tocElements=[] in a pdf generation function's argument list and now 'Table of Content' gets longer and longer after each invocation of "generate pdf" :) My question is what other things should I add to my list of things to MUST avoid? 1 Mutable default arguments 2 import modules always same way e.g. 'from y import x' and 'import x' are totally different things actually they are treated as different modules see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1459236/module-reimported-if-imported-from-different-path 3 Do not use range in place of lists because range() will become an iterator anyway, so things like this will fail, so wrap it by list myIndexList = [0,1,3] isListSorted = myIndexList == range(3) # will fail in 3.0 isListSorted = myIndexList == list(range(3)) # will not same thing can be mistakenly done with xrange e.g myIndexList == xrange(3). 4 Catching multiple exceptions try: raise KeyError("hmm bug") except KeyError,TypeError: print TypeError It prints "hmm bug", though it is not a bug, it looks like we are catching exceptions of type KeyError,TypeError but instead we are catching KeyError only as variable TypeError, instead use try: raise KeyError("hmm bug") except (KeyError,TypeError): print TypeError

  • Constructor Overloading

    - by Mark Baker
Normally when I want to create a class constructor that accepts different types of parameters, I'll use a kludgy overloading principle of not defining any args in the constructor definition: e.g. for an ECEF coordinate class constructor, I want it to accept either $x, $y and $z arguments, or to accept a single array argument containg x, y and z values, or to accept a single LatLong object I'd create a constructor looking something like: function __construct() { // Identify if any arguments have been passed to the constructor if (func_num_args() > 0) { $args = func_get_args(); // Identify the overload constructor required, based on the datatype of the first argument $argType = gettype($args[0]); switch($argType) { case 'array' : // Array of Cartesian co-ordinate values $overloadConstructor = 'setCoordinatesFromArray'; break; case 'object' : // A LatLong object that needs converting to Cartesian co-ordinate values $overloadConstructor = 'setCoordinatesFromLatLong'; break; default : // Individual Cartesian co-ordinate values $overloadConstructor = 'setCoordinatesFromXYZ'; break; } // Call the appropriate overload constructor call_user_func_array(array($this,$overloadConstructor),$args); } } // function __construct() I'm looking at an alternative: to provide a straight constructor with $x, $y and $z as defined arguments, and to provide static methods of createECEFfromArray() and createECEFfromLatLong() that handle all the necessary extraction of x, y and z; then create a new ECEF object using the standard constructor, and return that Which option is cleaner from an OO purists perspective?

  • Concatenating a string and byte array in to unmanaged memory.

    - by Scott Chamberlain
This is a followup to my last question. I now have a byte[] of values for my bitmap image. Eventually I will be passing a string to the print spooler of the format String.Format("GW{0},{1},{2},{3},", X, Y, stride, _Bitmap.Height) + my binary data; I am using the SendBytesToPrinter command from here. Here is my code so far to send it to the printer public static bool SendStringPlusByteBlockToPrinter(string szPrinterName, string szString, byte[] bytes) { IntPtr pBytes; Int32 dwCount; // How many characters are in the string? dwCount = szString.Length; // Assume that the printer is expecting ANSI text, and then convert // the string to ANSI text. pBytes = Marshal.StringToCoTaskMemAnsi(szString); pBytes = Marshal.ReAllocCoTaskMem(pBytes, szString.Length + bytes.Length); Marshal.Copy(bytes,0, SOMTHING GOES HERE,bytes.Length); // this is the problem line // Send the converted ANSI string + the concatenated bytes to the printer. SendBytesToPrinter(szPrinterName, pBytes, dwCount); Marshal.FreeCoTaskMem(pBytes); return true; } My issue is I do not know how to make my data appended on to the end of the string. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if I am doing this totally wrong I am fine in going a entirely different way (for example somehow getting the binary data concatenated on to the string before the move to unmanaged space. P.S. As a second question, will ReAllocCoTaskMem move the data that is sitting in it before the call to the new location?

  • I want to request JSON inside of a WordPress page.

    - by gnucom
Hello Everyone, For the last few hours I've been trying to set up this http://code.google.com/apis/books/docs/dynamic-links.html on a WordPress blog. Google's API sends back a JSON response (which is supposed to be "put" into _GBSBookInfo variable). However, that variable never is assigned so my javascript callback function explodes saying the variable doesn't exist. So far, all of my javascript is in the WordPress header. I tried this outside of WordPress and it works fine. This is the static page: <script src="http://books.google.com/books?bibkeys=0307346609&jscmd=viewapi&callback=response_handler"> This is the handler: function response_handler(data) { var bookInfo = _GBSBookInfo["0307346609"]; // the var that doesn't exist document.getElementById("test123").innerHTML = bookInfo.thumbnail_url; } Thanks for any help in advance, WordPress has been extremely frustrating by limiting so much! If I'm doing anything stupid please say so, I'm a new javascript programmer. EDIT: I've used firebug so far to identify the problem to be: the _GBSBookInfo variable never gets "created" or "exists". I'm not sure how javascript works at this level. Hopefully this helps. ERRORS: Error: _GBSBookInfo is not defined Line: 79

  • How do I display a view as if it's the front page via a module?

    - by Justin
I have a simple view that feeds a home page. I have a custom module that registers some specific URLs in hook_menu that I pass into my module so I can pass them as arguments into the view. I can get the module to display the view all right, but it doesn't use the teaser/is_front view that outputs when I access the home page. I looked through the APIs but I can't seem to figure out how I can output the view via my module as if it's the front page, meaning $is_front is true and the teasers would appear. The reason I'm not passing in the arguments via the URL bar into the view itself is: My argument list is known and finite The argument order is mixed, meaning I will sometimes have /argument1, /argument1/argument2 or just /argument2. I only want to capture the first level URL as an argument for specific, known strings (e.g. I don't want to pass /admin into my view but I do want to pass in /los-angeles, which I register in the menu system via hook_menu in my module) Here are some examples to make this more clear: /admin - loads the admin page /user - loads the login page /boston - passes into the first argument of the view; shows in front/teaser mode / - shows view with no arguments /bread - passes into argument 2 of the view; shows in front/teaser mode /boston/bread - Passes into argument 1 and 2 of the view; shows in front/teaser mode Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way? Or perhaps there is a way to have a module load a view and somehow set front/teaser mode? Details: Drupal 6, PHP 5, MySQL 5, Views, CCK
